This apartment was awesome, super functional and close to the train station. Kevin was a lovely and communicative host who was especially helpful for people new to Japan!
Cute little apartment but roomy as per Tokyo standard. It has everything that you'd need for a comfortable stay just like home. The host Kevin is also very helpful and easy to communicate with!
It is in a great location and served its purpose for our visit but no bells and whistles. We understand it is an older building but it could have been cleaner.
This apartment worked very well for us. It was clean, plenty of room, and a short walk to the bus stop and subway. The air conditioning was great. Good communication with the host. He was attentive to our needs He also informed us of Japanese customs and how society works. I would stay there again.
The apartment was in a lovely location, about an eight minute walk to the closest station or if your adventurous like me, only about a 25 minute walk from Shibuya Scramble or 30 minute walk to Shinjuku. The bed was comfy and I slept quite well. Check-in was quite easy and the communication with the host was quite easy as well. I'd stay here again.
The apartment is as described. Quant and cozy, but we've seen much smaller hotel rooms during our Japan trip! It was clean and supplied with the basics, plus a washing machine. The hike to the train station was about 10 minutes if I remember right, through a a quiet residential neighborhood. A walk to the east through neighborhoods brought us through some lovely streets. The shower temperature seemed a little finicky, but not enough to detract. Great host communication, too!
THERE IS A BED BUG INFESTATION IN THE ROOMMy friend and I were bitten all over our body and when we lifted up the bed there was bed bug larva, skin, feces, and a living bed bug underneath. I had to quickly get out and book a hotel and pay to have my clothes and luggage steamed. When I initially messaged the host he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal and "to just buy a spray its just one". Genuinely an awful host and gross room. Also, the location is very inconvenient and you can find better cleaner places for cheaper. Don't book!
We stayed here for six days on our trip to Japan. The property is very nice and in a very nice neighborhood. Shinjuku station is a 30 minute walk, and in the neighborhood thereâs plenty of local restaurants that are amazing, multiple Lawson, 7/11, and ministop konbini as well as a Seims and a BookOff all within 5-10 minutes walking. Kevin is a very kind host with lots of information and local tips as well! We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon!
Compared to other apartments I have seen in Tokyo, this one has a very large bedroom. You could almost fit the rest of the apartment into the amount of space in the bedroom with how big it is. The bathroom is a little tight but thatâs expected. At least the tub is nice and deep for a good bath. The property manager is very nice, checked in with us, and was very helpful with directions and even offered to help with reservations. There is also a nice little kitchenette so you donât need to pay extra to eat out all the time since restaurants will charge nearly 3x the price of Wagyu compared to the grocery store. At the same time, if you DO want to eat out, there are a lot of nice restaurants nearby as well. We ate at torikizoku twice because of how good their Camembert croquettes were. It was about 10 minutes away from the train station and for some, thatâs a bit of a walk but it was a good enough distance away so you didnât hear a bunch of vehicles or trains at all hours so it was very quiet and peaceful at the apartment.
This place is a good spot to be close to Shibuya and Shinjuku. It's a 5 minute walk to the bus stop or the train station. The bus will take you to Shibuya within 20 minutes while the train can take you to Shinjuku within 15 minutes - only 3 stops away. It is also nice that the place is on the first floor so you don't have to lug anything up a bunch of stairs.
All that said, this place is probably better just for those who want a place to sleep and will be spending most of their time outside. The place is extremely small and short. I could not get through the doors without ducking and there's a dangly light that I kept hitting. It's on the uncomfortable side for 4 people. The apartment is designed for a single person or a couple at most. The bathroom is extremely small and the hot water can be difficult to control.
The host though was really great checking in on us several times during our stay. He sent a lot of helpful videos and gave us a lot of tips on things to do. I appreciated how helpful he was.
