Stunning Coastal Cottage - Sleeping 5 in 2 Bedrooms - Pool and Beach Access Included.

Welcome to Ocean Cove - part of the Bay Filey Holiday Village, it is ideal for couples or a growing family with children.

This cottage has recently been purchased by the owners and has been lovingly refurbished and remodelled prior to rental in January 2024. In 2025 both the en-suite and the main bathroom have been replaced with stunning modern facilities.
Enter into the airy hallway with storage for all your essentials and access to the downstairs cloak / WC.

Walk through into the large open plan lounge diner with new corner sofa (for 5), large SMART TV, feature stove (electric not log) and large bifold doors across the width of the lounge opening onto the patio and BBQ area.

There is a large dining table and refurbished kitchen with plenty of equipment for 5 and includes dishwasher, washer, new fridge freezer etc as well as a Tassimo coffee machine (guest to supply pods).

Upstairs the property comprises of 1 king bedroom with new en-suite shower room (and a glimpse of the sea) with a further second bedroom with double bed and single bed above (bunk style) . There is a large new family bathroom complete with bath and overhead rainfall shower off the second bedroom.

Travel Cot and High Chair are available for use free of charge (own bedding required).

We leave a few games for our guests to use. This warm and cosy house is ideal for breaks all year round.

Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Comfortable, well appointed holiday house in lovely location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ocean Cove. It was very clean and comfortable and close to the cliff path and beach. We enjoyed walks along the beach in both directions and the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is close by and worth a visit when there are so many birds to see.

Fabulous experience

We have had the best time in this lovely cottage thanks to the recommendation, advice and support from Anthony at Anchor Bay holidays. We stay at The Bay regularly and have been lucky with our choice of accomodation but this is without doubt, the best 2 bedroomed cottage we have stayed in. The location, space and home comforts were perfect and we hope to return soon.

Very much enjoyed our second stay in Ocean Cove. All facilties and location excellent and weather was kind too. Would recommend for a couple or family with 2/3 children.

Perfect and cosy!

This house is a 2 min walk from the main pub and entertainment area but far enough to feel quiet and secluded. Lovely few days away in a home from home!

Wonderful stay at Ocean Cove

We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean Cove cottage it is in a great location for the beach. Plenty of space, very clean, comfortable, well equipped and having the large bifold doors was lovely with the wonderful weather we had. The beds were lovely and comfortable but the bunk bed was a little unsteady and we didn’t use it. There is a spare folding bed which was great. Maybe a stair gate would be useful. We have stayed a few times at The Bay and this cottage is definitely one of our favourite and will be recommending it to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful short break

We have stayed at The Bay on numerous occasions but this was one of our favourite properties. It was spotlessly clean and had very well equipped. Beds very comfortable although probably wouldn’t have used the top bunk in the spare room as quite high and a little unsteady. The weather was brilliant which was a bonus for mid February. Would definitely stay again

A chilled weekend

Loved our stay at Oceans Cove. The location of the house near to the beach was perfect for our early morning walks with Ozzy - he loved having the beach to himself… and what a beach - Amazing! The house was lovely and clean, provided everything we needed for our weekend of just chilling. My girls (13yr and 9yr) enjoyed the swimming pool and felt safe walking around the estate. The size of the bedrooms were surprising, very spacious house and a real home from home feel. We are back in July, but as part of a larger group, and this weekend has enhanced our excitement for that, thanks for being perfect. Would definitely be back to Oceans Cove x

A week away

We booked Ocean view having researched Bay Filey and working out how close to the beach footpath and facilities this property was, we were spot on with location. The property is spotlessly clean and we enjoyed our stay, our only gripe I would say is trying to set the water temp on the shower, either cold or too hot. Would recommend to all.

Very well kept holiday park in an excellent location, kids loved it.

Very well kept holiday park in an excellent location, we particularly enjoyed walking down to the beach and up into the meadows. Kids enjoyed the pool too, although it could be brightened up a bit as it is quite enclosed with no windows. Handy shop and pharmacy on site, as well as a games arcade and lovely pub where you could also sit outside. We cooked at home most days, Ocean Cove property was spotless, comfortable and spacious, with bi-fold doors and a pleasant area to sit outside or to BBQ. Weather was kind to us, even had a swim in the sea. Filey very handy for supermarket. Had a really nice day out in Scarborough too. Would definitely return and the kids and our pooch thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Ocean Cove what a find!

We discovered Anchor Bay on Facebook and found a property that was a great price in an area we were looking to go for a short 4 night break. Booking was very easy and the level of information and contact was first rate. Anything you would need to know for the visit was sent through in a timely manner. The property was totally faultless. Exceptionally clean, not a single hint that a dog had been in the place the week before. Considering the property is in between 2 others, we didn’t hear a single noise from the next doors. Location is great for access to the beach, pub and leisure facilities. Some online reviews slated the pub and staff but what we found was really friendly staff and great pub food at reasonable prices. Drinks are a little expensive but we didn’t have to drive to find a pub off the resort. Trips out to Flamborough, Scarborough and long walks on the beach. The Bay Filey is a good holiday destination for families that don’t want the loud kids club children’s entertainment type resorts.

Short stay by the beach

Lovely house near the path down to the beach and all the amenities. Loved that the bathrooms were ensuite and there was a separate toilet downstairs. Maybe for the price hand soap could be provided in all bathrooms. On the surface looks really clean and lovely but we had to wash everything again that we wanted to use as it was dirty, I know they say not to fill the dishwasher as it doesn't work very well when full so I'm guessing that didn't happen. Plus there were streaks on all the mirrors. We also ran out of hot water during our stay (which made for a fun shower experience!) and it turns out the immersion heater was switched off. The TV in the bedroom is a bit temperamental and the one in the living room seems to have a bright light to the right hand side, it still works but it is distracting. Beds are comfortable and the reclining sofa was a nice touch. The good bits did out weigh the bad though and we would stay again.

Hi Thank you for your review - we are sorry that you felt "for the price" hand soap should be in the bathrooms - this property is exceptional value for money and you paid 4 nights for the price of 3 which is even better - we don't actually do it for cost - we do say in the arrival info that we cant due to allergy reasons - we are sorry you missed that in the info. The dishwasher - apologies the previous guests didn't fill or switch it on so in order for the cleaners to ensure you had pots they rushed on this occasion and forgot - I am sorry. Apologies for the hot water - we have no idea why the previous guests turned this off as they left. You will note there is a big sign on the immersion saying not to do interfere with it and contact us and I do note you didn't contact us about it and we would have had a plumber come and check this within 5 minutes of your call. The TV - apologies about the LED light as this is the in-built standby light on a really top of the range TV and there are instructions provided so you can turn this off and I note you didn't do this?

Anniversary short break stay

Lovely recently refurbished cottage with very comfortable corner settee/beds. The owners have furnished it tastefully and the decor is nice with seaside paintings which add to the coastal theme. Good location on the site with easy access to the beach path, on site pub and swimming pool complex. The cottage is very spacious for a 2 bed and has 2 bathrooms too so ideal for 2 couples as well as families with good storage in the bedrooms. I am extremely fussy with cleanliness and the property was exceptionally clean and only marked down 1 point as the shower wasnt draining so had to clean the shower trap, also the sealant could do with renewing or cleaning. Manuals for operating the kitchen appliances would be helpful and a stair gate as the stairs with having open spindles and a quarter turn make it hard to put a free standing gate up in order to keep the dog downstairs. Also a few more general cleaning products would be useful. It was lovely to open the bedroom blinds in the morning and enjoy the sea glimpses you could get from the bedroom windows. I would definitely return to the cottage and hopefully if the weather was warmer make use of the patio/bbq.

A lovely well presented cottage

We’ve stayed at The Bay Filey for a number of years. This was another lovely well presented cottage through Anchor Bay holidays. It was in a brilliant position for the beach and amenities. It was also pet friendly. We had a great seven night stay.

Lovely house. Great location

This is a great property with everything you need. Close to amenities and near to the beach path which is ideal as a dog owner. Will definitely be booking again.
