This has got to be one of the best locations in France for a family holiday. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from a superb beach and overlooks a beautiful lagoon, with the Pyrenees and Mt Canigou in the near distance. There is something for everyone to do in the close vicinity from the bustling port of St Cyprien to the famous abbey at Elne. Visits to nearby Collioure and Port Vendres are highly recommended whilst there is plenty of fun for all at Aqualand (walking distance), the adventure park at Argeles, go -karting and horse riding. Further afield, a visit to Dali's museum in Figueres, Spain is inspiring, as are the Cathar castles to the north west of Perpignan. The abbeys of St Michel's de Cuxa and St Martin's of the Canigou in the Tet valley are set against the backdrop of the Pyrenees and the whole area is vibrant with Catalan colour, culture and food. Visit the many local markets, especially Ceret on a Saturday morning and enjoy the many wine-tasting opportunities.
This apartment is perfectly situated for a the beach with a superb view over a lagoon which is west facing so really lovely at sunset! It is close enough to the main town of Saint Cyprien sur Plage to walk in and enjoy the fun but is far enough away to be much quieter! Having access to the swimming pool in the sister block is a real bonus, especially when visiting with kids.
The owners are very helpful and have provided a useful folder with key information about the apartment and things to see and do nearby.
We had a truly wonderful stay and really enjoyed the area and its surroundings!
Excellent location near to the lovely beach at st cyprien use of pool a t complex a real bonus good views of the marina appartment big enough for a family of 5
I've had the pleasure of staying in each of these two apartments.
5 mins walk to the local bakery for croissant in the morning, then even less of a walk to the beach.
Hire a car and have quick access to local towns, shopping and culture aplenty! Adventure activities too, for those inclined that way!
Great to sit and relax on the balcony enjoying fresh local food with a glass of chilled local white wine, as the sun sets over the lagoon.
Or enjoy a walk in to St Cyprien itself to enjoy local restaurants.
Great times all round. Highly recommended for relaxation, seeing some lovely parts of the world and getting a bit active occasionally too!
Apartments were well looked after and prepared immaculately for our stays.
Absolutely beautiful holiday. I spent a week here last summer having stayed here every year for the last 3 years. I travel a lot but this place always draws me back. This place is for those who truly want to relax and get away from things. I spent evenings reading my book drinking fine wine and watching the sunset over the lagoon. The beach is spectacular and sea stunning. This isn't for the sort of place for people who like tourist package holidays with kebab and chips near by with people hassling you to buy souvenirs. It's class. There are restaurants within walking distance including a Michelin star. The town is a 10min walk or you can catch the small train but I find myself rarely going as there is so much around / other villages to drive and see such as Elne and the beautiful cathedral.
Nearby is go karting, horse riding, white water rafting, water park, walks in the Pyrenees. I take the boat too Collioure for the day and sit a a restaurant in the small harbour drinking sangria and listening to musicians. It is a bustling place then I return to the tranquility here. It has the right mixture of easy to get up and go or just relax. If my wider family come we spend evenings playing rounders / football on the beach. It really caters for all ages
The beach is vast with a good beach bar / restaurant with stunning views and behind you are the mountains. I find the apartments well contained with influences from the Catalan art on the walls. I've had many lovely evenings eating on the balcony. Look forward to my next visit!
My wife and I booked 2 apartments from the owner and had a wonderful time. We were joined by our family so had a cross section of ages (young children to grandparents) and we all enjoyed the accommodation and surroundings area.
The apartments were as described and were the perfect base. They are clean, well furnished and spacious enough for a 2 week stay (particularly apartment A03). We were particularly pleased that the kitchens had a full range of utensils etc so that we could cook on an evening (several places we have previously stayed did not provide enough).
The views from the balcony are stunning and are perfect for al fresco dining and evening drinks. The balcony accommodated all of us who were staying in both apartments, which was perfect.
The local beach is only a 2 min walk and is stunning. Huge and very clean. The beach bar is well worth a visit too.
The owner of the apartments was very helpful throughout the booking process and picking up the keys was quick and easy.
We will all be back lovely St Cyprien!
OK gin and tonic on the terrace, watching the sun go down over a sparkling lagoon is about as good as life gets. To the right are the sparkling lights of St Cyprien and ahead the brooding massive Mt Canigou.
Great modern apartment, providing a great place to explore from or just chill on a classic Med beach
We arrived on 9/8/14 and were so disappointed with the apartment. It is tired-looking and not particularly inviting. The bathroom and separate toilet are shabby with both fans not functioning. The sofa-bed has no sheets, only duvets and pillows which have yellow stains. We immediately tried to contact the owner but had no response. Quite a coincidence really! There is only one restaurant on the beach. The rest are about 2.5 miles away - not within walking distance with children. There are no watersports except jet-bikes. There is also a yappy dog underneath the apartment which barks morning, noon and night. The swimming- pool across the road has no sun-loungers so you have to lie on the concrete.
Would definitely not return or recommend.
The listing description is certainly not correct and the owner did not provide any customer service.

I am an avid francophile and love this area with its proud Catalan heritage. The mountains and the sea have always been a big pull for me and here we have the magnificent Canigou in the background and the gorgeous Mediterranean. I have hiked up the Canigou many times. You get a 4x4 taxi jeep which takes you up the the refuge, Cortalets. From there it is about 2/3 hours to the summit. Don't rush, take in the views. Collioure, Port Vendres, Banylus, Ceret, are favourite destinations and I really recommend the Dali Museum in Figueres, over the border. I love exploring the many beautiful abbeys in the region but if you were to ask my family, they would say 'get on that beach'!
This apartment is ideally suited for the beautiful beach and, with its superb views of the lagoon, the terrace is the perfect place to relax after a day out. It also works for a larger group as by booking together with Les Sables 1, which is located on the above floor, you have the possibility of two families holidaying together but maintaining some private family time.
