Misleading Listing â Unclean, Unsafe, and Poorly Managed
This property did not match what was advertised and fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were met with a strong, stale odor, signaling the home had not been properly cleaned or aired out. Cobwebs were visible throughout, and most disturbing was finding long black hairs in the bed linens. We ended up buying our own cleaning supplies and air fresheners just to feel somewhat comfortable.We contacted the property management, and while they offered to send a cleaning crew, we had already done the cleaning ourselvesâmaking the offer too little, too late.There are serious safety concerns, especially for older guests. The bathrooms lack nonslip features, and a bamboo steps in each bathroom is a clear tripping/slipping hazard. This is unacceptable for any home, let alone one advertised for families.Basic functionality was also a problem. There were no instructions for key utilities like the heating system, dishwasher, washer, or TV. For a short-term rental, thatâs a major oversight.Finally, the kitchen is severely understockedânowhere near adequate for a home that claims to sleep 7 guests.Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. We expected a well-prepared, guest-ready home and got the opposite. I would not recommend this property until major improvements are made.
