Laukapu Forest Cottage (LFC) est un studio spacieux, maison de location de vacances fabriquée à la main comme un "travail de coeur".
LFC dispose d'une cuisine bien équipée, avec réfrigérateur / congélateur, four électrique / four, micro-ondes, grille-pain, fournitures pour café et thé. LFC a une salle de bain privée, avec une douche carrelée.
Regardez la télévision par câble ou connectez-vous au téléviseur LCD intelligent. Il y a un téléphone pour les appels locaux. Il y a un wifi haut débit.
Le porche «arrière-avant» est abordé à partir de la «promenade des 1000 peaces» couverte de 70 pieds.

A truly memorable, magical place. Well equipped with everything we needed. The heated bed was an especially nice touch. Really appreciated the incredibly thorough, detailed information about the area provided ahead of our stay. Perfect base for exploring Volcanoes NP. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a wonderful stay. The home is beautifully built, well maintained and we felt right at home. The host gave so many great recommendations and showed how much she cared from our arrival to departure. We highly recommend this home and stay in Volcano being so close to Kīlauea was great. We loved being in the quiet mountains and enjoyed our time around the home with peaceful outdoor space as well. We hope to return again one day!

Convenient and charming cottage

This cottage did not disappoint. It looked even prettier in person. It was well stocked and super convenient to Volcanoes National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others.

Beautiful cabin in the rainforest

We had a lovely time staying at LFC. Kathryn is a great and communicative host. Be prepared to get the best sleep of your life with the rain drops falling on the roof.

This is a special place

The cottage is a large studio apartment in the jungle of the town of Volcano. It’s only 5 minutes from the entrance to Volcano NP. The cottage has special craftsman construction. There is a full kitchen, a dining nook, and a comfortable king bed. Catherine is helpful, available, and welcoming. I would stay here again!

I’d give 6 stars if I could!

This is an absolutely adorable cabin nestled in the woods. From the covered wooden walkway to the perfectly appointed and well stocked cozy cabin itself, we were ecstatic. The owners live next door and are the most wonderful people I’ve encountered. Communication could not be better. Everything from silverware to bedding to electronics are top notch. And the location, 5 minutes from the national park entrance is fantastic. Thank you Kathryn!

Lovely Hideaway

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage. The hosts were communicative and took care of everything we needed. The space is well-stocked, and it was lovely getting to listen to a thunderstorm while we were happy and dry inside. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting VNP!

Beautiful spot in the jungle

beautifully built place in Volcano giving access to the town, the park and then nearby to black sand beaches, coffee, Hilo, etc the setting is in the forest with a beautifully built building that is quiet and peaceful. Host interactions are top notch and super friendly and informative.

Tropical Storm Hone

Just our luck to be stuck here during Tropical Storm Hone. This property is a jewel. With 11" inches of rain the first night it kept us safe and warm. Kathryn and Kenneth have put a lot of detail into this cottage. They're great hosts. Thanks for the stay. John and Serena.

Forest Cottage

Easy check-in, lots of communication with the host. This was exactly as I expected it to be. It was a peaceful stay in a beautifully crafted cottage. To us it felt like “glamping” with a small kitchen and washer and dryer. We slept very well with the nature sounds all around us. If we ever came back to the big island. I would definitely stay again. Thai made our day at the volcano national park very easy and convenient.

We wanted to stay close to the volcano on the Big Island. We found this property and decided to stay here. The host is very accommodating and has a wealth of information to share about the island. She is very pleasant and responsive. We would stay here again.

Beautiful Cabin with lots of amenities!

This was the most gorgeous cabin! Lots of natural light with many, many windows and skylights. The cabin was filled with everything you could possibly need including sunscreen, toiletries, condiments, ice, and lots of extras! Also the hostess is the nicest lady! Highly recommend!

Architectural delight in a rain forest

What a wonderful and unusual experience. The cottage is perfect. It was built by the owner and the design and attention to detail is amazing. It has everything you could possibly want for your stay including great coffee and breakfast items all you need is milk. The host who lives next door meets you at the cottage and is a delight to talk to and get tips for your stay. This cottage is in a rain forest and it does rain pretty much all of the time. But only at the cottage when you take the 5 min drive to the village it was dry. Great location for visiting Volcano National Park we also played golf near by and visited a winery and Orchid store nearby. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to visit the area.

Kathryn is a warm and extremely helpful host; she was prompt in her responses to my questions from start to finish, from the booking process through to checkout. The cottage is magical; beautifully built and appointed with everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend Laukapu Forest Cottage!

A little piece of paradise in the rainforest

Wonderful cottage for two wanting to visit Volcanoes National Park. Everything from the charming walkway to the soft and cozy bed was just as described. My husband and I were charmed and informed about all the best eateries and places to see by Kathryn, who was a terrific host. Highly recommended!

Enchanting Jungle Escape

Staying in Laukapu Forest Cottage (LFC) was such a wonderful experience. The cottage is small but incredibly dreamy. You're surrounded by the Hawaiian jungle, pheasants visit the lanai in the mornings, and if you keep your eyes peeled you might spot a boar running around. The owners have been in the vacation rental business for a while and this is evident in their hospitality. It was a truly enchanting experience

Wonderful Cottage

The craftmanship of the cottage is just beautiful! Enjoyed the design and the details of the place, especially the warm bed. This cottage stands out!

We give 5 stars in all aspects of our stay! All info was shared clearly previous to our arrival. by Peggy and Kathryn. We were greeted warmly by Kathryn. She has a great insight on how much involvement guests wish to have with their host. The quality craftmanship of the cottage, its furnishings & exterior walkways just completed in 2017 by Kenneth are seldom seen these days. Everything we needed to be comfortable was at hand. Though it was chilly & rainy for the three days, it just added to the fresh aroma and visiual appeal of the forest while we were warm & cozy inside with a nice selection of DVD music and movies as well as books. Delicious coffee & teas as well as spices & cereals are supplied. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances, utensils, dishes etc. Perishables can be purchased before arrival or at the 2 small groceries just 5 inutes away in Volcano. Kathryn provides plenty of shopping information beforehand. And who can't be wowed with a box of Hawaiian chocolates on arrival! LauKapu Cottage will be our 1st choice on return or recommendation to friends. Mahalo nui loa!
