There is so much do and see locally. Explore the famous Norfolk Broads National Park on foot or by boat, and the amazing coastline, with wide sandy beaches backed by dunes. Or should you prefer, just simply sit back and relax whilst enjoying the large Norfolk skies. The village has a friendly local pub, serving great food, and a small shop. Also with its own river staithe, linking to the wonderful Barton Broad. The surrounding area is a great place for a walk or a cycle ride and head for the Barton Boardwalk, allowing foot access to view Barton Broad or Alderfen Broad nature reserve. Or why not visit Wroxham, 11 minutes’ drive, known as capital of the Norfolk Broads and home to the ‘world’s largest village store’? You can also find the train station for the Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway here, too.
A few minutes away is BeWILDerwood, a magical tree top park which promises children a day to remember. The seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 19 miles, offers family fun with its famous pleasure beach, fun fair and amusements. The Pleasurewood Hills theme park at Lowestoft is 28 miles away, while Cromer, 18 miles, offers traditional seaside entertainment including a renowned end of pier show, Amazonia zoo, shops, restaurants and cafés. The medieval city of Norwich, 12 miles, has a magnificent cathedral, castle, galleries, museums, cinemas, theatres, excellent shopping, cafés and restaurants. The north Norfolk coastline has RSPB reserves, coastal path and many picturesque villages which boast pubs and restaurants serving superb locally caught seafood. There are seal watching boat trips from Blakeney Quay, 30 miles, and Morston Quay, 31 miles, while historic Holt is 25 miles away for shops, café, restaurants and Holt Lowes countryside park and trails.
