A further three miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its beach and sand dunes in the shadow of its majestic castle. Further down the coastline is the fishing village of Craster, famous for its kippers, and just a short walk along the coastal path from the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.

A few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle and a film location for Harry Potter films. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular garden including the grand waterfall, and where you can also dine within Europe’s largest tree house!
