When we checked into this apartment and there was no water or electricity. I called the owner and spoke to him. He sent the maintenance men, over an hour later the arrived and got the electricity on but said the water heater was old and had surged the electricity causing all to fail. He indicated that the water heater needed to be replaced. We did not have hot water and could not shower. I expected and paid for a luxury apartment and did not even get the basics. The late the next day we moved to another apartment that had electricity and hot water. This apartment was not nearly as well appointed as the one advertised on the website and for which i paid. Attached are photos of the second apartment and the damages/defects. They include crayon marks on the wall stains on entry table, stickers on floor, old worn out couch with missing buttons, broken chairs in dining room, malfunctioning toilet in master bedroom. I spoke to both the owner and VRBO about a refund or compensation for the lack of basic necessities and services, neither of which was provided.
