Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place tucked behind Islingtonâs Upper Street, in the former studio of award winning chef, Jamie Oliver.
The property is a stunning 3 bedroom house moments away from Highbury & Islington Station.
Guest Access: Accommodation starts from the First Floor of the property, with a private entrance and staircase leading to the bedrooms and kitchen/living area.
We were a family of around 4 adults and 2 teenagers staying at Rish's place in Islington. The place was amazing, and the location was fantastic. Loads of natural light, and well equipped. Easy instructions to get into the house, and a very responsive host.
The location is right next to the Highbury and Islington station, as well as some great food and drink options close by. It made some of us want to consider moving to Islington as a neighborhood :)
Thanks Rish!
This property was PERFECT for our stay in London. It is bright, comfortable and plenty room for our group. Rish was an absolute delight and provided many helpful recommendations for our trip. The location. Is super convenient to many sights, restaurants and transportation. We are DEFINITELY going to book again.
The property is exactly as listed. It is so very conveniently located near the train, restaurants and stores. Rish is a terrific host. He is most communicative and helpful. I would strongly recommend his property and would definitely stay here again.
Itâs hard to know where to start with this review. Rish was amazing and super responsive. I always tend to feel a little disappointed when using short term rentals but this was one of those rare times where the apartment exceeded expectations. The layout is great, the apartment was clean and well appointed, and the location to the subway and shops was super convenient. If Rish will have us back, we would definitely stay here again. Fantastic stay for us and our family and friends.
Perfect Home Base - Great Property in Great Location
Stayed for 4 nights in October 2024. There were 3 adults and 2 11-year-old kids and the space was perfect for us. A father and son were in each of the 1st floor bedrooms and a lone adult in the loft space above the living room/kitchen.
Check-in was very easy with Rish providing all the info ahead of time and letting us check-in anytime we liked once the property was ready. Check-out was just as easy.
Rish, our host, was great â always responsive and never intrusive. We were even lucky enough to bump into him in the street for a quick and cheery hello.
The property was just as advertised, and the pictures are all accurate. Every room was very clean and had everything we needed like plenty of towels for more than 5 people and a fully stocked kitchen. It was just what we needed as a home base and comfortable place to chill for a midday break or after a long day. The living room and open kitchen was a great place to hang out whether for some late night TV or cards or whatever. The bedrooms were all comfortable. The loft was a good spot, but small with a low ceiling and best for someone who has no problem getting up and down from the bed which is on the floor.
The location is great with the tube, overground, and train all just a 2-minute walk away. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within an easy walk. Best of all for us, Arsenal is just a 15-minute walk up the road.
We were all extremely happy with the property and all agreed to recommend it highly!
This was fantastic property. A 2 minute walk from the Highbury and Islington Tube station, less than 10 minutes to several bakeries, markets, coffee shops and dozens of restaurants. 1 tube stop from Kings Cross. Outside of the "ritzy" tourist London environment just enough to be more livable and provide a true flavor of a local neighborhood. Located on a narrow alley just behind the high-street shops. Lots of delivery drivers around (fast food locations are in the area) and we felt safe at all hours of the day or night. It gets a bit loud at night on the weekend, there is a popular pub quite close by.
The house is on 3-levels with a bright living area on the second floor. 2 large bedrooms on the first level (actually the second up from the street) one with ensuite with tub/shower. A hall bath on this floor has a good shower stall. The spiral staircase on the main level leads up to a cozy divided bedroom loft which has huge openable skylights and it's own balcony. The disadvantage to this space is that the closest bathroom is 2 levels down.
The furnishings are simple, clean and modern. No air-con but we found that by opening up the massive skylights, that enough convection air moved through to make sleeping tolerable even on a couple London's (now normal) hot evenings.
The host (Rish) was great, accessible and responsive via WhatsApp. Highly recommend!
