Private 52 acre Romantic Get-Away Cottages. Elegant cottages are situated at the base of a private mountain and 15 feet from a year round roaring creek! If want to stay in and grill dinner, enjoy a bottle of wine by the fireplace, and soak in the Jacuzzi tub Valley Glen is the place. If you want to cook breakfast (yes breakfast items provided!) and head out to take in Colorado and the local attractions Valley Glen is the place.

Boasting 1800 square feet the Cape Cod is ideally designed to accommodate large parties, families, reunions, weddings, and gathers. Although one large cottage, is it also designed to have the privacy of three fully self-contained destinations. Each has a bedroom, a living room with an electric fireplace, a full kitchen, and a Jacuzzi tub/separate shower; lending all parties the privacy to enjoy an intimate, relaxing and romantic oasis. We also offer romance packages too so contact us about adding the ultimate touch of romance and relaxation to your stay. Coming as a large group doesn’t diminish the opportunity for privacy and romance!

The length of cottages and creek is edged in a brick path lined with solar lighting. Your walk is sure to be relaxing with periodic cascading waterfalls, stunning view of the mountains, along with lively birds to accompany your journey. Wildlife abounds in the region, and it is not uncommon to view Bighorn sheep, mule deer, and elk from within the cottages.

Bringing the group back together will be simple as the location also includes a Gazebo, a large patio with seating, and catering kitchen to bring everyone together for a relaxing meal. There are grills and an open fire pit for a marshmallow roast as an evening finale. The Cape can sleep a total of 11 people and contains three queen beds, 2 queen sleeper couches, and 1 full sleeper couch. If this doesn't sleep everyone renting out the entire village, sleeping a total of 20 comfortably is an option. This is an ideal rental property to house your corporate guests, contractors, consultants, VIPs or your wedding. Contact for details.

Very pleasing residence and area!

We so enjoyed our visit to Cape Cod 1. It looks like it’s newly and nicely appointed. The residence was “happy”. Of course the rushing brook and lighted brick walkways were a bonus. We visited relatives at Mueller State Park nearby. Also visited the Wolf Sanctuary..

The creek runs through the property, the decor is pretty and understated in a positive way. Very cute and clean. I would definitely return!

It's a very beautiful area. The creek running through the property really steals the show. The rooms were clean and were completely stocked. Medium sized refrigerator with working freezer, full oven/stove to include all utensils. Very quiet with exception to the creek. It was very relaxing.

We had a wonderful time.

Check in process was strange. It had the wrong unit and wrong address. We accidentally walked in on a resident who rented by the month- due to the information being incorrect on the VRBO description. Luckily he was friendly and helped us get situated. The door was not only unlocked the door was wide open. Unit was cold when we arrived. The kitchen was not fully stocked (cooking utensils) but we purchased everything we needed at the Walmart a town over. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Aside from the property managers cleaning up the outside grounds on a Saturday evening (using loud lawn equipment) it was wonderful. Bed and furniture is very comfortable and a great selection on the TV. Bathtub is wonderful as Well. Everything was spotless.

Enjoyable Surroundings

We enjoyed staying in this spacious cottage for 2. It was very clean, large bathroom, well stocked kitchen and a quaint living area. The mountain stream running in front of it was a bonus.

Almost Perfect

What a great location and beautiful surroundings. The creek was relaxing. The location was fantastic for jumping off to lots of state parks, Florissant Fossil Beds, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Colo Springs, etc. Everything was clean and inviting. Molly and Michelle were wonderful and super responsive. Upon entering unit 2, inside the door there are adjoining doors on each side that provide access to units 1 and 3, but remain locked unless you rent out those units as well. Immediately in front of you is a stairway that leads you up to the split floor plan for unit 2 (kitchen/living on right and bedroom/bathroom on the left). A few things kept it from being perfect and many could be remediated. It was a little tight and not set up well for a family of 4 but would be perfect for a couple or for a family with 1 kid. Since the pictures on the listing were not for the actual cottage we stayed in, we weren't sure what to expect. I would definitely suggest putting pictures up that depict the actual cottage so renters can determine if it will accommodate them. There were no window coverings in the living room or kitchen so we felt very exposed walking around there at night, especially with others guests at the cottage next door. In the summer, it stays light late which didn't help with getting the kids to bed on the couch and pullout twin in the living room. The dining room table is not conducive to more than two people sitting at the same time (and only has 2 chairs). The mini fridge/freezer is really tiny so we couldn't eat in as often as we had hoped. I would also suggest adding a toaster. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in this peaceful, relaxing, and convenient "off the beaten path" location.
