Bus - lines 442, Ashbourne - Hartington - Buxton - Bus Route Mapwhich is located in front of the property on Harpur Hill Road. Break in the Peak District

We had a lovely stay at Muse Escape in Buxton. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the hot tub was absolutely fantastic — perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring. The location was also great, making it easy to get into Buxton and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Muse Escape. We would happily stay here again!

Really lovely stay in the opera suite, two similar size bed rooms one en-suite. Beautiful hot tub and spacious garden area. Nice kitchen and lounge very spacious apartment, beautifully decorated, well placed location with lots of parking. Would love to return

Great stay with comfortable beds!

We had a really nice visit to Buxton and despite terrible weather we were thrilled to have such a comfortable place to stay with a fantastic hot tub. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the guide book is helpful. The beds are very comfortable and our group had great sleeps

Stayed there for 3 nights. Apartment comfortable with everything you need. Only issue we had was a bit more privacy on our bathroom with blinds would be better. Apart from that enjoyed our stay appreciated all the information provided on amenities and places to visit

Super weekend

We met with friends for a retirement celebration. Everything was first-rate, the decor is splendid, the bed very comfortable and there is a luxurious feel to the whole apartment. The hot tub was the star of the show! Buxton is beautiful, even in the rain and we dined in a great French restaurant. Can't wait to come back.

Comfy Stay in Stylish Apartment

Four of us plus a small Labrador thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. A warm and well equipped apartment with plenty of space, tasteful furnishings and a great private outdoor space gave us an ideal base for a break exploring the Peak District. Thorough and clear information prior to arrival was helpful . Would happily stay again.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in the Opera Suite. Beds were extremely comfortable with lovely linen. Apartment was very clean and loved the decor. Hot tub was also great, and we were relieved to have robes as we didn’t bring towels. Two negatives: the bathroom has no frosted glass or blind. Whilst we could see the windows overlooking the bathroom were frosted, it really made us feel uncomfortable so we did not use it. You just can’t relax. A simple blind would’ve made all the difference - I don’t know why you wouldn’t have one - there were blinds in the other windows. Seems an odd decision. Other downside was lack of kitchen equipment. No whisk, no jug and no simple flat baking tray and no oven gloves. Could use the tea towel but not when wet. Aside from that, a perfect stay and we would most certainly come back. Thank you for having us.

Our holiday at Muse did not start well as I had trouble contacting by phone on many occasion and as we were travelling we were informed that there had been a leek above one of the bathrooms and would be informed of the progress and whether we needed access to another apartment. When we arrived the leek had been fixed and the apartment looked lovely. Layout was good, decor was lovely and the garden big and just what we needed. However, there were a few niggly points that did affect our stay. The leek was fixed but we had to.wipe a wet and dirty floor when we arrived. The same bathroom had no where to hang a towel, not a single hook, rail or piece of furniture. The bath/shower was great to get in but the step down was high and there wasn’t anything to hold to support the step down. The mirror and sink area was dark and the window above the toilet was not opaque and didn’t have a blind. There was a high fence but it was possible to see in. The en-suite bed had a very low hanging clothes rail which was not suitable for even a short dress to hang and there were no drawers which meant living out of a suitcase. The bathroom here has a small sink where the tap was short, which meant turning it on a bit flooded the back of the sink and turning on too much just bounced out. Again this bathroom was lacking a place to hang a towel. Someone came into the garden early each morning and didn’t shut the gate properly on one occasion. We had a dog with us and glad we saw it as he could have nosed out of it. There were also roll up butts around the the outside table and the table needed a wipe down, as did the cushioned seating which was full of leaves and cobwebs. We did enjoy our holiday but felt it did not live up to the gold standard displayed.

The Opera Suite

Although the accommodation was luxurious and beautiful we had real issues. The heating controls were awful and the heaters kept switching off, my mum who is 89 was freezing for most of the time. She is also quite small so the beds being so high was an issue and she found it difficult getting in and out during the night. Because it was so cold I could not make use of the bath which I had looked forward to. The gravel front drive was difficult for mum - who needs to use a rollater. It feels wrong to be so critical considering how absolutely lovely the surroundings are, but we would not come again unless in summer and not with a disabled mum.
