Imagine a ground floor apartment in the city centre inside the walls of Lucca, along Via Fontana, between the main shopping street Via Fillungo and the picturesque square where the Church of San Frediano dominates the plaza with its majestic golden Byzantine Mosaic. Imagine your private outdoor living and dining area and your kitchen inside the shaded greenhouse, imagine an apartment that welcomes you in a grand living room showing original stone columns dating back to 1300s, enjoy luxury interiors fully renovated in early 2023; enjoy a luxury Lucca Apartment inside the walls of Lucca that features WIFI and Air conditioning, enjoy bespoke cafes such as Caffè Santa Zita, wine bars and authentic restaurants just steps away from your door: this is Casa di Lapo.



The rental property is located within the ZTL area (Limited Traffic Area, accessible only by permanent residents and people with special permission) and does not offer on-site parking.



The closest Parking is Mazzini, located in a walking distance from the rental property, so leaving the car there prior reaching the apartment is essential. By following the road signs you will be able to avoid the ZTL area while driving to the parking. We kindly inform all guests that the rental property is self catering so hotel-like services are excluded by law (reception, surveillance of the accommodation, provision of meals and drinks, daily cleaning and linen change, transfers). For such reason any additional service can be provided on request and with the collaboration of external qualified partners and charged accordingly.



If you have a late arrival, make sure to inform us ahead of time. You can experience the flexibility of a late check-in, available until midnight for a surcharge of 50 euros payable in cash upon arrival.

For those enchanted by the allure of Lucca after midnight, a check-in option is also offered with a surcharge of 100 euros.

Bright and Comfortable - Great location

This was a fabulous location with a very nicely curated apartment. It had a bright energy with a great little kitchen. This place was very close to the wall and right around the corner from the grocery store. It was everything we hoped for and highly recommend the property. Additionally, our house manager, Manuel, was very attentive and checked on us several times throughout the month that we were there.

Fantastic apartment and location

This apartment was beautiful and right in the heart of Lucca. I have stayed there many times and the location was the best yet. Despite that it was very quiet with no street noise at all.

We never expect kitchens and bathrooms in Italy to be like the U.S. Knowing that, the kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The showers were quite small but did the job. Washing machine worked great. Just had to plan laundry on sunny days since no dyer. The location was perfect. Quiet yet near to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this place. One minor recommendation I have for owner is a need for hooks. There was no place to hang pajamas or robes. A hook in each bathroom would help.

Would highly recommended!

This place a great! We stayed a little less than a month and had a lovely stay. The house manager was always very responsive and friendly. The location is perfect, it’s right off of the main shopping street and close to all attractions and nice restaurants. We’re looking forward to visiting again. Would highly recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay in this appartment. It served really well as place to rest after visiting the city and the festival. The communication is excellent very kind and proactive. There is a little space outside, but not needed during the heath of the summer!

Very nice stay in beautiful Lucca!

Lovely little apartment just inside the city walls with walking distance everywhere. Nice, clean and well laid out apartment on the ground floor with a very nice courtyard. Manuel received us with a smile and provided a us with a booklet full of local tips. Looking forward to come back.

Had a lovely stay in Lucca. The appartment was fantiastic, however second bedroom was very small yet sufficient for one child. Amazed with how close it was to the city centre and all the amenities but was still quiet in the appartment (no street noise). Decorating was lovely and in character with the style of the city.

Nice apartment

This apartment is very nice. The location is excellent - an easy walk to everything and only 1/2 block to the main shopping street. Also, a bike rental shop is just steps away. We were disappointed that the spin cycle on the washing machine doesn't work very well. Outside space is very small, but this didn't matter as we took a picnic up on the wall. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is on the lower floor which means easy access and no stairs to climb. It is a beautiful apartment with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax. Two en-suite bedrooms makes it easy to get ready in the morning without having to wait for the bathroom. The apartment is right in the middle of all the wonderful things Lucca has to offer. Just around the corner from San Frediano and a little supermarket. Couldn’t be better.

We enjoyed our stay. Manuel was helpful and responsive. The house packet contained all information about the house, & the surrounding area, which was very helpful. The apartment was nice, we just wish it had more windows for air flow. It was close to shops, restaurants and the wall. Quiet at night, good heating. We loved the church bells, and the sounds of the gathering birds in the trees at dusk. Beds were comfortable and so was the living room couch. Great shower pressure. Overall it was a nice stay.

I can't say enough good things about our dealings with Manuel and the team at Lucca Villas and Apartments. My wife and I stayed at the 15 Via Fontana location for 14 days - you simply can't beat the location and the cleanliness and functionality of the space. Communication with LVA was excellent throughout - from the time we booked the place, through checkout, and during out stay. Manuel responded quickly to all messages and was stopped to say hello on the several occasions we ran into each other walking through the streets of Lucca. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again for any travels to the region.

This is the kind of apartment we dream of whenever we look for a place to stay on AirB&B. The apartment was spacious, absolutely quiet, and very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was private and spotless, with abundant hot water. We loved the sunroof in the kitchen. The location was 15 minutesless to walk from every sight we wanted to see within the walls. It was just steps away from several great restaurants and places for morning coffee. The wifi worked beautifully. If we go back to Lucca in the future, we'd seek this apartment again. The apartment was more spacious that the photos made it looka very pleasant surprise.

Would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I spent a month in this apartment. The apartment looks like the pictures. The living room furniture is very nice with an extremely comfortable couch. The master bedroom mattress needs a memory foam topper and needs new pillows although the furnishings are very nice. The kitchen is great. Nice dishes, glasses, silverware. The pots and pans were outstanding. It was lacking in utensils. We had to purchase a spatula, a plastic container and tongs. The washing machine is okay. Took over and hour and half to wash a load. Drying on a clothes rack took forever. Technically it is a ground floor apartment but there is one step up from the street and five more to get into the apartment. Also, inside there are two places with two steps. Outstanding water pressure and on demand hot water. The ad says housekeeping is included but it is not. This apartment is all about location. It could not be better. Only about a half a block off of Via Fillungo. About a five minute walk to the wall. Too many great restaurants to mention within a few minutes walk. Extremely quiet inside the apartment. No street noise. Manual was great and very responsive if we had any issues. The unit has a smart TV so if you have Netflix, Prime, etc you can access your account. Also, the WiFi was excellent. We had no car and were able to walk everywhere. Numerous delis, grocery stores nearby. Air conditioners in the bedroom and living room and they worked great.
