Aitken House was built around 1920. With high ceilings and large bay windows this property is wonderfully spacious making it the perfect space for family gatherings. Standing proudly in the South Yorkshire village of Millhouse Green, Sheffield, and it is just 2 miles from the Peak District. A haven for comfort and warmth, each of the three floors benefits from full underfloor heating, and all five bedrooms have been beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Aitken House is perfect for socialising with a group of family or friends. Aitken House is not suitable for late night parties or celebrations which may create excessive noise in the house or garden or or result in the property being mistreated. We welcome groups where the majority of guests are over 30.
Great 4 day break, very comfortable and superbly provided house. Location for walks and very friendl
As above, good location, good beds, lots of space. Choice of walks and pubs very local. Visit Yorkshire Sculpture park only 25 mins away so get some culture, exercise and fun in comfortable house
Everyone had a fantastic time. Lovely property, well laid out.
Just missing a cocktail shaker
Catering from Bradleyâs catering was a great addition to our relaxing weekend.
Lovely house, nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great for a friends gathering. The catering option was excellent for our Saturday night meal. Andrew provided delicious meals at very reasonable price. Easy to prepare after a long day walking. Would highly recommend.
A large and immaculate house. Perfect for large family group of various ages. Kitchen room was lovely and great size bedrooms.
We made use of the hot tub a number of times. The games room was very disappointing though.
The local area has a number of attractions and perfect for few days away.
The house and grounds were well looked after, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and seating and general space for the whole family - 10 of us from 2-70 years old. The kitchen is enormous and well equipped. Cooking for ourselves was easy because of the facilities. Bedding and towels were very good quality.
Wentworth Castle is nearby and we called in there on route to the house.
The Trans-Pennine trail provided us with one objective for children on bikes and others on foot. The grounds were safe for the children and the pool table was welcome. The hot tub was spacious and well maintained.
On Easter Sunday we ventured over to Elsecar Heritage Centre where we had a very pleasant time.
