Gratton House is a five-bedroom holiday home set within a stunning rural location at the end of its own long drive with far-reaching views across the fields. Although in a rural location, œ mile out of the small village of Whitestone, the cathedral and university city of Exeter is a little over 4 miles away and Dartmoor National Park is just 5 miles to the west.
The house feels bright, and homely with spectacular views; the perfect place in which to spend time with your family and friends. As you head inside, you will instantly be impressed by the ornate granite staircase in the entrance area. The large living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, and two sets of bi-fold doors opening out onto a decked terrace with a glass balustrade. For added warmth during the winter, there is an inset Stovax wood burner which uses the latest high-efficiency, clean burn combustion technology. The kitchen with its beautiful granite worktops is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal and thereâs also a handy utility room next door. Double doors from the kitchen and dining room open out into the pretty courtyard garden which is the perfect sheltered spot for enjoying your morning coffee. The ground floor is completed with a double bedroom, downstairs toilet, and a combined gym/games room with treadmill and sit-up bench. Head upstairs to discover the remaining four bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom showcases an en-suite bathroom and a large private balcony of its own with magnificent views. Two of the other bedrooms each have an en-suite toilet with a wash basin and then there is another double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
The wonderful one-acre garden offers plenty to explore with the large lawn, patio area, terraces, and an apple orchard.
Pets must be kept on a lead at all times.
EV Charger (tethered Type 2, Andersen A2 7kw)
This charger is free to use by the guests and is set to work between 11:30pm and 5:30am every night giving you 6 x 7= 42kwh of charge completely free. You can plug in your car at any time and charging will automatically start from 11:30pm provided that your EV and EV app settings are correct.
