Apartment for rent in Florence located in a beautiful area of the historic center a few steps from the Central Market and the Fortezza da Basso. It is a very cozy and well furnished house with some antiques. The space is divided between two main rooms, namely the kitchen and the bedroom, to which is added a bathroom with shower and bidet. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for cooking. The real selling point of this house is the bedroom. Very large and elegant, the master bedroom has a beautiful frescoed ceiling, large windows that make it very bright and numerous pieces of furniture of great value. The apartment is equipped with washing machine, Wi-Fi internet and air conditioning.
Convenient location but noisy and the plumbing was not up to par.
The property is as pictured, and was conveniently located. We were able to walk to every museum, church, and activity we wanted to see and do. However, the home is located over a convenience store and it was noisy as men would gather outside and talk into the night. The shower valve was also not working property and the water would change quickly (on it's own) from hot to cold.
My daughter was doing her study abroad in Florence, once she was done, I came to join her. We spent 3 weeks seeing Europe of which we spent 3 nights in Florence. The shower is TINY and I mean TINY. I am not a big person and neither is my daughter! We also could not get the water to stay warm!!! It was either COLD or steaming HOT!!! The water closet does not flush well. The bed pillows are HORRIBLY FLAT. The pictures make this place look much nicer than it is. The location is ok, but be ready to wake up early every morning to outside noises. Also be prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs. The place has charm but needs some work.
If you want the Ritz Carlton this is NOT the place for you. This place meets your needs. Donât drive just walk, itâs faster and cheaper.Conâs: lamps would flicker on and off or wouldnât turn on at all when trying to use them. Water pressure for showers was iffy and it was showering with arctic waters or the surface of the sun. Pros: This is a great place to stay to rest your head, have a little privacy, close to your desired tours, and not break the bank. Most everything you want to visit is within a 20 minute walk: restaurants galore, the statue of David (3 blocks away), the Bell Tower (6 blocks), the Michelangelo leather school, wine walls, and more. Best Gelato spot, La Sorbettiera, is further about 25/30 minute walk and worth it. Safe neighborhood even at night, no issues. Iâm use to the city life so evening life was white noise for me. Host: Boris was great he let me check in early to drop off my luggage so I could start exploring right away. He gave me the ins and outs and was a WhatsApp message away if I needed anything. I was even given options to store my luggage at a safe location for post check out before leaving town.Note transit times for waking can vary, the crowds on the 16 inch wide sidewalks dragging their luggage is your a majority of your traffic. navigating in town after a day is pretty easy, so have fun and let this be your place to rest. AI can say Iâd book again!
No problem finding the place. The checkin person was nice and on time.
The place was clean. I found awkward that we had only a towel each, for 9 days.
The huge disappointment was that the windows AND the shutters were closed. It was impossible to open them, as there was a scaffolding in front of all the building blocking windows and shutters. Which we didnât know, and would have definitely never choose that place to stay.
Everyday, starting at 8:00 and ALL day long. The noise, the talk as they even was at the windows level that precise week we rented. The owner did nothing about it. Even said that it was probably only for one day, as it went on and on for nine days.
The kitchen was definitely not FULLY equipped as mentioned in the add. Coffee maker was broken. Only to mention.
We were not happy with our stay! We stayed in older places before but better maintained.
The property did look like the pics, but we thought itâs just a vintage look, but it is actually very old stuff!! The bathroom smelled like sewer, the toilet is not sealed well from the back, which I think caused the smell, the standup shower is very tight, you bump your arms in the walls when you move, and Iâm talking about average size people (5.7âtall/155lbs) kitchen was ok, but we didnât use it, we agreed on early check in but we waited in the street for 20 mins for someone to arrive.
It is on the 2nd floor with no elevator, wasnât a big deal for us since we only had carry on bags.
If you are a light sleeper, itâs definitely a problem since you can hear anyone talking in the street, itâs noisy.
Location wise is good, itâs very close from the leather market.
We loved Florence but I donât think weâre staying here again!
The place was very cozy for the two of us. The only minor issue is the water when showering is not regulated properly when itâs hot. In other words, you can set it to warm or hot but after a minute it goes cold again, then you can set it a little hotter but then it goes super hot and itâs just a bit tedious to deal with that when showering.
Very good communication. I had a issue with washer and it was fixed that day. Just keep in mind you should bring your own washing soap. Donât try to purchase at the laundromat next door. Waisted money and no soap. Shower was a bit slippery and a high step up. Itâs all good just a few thinks to keep in mind. Great location and everything you need close
The apartment is in an active area with so much to do and see within walking distance. Loved all the local eateries, flavors and smells. Best gelato in Italy just down the way, âLa Gelatiera.â The apartment has air conditioning which is needed by the end of May. Great ceiling to sleep under.
We stayed at the studio to get off the main tourist trap areas. We walked less than 10 minutes to the train station, Duomo, Accademia Gallery, and the local markets. Everything is walkable and Erica gave us some great restaurants to try.
Itâs on the second floor to keep in mind for luggage and the door to the studio is half the size of a normal door. Neighborhood was quiet, water heater worked consistently well for showers, and had all the basic essentials in kitchen to make coffee and warm up lunch.
