Situated within 100 acres of lush Devonshire landscape and just 2 miles from Woolacombe Beach, No.1 The Vista offers a beautifully styled and well-equipped haven, making it the perfect base for enjoying the North Devon coastline with family and friends.

Designed for ultimate comfort, the home is equipped with top-notch amenities, including Smart TVs, streaming devices, and music systems to entertain both adults and children. The double-volume open plan living/dining/cooking space with sliding doors to the outside provides an ideal setting for indoor/outdoor entertaining. A private terrace and garden allow for BBQ sessions and relaxation. The four luxury bedrooms offer sumptuous retreats, with a twin and king on the ground floor and another twin and king upstairs. Both twin rooms can be reconfigured to super kings, catering to the needs of large families or four couples.

Willingcott not only offers exceptional views but also provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities like walking routes and cycle tracks. The Tarka Trail passes by, and the South West Coast Path is easily accessible, providing an unparalleled experience of North Devon's beauty.

Woolacombe, one of Devon's best beaches, is an ideal spot for both family days out and water sport fanatics. At low tide the 3-mile beach reveals a series of rock pools which are perfect for little explorers to get up close with local marine life, and it's especially good for surfing too. A beach-based surf school means visitors of all ages and abilities can take to the waves, and equipment hire companies right on the beach mean you don't need to lug wetsuits and boards along with you. The region is renowned for other beaches as well, including sheltered bays like Barricane and Lee Bay, and the charming Puttsborough and Saunton Sands.

Comfortable and spacious accommodation.

Very clean and well equipped holiday home with a lovely sweet treat welcome gift. Everyone was very comfortable and made good use of the hot tub and site swimming pool, which was easy to book. A short drive to Woolacombe beach and other local attractions. A bit expensive but would book again for a special occasion.

An enjoyable and relaxing stay

We spent Monday to Friday at No1 The vista with the family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There were 8 of us altogether plus 2 small dogs and there was plenty of room for all of us. It felt like home, we were all very comfortable. We made use of the jacuzzi and the barbecue. The view from the decking was fantastic, there was lots of space outside. I have already recommended it to friends. No, it’s not cheap but we felt, as it was a special occasion, it was worth every penny.

Vista Experience

Great holiday and great accommodation. Property is modern, airy and well kept. Benefits from private EV charging point. Benefits from a shared swimming pool (has to be booked in advance - but no problems, booked multiple times, almost daily). Large private hot tub. Parking for two and 3 shared visitor spaces. The only thing that could have made the property better is if it had been located on the beach, but it’s only a short ride into Woolacombe.

A little disappointing

I booked this holiday specifically as there was an EV charger at the house. Arriving on Friday afternoon after a long drive we unpacked and put the car on charge only to find the EV charger not working. As per the welcome pack, I messaged Ashley and Nicola that afternoon about this and the fact that the charger appeared to have power going to it but clearly had lost it’s internet connection as the Monta App showed the charger as offline, therefore we were unable to initiate a charging session. Ashley did reply saying that he had looked into it and may need to call his electrician. I’m the meantime, as number 8 was vacant, he offered us the use of that charger. What would have happened in number 8 was not vacant I wondered. We did manage to initiate a charging session from that charger, although as a 7.4kw charger, it seemed to work disappointingly slowly, never getting above 3.5kw. This I also reported to Ashley on Friday evening and he said he would speak to his electrician and keep me updated. Come Tuesday I had heard nothing from him so I messaged him once more and he failed to respond. In fact, he didn’t responded at all for the rest of our holiday, despite telling me he would keep me updated. I was understandably disappointed by his lack of communication and action to resolve these issues that were brought to his attention on the first day! Furthermore the welcome guide mentioned a Wondrwall lighting and heating system was in the house, which upon asking Ashley about this, turns out didnt exist. It appeared that there were Bluetooth enabled electric radiators for which we had no clue how to use, as with every other appliance in the property, there were no instructions anywhere. I found this rather strange, more so the fact we were offered no advice on how to use the heating system. Don’t get me wrong, I rarely complain about things, but this was not a cheap holiday rental but I thought I’d treat my partner for our 10th wedding anniversary, but this is not what I would have expected from a luxury property, added to the fact I felt it was poorly managed. May I also add that a little maintenance within the property is needed. Such as multiple broken door handles, sticking doors and although the cushions and bedding were clean, they were stained and could do with a refresh/replacement. Overall the house was nice, comfortable and spacious, however, as mentioned above there is lots of room for improvement which I do hope will happen as I’m sad to say, as lovely as the place is, I think it doubtful that I will return as I had high expectations of this house and I’m afraid to said it fell short on this occasion.

all ok

all went ok - beautiful house in nice surroundings. There was some mouldy food in the cupboards when we arrived which hadn't been dealt with but soon was. Had a couple of small faults when there and got no reply from the owners to fix them - but nothing too important.
