Holiday in St Cyprien
The complex is very easy to find and had secure parking. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and an excellent base for discovering the local area.
The complex is excellent with a variety of shops for fresh food and the majority of grocery needs. The 3 restaurants are very good as are the 2 pizza outlets and all at a genuine 2 minute walk.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Beautiful apartment!
Apartment is lovely and comfortable and is spotlessly clean.
It is in a great location looking out to the marina. I enjoyed sitting in the morning with my breakfast and watching the boats come and go.
The air conditioning was very efficient and the seats and the beds were very comfortable.
The pool was great too and never too busy. The complex is also very clean.
We will definitely visit this apartment again, we all had a fantastic holiday. St Cyprien is beautiful. Thank you again Suzanne!!.

High Quality Apartment
We stayed at this apartment for four weeks over New Year and found it to be excellent. It is the second time we have used this particular apartment, but we have stayed in the complex several times. This is by far the best equipped, and is decorated to a very high standard.
Since our first visit we were pleased that they have now fitted a reverse cycle heating / air conditioning system, as in summer it gets very warm. In December/January that is not so much of a problem, however the same system kept us nice and warm!
The apartment overlooks a quayside, and nothing can beat sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the activity. Even in January some afternoons reached 20 degrees, and the nearby resorts of Argeles-sur-Mer and St Cyprien Plage were still quite busy, especially over the weekends.
Our break was mainly to chill, and enjoy some time on our own. All-in-all it was a very pleasant holiday.
We booked directly with the owner, who we have found to be extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. With my wife being disabled we always have to double check that things are accessible, and Suzanne made sure that everything was ready for our arrival.
The information pack we received shortly before our stay gave us some very useful information, and we had no problems whatsoever with the booking and payment process.
We will definitely be visiting again, and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

L'appartement est conforme à la description et est très bien équipé. Il donne directement sur la Marina avec quelques commerces à côté et à une vingtaine de minutes à pied de la plage. La communication avec la propriétaire s'est très bien passé. Ma famille a passé un très bon séjour et nous recommandons l'appartement avec plaisir !

Appartement tout confort et bien équipé, proche de tout (commerces, plage, etc), sans oublié ce grand avantage de la piscine dans la résidence.

Ein sehr gut ausgestattetes Appartement, die Küche ist sehr gut bestückt und wir haben uns wohlgefüh
Es ist alles gut organisiert und das Appartement barrierefrei, jedoch ist das Bad mit Dusche zum pflegen etwas klein. Dafür hat die Küche alles zu bieten was man braucht. es ist gut aufgeteilt und gut ausgestattet es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Die Beschriftungen empfehle ich in Computerschrift zu schreiben, wir hatten bei dem WLAN Pin Schwierigkeiten die Handschrift richtig zu lesen. wir hatten einen wunderbaren , unvergesslichen Urlaub.

Brilliant
Weve stayed here a number of years and it never disappoints. The apartment is well equipped; well situated and has a homely feel.
The pool isn't overly warm but once your in, it's ok and it wasn't too busy either.
The weather wasn't great so we used the train from Argeles quite a few times which is a short drive.
We have already booked for next year!

Fabulous apartment
This is a beautiful apartment in a secure complex in a quiet area with plenty of amenities nearby, including a Sports Centre and fabulous gardens complete with peacocks. The apartment is very well stocked with everything you could ever need, and very homely, with lovely pictures, vases, candle holders etc. You can chill out on either of the balconies, one facing onto the Marina. It was always a joy to look out over the boats, and an instant relaxer. The sofa, chairs and bed were really comfortable, with plenty of pillows, cushions etc. Usefully there is a dishwasher and washing machine within the apartment. Both showers, in the shower room and over the bath, were pretty powerful. Suzanne herself was really helpful and easy to approach. Nothing was too much trouble. I loved staying in her very beautiful apartment and can thoroughly recommend it. Thank you ever so much Suzanne.

Summer sun
Excellent well equipped apartment with the benefit of two bathrooms and two balconies. Great view over the marina and short walk to a range of shops/restaurants.
The pool was quiet during our stay though a second key would have been useful if we didn't all go down at once.
Both the beach and main harbour were in walking distance taking around 20minutes
Ideally located for trips along the coast and into the hills.

Fully Equpied and Excellent locale
As advertised, clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. Close to shops, restaurants and only 10 mins walk from the beach. The pool is clean and "refreshingly" cool. St Cyprien is an ideal location for exploring the Franco-Spanish coast and in September, quiet and easy to navigate. Suzanne was most helpful all through the process and guided a newbie with patience and good humour.

Well equipped appartment
This is our 4th stay in this gated complex, 1st time in this appartment but it has been the best equipped by a mile. It has everything that you could possibly need.
We usually fly to Perpignan so we opted for linen and towels which worked perfectly. And there was more than enough to go round for 4 adults
Commercial centre is great; perfect for trying out your french and a couple of fab restaurants.
It was probably our 19th time visiting the area and we totally echo the other reviews. If you are looking for adventure; culture or a quiet break you will find something to suit everyone.
Finally, Suzanne is very helpful; quick at responding and takes very good care of her appartment

Sun, Sea, relax and fun
This is a superb location for exploring the world of the Pyrenees Orientales and the Pays Catalan, north and south of the border. It is a different world to the other areas of France. Catalan is spoken here.
We were able to walk to the beach through the Capellans residence and it took about 18 mins total with all the beach kit. We met up with a friend and we had a lovely meal at the beach restaurant.
The apartment is lovely and cool in the hot summer months. A nice cross breeze in the apartment, so no need for the drone of the A/C and plenty of up to date appliances and new TV, DVD so it was nice to stay in and have a lovely meal. We went often to the Centre Commercial to buy one of the freshly made dishes of the day to eat these at home with some nice wine and dessert. I went to the hairdressers, English speakers, to have a nice cut and colour in a relaxed atmosphere. We also went to have the spa treatment at the Ile de la Lagune Hotel - 5 stars- and sit and watch the lagoon while having a cocktail in the garden. Heaven
The apartment has two -standard size for this area- bedrooms with very comfortable beds, memory foam type. There is plenty of water and good quality showers. There are lovely plants on the balconies and it is so relaxing to sit and watch the world go by - that is the boats and the comings and goings of the little ferry. It is evident the owner takes great pride and care of this apartment. I understand that it is very cherished as a 'hideaway' for all the owner's family to come and stay so we were keen to take care of it. We also went down for a two day trip to Girona (where there are many Michelin starred restaurants and concerts) which was easy and then we visited some of the coves and medieval towns in the region to the south east of Girona. All so spectacular and easy to do. We love the museums of the area and particularly Collioure and the walks that are mapped to follow the route to the spots that the early Fauvist painters used to paint the area. Good weather mostly, some windy days, no clouds, so we headed to the bays on these days.
Will definitely come again and felt very much 'taken care of' by the generous owner.
Definitely recommended for peaceful getaways.

Nice apartment, but oversold
Two couples booked this place as a base for exploring. We arrived early May - 2nd or so - and the place was so cold! There was a portable convection heater which we turned on immediately and there were wall heaters which we tried but didn't work. The reverse cycle air con couldn't be turned on as it had a lock on the switch! I contacted the owner and was told if I paid another 30 or so Euros, we could turn on the heating!! How tight-fisted is that? We put up with the cold.
The apartment was OK but the beds were small and uncomfortable and the extra I paid for more linen didn't work out, so we had to do laundry.
This place is advertised as suitable for 6 , but it had trouble coping with 4 and there were not enough sheets and towels in spite of paying extra.
The location was good, but I do like comfortable beds and this place doesn't have them. And I like to be warm and wasn't. Those are the reasons I wouldn't stay there again.

We are sorry to hear that you were less than perfectly satisfied with your stay with us.
We have a long history of happy and contented guests here, so are very disappointed that you felt the service to be lacking.
We were surprised to hear that you were cold - as in previous correspondence you had confirmed that “the apartment is quite warm enough.” In fact the apartment is equipped with 6 radiators/'eco' which do work, though not at high temperatures, such as those you experienced during your stay (24-28C). We are very sorry for your misunderstanding with regard to the climatisation heater. As explained to you at the time, this had been disconnected by the heating engineer as it needed a thorough service and re-positioning before the summer season. These machines get a lot of sand build up being near to the beach and winds. Therefore, it would have required a 'special' visit from the engineer, who would charge an extra call out fee, to re-connect it all again before the impending annual service. (NB- for other guests reading this, this was indeed carried out in time to be operational as an a/c for the hot summer)
We do not include charges for incidentals such as heating and extra laundry in our flat rental rate, as this allows us to pass on savings for these items to our guests. Also since it is rare to need heating during the summer season in this area. Indeed, you will find that even top-end hotels charge for these things - they are factored into the room rate.
Despite this, we do provide a "complimentary" 2nd set of sheets (p/p) for no extra charge, as a courtesy to guests, such as you indeed were given, who stay an extended time.
We are proud of the fact that our beds are all equipped with memory-foam mattress toppers for our guests extra comfort, with the added option of firm or soft for the double.
The apartment is one of the largest in the area and the bed sizes are all French standard. This may not be what North Americans are used to.

Wonderful property and helpful owner
This is the third year that I have rented this property and I would hope to return again in the future. The views over the marina and the distant snow capped Canigou are delightful, and with the property being set well back from the road it is also peaceful and relaxing.
Tha apartment itself is well equipped and presented with a comfortable lounge and dining area as well as a newly refurbished and upgraded kitchen area. The bedrooms are pleasant and the separate bathroom and shower room are helpful to a family group.
Everything was clean and the linen freshly laundered making the apartment welcoming from the moment one walked in the door.
I cannot speak highly enough of the way the owner makes a prompt reponse to queries. She is extemely helpful and is reachable by e-mail or phone if any problems arise (they never have but the facility is there). There has never been any problem with transferring money to the owners bank account and there is always a prompt return of the damage deposit. The detailed list of facilities within the area that the owner has left on site are very helpful and informative. The way that guests are treated is of great credit to the owner and a reason why I will make a return visit.
As a person that likes the outdoors I took the opportunity to explore new walking routes on my last visit. The very helpful Tourist Information Office in Ceret gave me a great deal of information of walks in the Vallespir, many of these are well worth exploring and range from easy to difficult giving much choice. With the Spanish border a 20 minute drive away there was also the opportunity to visit Aguamolls Nature Park which is a great family day out with a great variety of birdlife on view
I have mentioned the good restaurants in Elne, but on my last trip I discovered the new seafood restaurant in Port Vendres. This really was a find, and can be found by walking around the far side of the port near the boatyards. For seafood lovers this place is highly recommended. For those who like the seaside the nearby beaches are clean but I would advise getting there early as they are very popular during the summer months. There are several attractions for children in the area which I have not visited and there are also cinemas in Argeles, Elne and Perpignan, often showing films in english.
This is a lovely property in a great location, it is great for the beach, sightseeing and nature with many fine eating places a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Faultless, spotless and very comfy
You know when you rent a holiday apartment, there's always something that's wrong with it? Well this is the exception. It is quiet, peaceful, safe and secure (important for families), with delightful views over the marina, and easily accessible. We found everything we could possibly want, wonderful views, the most fabulously comfy beds (we really needed to sleep after a chaotic year), extremely well kitted out kitchen, TV with DVD player, lovely bathrooms (there are two!), and a washing machine and dishwasher, and they all worked - heaven! St Cyprien, although a rather sprawling holiday village, is a brilliant base for exploring this part of the Languedoc, with so much to see a week is not nearly enough, from the beautiful Pyrenees, to mountain villages, to seaside towns, stunning abbeys and priories, fortified castles (including the breathtaking Cathar castles) and vast sandy beaches. Shopping is never a problem, as every nearby village seems to have a massive supermarket. Suzanne is so easy to deal with, she's very helpful with all the information she gives both in respect of the apartment and the locality, and she was really quick to refund our deposit. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We do take care to provide the best possible comfortable beds for the apartment, even though 'one size does not fit all' and we provide the option of a memory foam topper or the firmer mattress for the double bed. We are glad you found them to your satisfaction. The fact that there are no cars or trucks rushing by at all times of the night and day, just the occasional boat, makes for a quiet repose as you say. Being nearer to the water we find is also a plus, as it is more sheltered and cooler in the hot summer days. We would be delighted to see you come again to stay and explore more of the area.

Spacious, well equiped apartment in marina complex. Shops and restaurants close by. Easy flat walk (approx 3 km) into St Cyprien plage with it's numerous cafes and restaurants. Area good for site-seeing. Good area for wine lovers. We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to return.

We had a great week at the apartment which was very clean and well appointed - one of the best we have stayed at over the years. The local shops were close by for day to day shopping. There was secure parking and the surrounding area is easily accessed by car for a variety of beaches and sight seeing. The pool was also very good. We have no hesitation in recommending.

Hidden Jewels in the Pyrenees Orientals
My 2nd visit with an old chum and hired a car this time.
As I recall, the property feels homely with excellent quality facilities - everything one needs for a splendid accommodation.
I took the bus route from airport as I wasn’t press for time - Bus 6 to Medipole, then Bus 420 for St Cyprien.
Went to the beach, circa 20 mins walk. The accommodation even provided mats and big umbrella to take to the beach. A decent restaurant near the beach too.
Went explored nearby quaint villages such as Ceret, Elne, Collioure etc - beautiful & serene. In Ceret, Picasso once roamed & lived here. Unbelievable! We saw his bizarre design fountain displays on the street! What a nice surprise! Also discovered places selling unusual accessories. Then at Elne, I went into an authentic beautiful design glassware shop selling accessories & decorative items. You could even watch how it’s all made with your own chosen design!
Discovered a few delicious Catalan-French restaurants - Le Jardin de Collioure and Le Tonnelle on the harbour. At Boniface, Perpignan Agro Sud, I had the most delicious fresh lobsters, apparently very popular with the locals, owner farmed his own seafood. Spoilt for choice for fine dining and I couldn't find any reason to cook.
Not far from the property, I also enjoyed a spa treat at L'île de la Lagune Hotel rated 5 star spa treatment with roof top hydrotherapy pool and an exquisite Michelin rated food restaurant on site. I read that this excellent restaurant has chef trained at El Bulli!

Glorious time in St Cyprien
This is a fabulous apartment with everything you could ask for - spacious, luxury kitchen, fantastic harbour views from balcony. huge swimming pool (great for kids). The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, providing useful information and ensuring you have everything you need. The commercial shopping area next to the complex is handy and you can buy fresh bread, meat, fish etc all day long. Beaches are lovely, especially St Cyprien and the village of Collioure is glorious. Plenty to keep children entertained in the area. Overall, thoroughly recommend this property and we will certainly return.

Thank you for such a good review. We are glad that you had a super stay and found the large swimming pool great for the children. It never seems to get too crowded and there are plenty of seats around it to accommodate all.
Indeed, as you say, there is plenty to keep everyone occupied, including adventure camps for children up near Le Boulou in The Alberes. We have since added an airconditioning unit, but there does not seem to be much need for it as yet as the apartment is kept fairly cool by the water.

Quality property
The property is clean and well presented with plenty of amenities to hand. It's location, on the edge of a marina with views over distant mountains, makes it an ideal spot for relaxation as well as walking. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen/dining area is very well equipped. The ability to eat an evening meal on the balcony whilst watching the sun set over the water is an experience not to be missed. There are many opportunities for walking trails in the nearby area and the resort swimming pool is an ideal.place to relax after a day on the trail. For children there is mini golf, karting and Aqualand nearby. The local villages host a multitude of attractive restaurants with reasonably priced menus. This is a holiday property that I would highly recommend, with an owner who is extremely helpful and communicative.

What a Gem
We are experienced “Giters” having used 3 or 4 each year for the past 10 years or so. This one is right up at the top of the list. It has everything you could wish for, and a lot more besides, all the equipment is first class, and the apartment is furnished to a very high standard indeed. The Gite owner is friendly and helpful, her instructions are clear and precise. We did not have any problems at all. Only one word really – “Brilliant” and would recommend this to anybody.

Wonderful week
We had the most wonderful relaxing break here in St Cyprian. The apartment has everything and more you could need and Suzanna, the owner was great at communicating and all instructions were simple to understand. Thanks for loaning us your superb home for a week!

Two French grandchildren I have worked in Senior Management in USA/GB & Finance . In addition to a varied career and life, my last professional paid work was Medical Administration. I am a Director of my Residential multi=dwelling property in the UK. Long experience with renting properties, 25+ years, both short term and long term. The most interesting rentals I did over many seasons was for the Wimbledon Fortnight to Tennis Officials and the Top-seeded Tennis Players. Hugely demanding as a Landlord. In this area of France there is plenty to occupy myself, my family and friends with outdoor activities, art, culture, great restaurants , boating, golf, tennis, gym, both here in PO and in Spain. With many friends in the region, both French, Catalan and English speaking I find everyone very welcoming and encouraging. We at the Residence have informal gatherings to discuss how to best look after our guests, exchange advices and information. We can also recommend guests to our friends, knowing they will get the same quality rental should this apartment be already booked for the requested dates. From other owners I have been renting properties/Gites (mostly French) for over 45 years. So this helps with a good knowledge of 'how it works" I believe. I can speak reasonable French, though sometimes with an Ozzie accent & this has lead to some interesting interpretations!!
The apartment is on the RDC (ground floor). I am keen that the property is kept well maintained & that guests are impressed and pleased with the quality of the furnishings and equipment. I chose this Residence due to it's high standards, great pool & proximity to many interesting areas & the adjacent Centre Commercial. It is considered a 'luxury' Residence according to French standards. Swiss Built.

It is an unique area of France in that it is at the foothills of the Pyrenees while having some of the best sandy beaches on the French Mediterranean coast. There are regular, in season, boat trips to Spain, Sailing and motor boats available for rent. Good gold course. Tennis Courts, Sports and Leisure Centre, horse riding. Diving, sea canoeing, kayaking, mountain sports,Off road biking, Many ancient historical monuments, Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, Cathars, left evidence of their lives. Museums, cultural activities, festivals and it is really quite impossible to do them all at one visit. Most of all, it is the weather. It is stated that there is sunshine 300+ days of a year. No wonder the world's largest solar discs are located in the mountains nearby.

The apartment is well located to transport amenities. A local bus to Perpignan is just 4 mins from the door and on public transport all the way to the Perpignan Airport on Mon-Sat. The apartment itself is quiet, overlooking the marina/garden so not the usual rushing and noise of passing traffic. When the weather comes off the sea it is possible to sometime hear the waves crashing. It's a great area for families and also because of the many family=centred activities. The French cater very well for childrens' activities. Numerous shops 2 mins walk from the front door. More activities and shopping than can possibly be explored in one or two stays. Local markets and Perpignan grand flea market, More over the border ins Spain. The mountain valleys are spectacular, particularly in Spring, with plenty of walks all levels, also all areas-along sea coasts to mountain peaks. The bus can, take you to connect to the Perpignan Train station from where you can take the train or TGV to Paris/Barcelona. Via train from Narbonne and Montpelier connections to many other areas of France/Toulouse Bordeaux/Lyon etc. Local Lio buses can take you up to Font Romeau for just 2 euros -1800m.. Skiing in winter.There is water, water everywhere, with a large pool, lagoon and sea. Sailors can hire a boat easily and golfers can try out the lovely St Cyprien Golf Course & others just over the Spanish border. Daily boat tours to Spain. Numerous restaurants locally and in Perpignan. Many supermarkets with very good selection of gluten free food, vegetarian/vegan & in a superb 'Bio' shops= one in nearby Elne. Wonderful blue skies and mild/ hot weather. Sheltered areas to explore if windy. i.e Collioure & Ceret In season there are many lovely beach restaurants open daily all along the St Cyprien-Canet area Many festivals & events throughout the summer & free concerts all about the area. The Jazz train & little Yellow Train through the high valleys of the Pyrenees-spectacular!
