This was a nice peaceful relaxing place. So close to the beach, literally across the street. It was great to start our morning sunrise walks. Close to everything. Only 15 min walking to the main town. Will def come back
Great Kailua getaway - the spirit of Aloha is alive
Misty (property manager) and Joan (owner) were gracious and welcoming. They accommodated our special requests.
We really enjoyed use of the beach chairs and towels, as well as bbq, refrigerator, rice cooker, and other convenience items.
Highly recommended.
The location of the property is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You fall asleep to the sounds of the waves right outside your door. The place is cute and great for a couple to get lost in Kailua.
Wonderful, cozy place for a romantic stay. Great location steps from an amazing beach and great little market. A small yard to sit and read. Very comfortable bed too. Hope to go back there soon.
Great location. Friendly landlord. The studio is built for Hawaii, with high louvred windows all around to catch the breezes. Great shower, great patio. Can't wait to go back.
My 19 nights in the Monet suite were just superb. It was perfect for me - equipped with everything youâll need and nothing you wonât. Iâd stay again in a heartbeat. The beach was an easy 170-steps stroll from door to sand. The yard was like fairway grass, perfect for practice chipping golf balls. Kalapawai Market is right around the corner - their macadamia blend coffee is Aloha in a cup. The powdery soft white sand and the luke warm crystal blue water of Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach is unforgettable. Only wish I couldâve stayed even longer.
Special shout out to Misty for all her excellent communication and to the property owners for helping me when my moped wouldnât start - Mahalo :-)
This rental is so close to the best beach, in a cute town with plenty of good dining and services. We walked to the beach at sunrise every day, took advantage of the nicely provided beach chairs and towels, used the convenient laundry facilities, bought food at the market for a relaxing breakfast in our room each day. We would definitely stay here again, very comfortable and convenient.
Just a few steps to the beautiful Kailua Beach this property has the best location. The owner was lovely and chatted with us on a few occassions. The bed was very comfortable and with the open windows we could fall asleep listening to the ocean waves! The pool was delicious on those hot afternoons when we needed a cool dip and the yard with the sitting area was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee and listen to the birds sing. We were very pleased with everything and the property manager went above and beyond for us giving us a late checkout at the last minute!
Comfy bed, great yard, wonderful location with a short walk to a beautiful beach. My suggestions for making it top notch would be to install an outdoor foot washing faucet that could double as a place to fill the dish washing bins. And providing more paper plates.
Far exceeded representation, felt like we were nestled in Seventh Heaven. Best month in our lives.
Monet's Cottage feels as tranquil as the pictures portray. The lush yard and sheltered Lanai for eating, cooking and kicking back were more beautiful and peaceful then represented. Two sliding glass doors connected you with your environment and allowed the gentle breezes and sounds of the ocean to flow through. The first month here of a two month sabbatical spoiled us for the rest of the trip. Kailua beach, a mere 2 minute walk, is the most beautiful beach on the island. Great for long walks, easy swimming or just soaking up the incredible beauty. We passed over this destination several times due to length of stay and lack of "kitchen". Small refrigerator and no stove or sink for dishwashing. This hassle factor became endearing. bought an extra dishpan and did the dishes on the table outside soaking up the environment. BBQ grill was great and we ate fresher, healthier meals OUTSIDE, awesome! Kailua has fabulous breakfast places, try them all. Swimming pool also exactly as beautiful as pictured and was
refreshingly cool. Super spoiled by the foot washing station and the outdoor hot shower for washing after beach adventures. An added bonus was watching 30 kite surfers fill the horizon with billowing color.
THE MOST CHALLENGING part of this truly spectacular vacation was having to leave. Any expressed need was immediately taken care of by Misty(you rock) and the thoughtful owner. We want to come back
again and again. What a blessing!!!!
Comfy bed. Quiet property. We've probably rented 10 properties in Kailua over the years, visiting our family. This was the first time we had never been greeted or shown around. ALWAYS have had fresh fruit, bottled water, some staples in the kitchenette (salt and pepper, etc) maybe a bottle of wine...a note from the owner. Here we had a box of chocolate and coffee enough for two days....no human contact other than by text/phone. As noted before, the kitchenette has no sink so washing dishes in the tiny bathroom sink was impractical so we gave up. The bathroom was tiny. The pool looked lovely BUT to get to it, you have to walk through the owners backyard, and into what looks to be their private lanai. We just didn't feel comfortable essentially crashing their backyard (they were home) without come communication with them. If you want a clean hotel room sized place in Kailua, this works.
Great place but no help from owner/manager when we needed it.
First of all, the place is fantastic. Perfect size for 2 people and in my opinion, located in the best place to stay on the island. Everything was clean and well taken care of. BUT... when we arrived, we found that the key left in the room did not fit the door. It didnât seem to fit like it was the correct key, but even when it was forced in, the lock would not turn. We notified Misty (who is the manager, not the owner and is not on the property), and she informed us that it was the correct key but could be a bad copy. We asked to have another copy brought by and this was never acted upon. The owners either werenât on site or did not care enough to take action to make this right. We actually never saw anyone associated with the property during our entire stay (which is completely fine until you need something). Given we were hiking in public places, we obviously didnât want to leave valuables in our car, so we left the TV on and hid things within the unit and made the best of the situation. We were not able to lock the doors during our entire stay. Again, the place is great and couldnât be in a better location. I hate to leave a negative review, but we were thoroughly disappointed in the management.
We loved our stay at Kuulei Tract! The room was simple w/ bed, a couple of lounge chairs, dining table for 2, and kitchenette for making coffee and reheating leftovers. The market, a block away, filled in breakfast bagel/sandwich/snack/beer needs. It was a quick, easy walk to the beach. We made coffee and walked down to watch the sun rise each morning - highly recommend this!
From Kailua, we drove north one day to the North Shore, saw surfers in the Pipeline, SUP'd in Turtle Bay with the turtles (awesome!!!), and ate at Giovanni's Shrimp Shack. Another day, we rented sea kayacks from around the corner at Kailua Beach Adventures. We paddled out to the Mokes for lunch. We ate dinner at Buzz's Steakhouse a couple of nights. It was an easy walk from the room and filled with both visitors and locals. We ate from the fish menu, which was absolutely delish! Great salad bar!!
We loved our week at Kuulei Tract. It was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again and hope to do so soon!
Maholo!
SO close to the beach, and what a beautiful beach! The pool is also very refreshing and quiet and serene. Room was perfect for us with a lovely outdoor space and a smallish kitchenette which worked great for our breakfasts. Hosts were helpful.
The property is very charming and in a 3 minute walk via private entrance to Kailua beach. The studio was the perfect size for my husband and I. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and only three fans to keep cool in the room. It was pretty humid the days were there so it became a little uncomfortable. Overall it was a good place to stay and we enjoyed our time.
The Monet room was lovely, light and beautiful and I felt so at home and at peace
I would love to have stayed longer and would have if it had not already been booked. I would like to know when it would be available again as I would love to stay for another 2 weeks which went by so quickly.
