One of the loveliest spots in Biddeford Pool! This is an older well-loved home with lots of room. The view is unbeatable (we watched a seal play in the surf for an hour one morning!) And the location is wonderful. Private, quiet, a bird-lover's delight! An easy walk to the beach or the village. The cottage was well-furnished with everything you could need and was very clean.
The home was clean, the layout is open and itâs right on the beach! The back porch is by far the best feature with a private backyard for grilling and yard games. Canât wait to come back next summer!
Great exterior location, interior had mildew issues
Location of the property was excellent. The beach proximity was wonderful. Rental was easily completed with a local rental agency. Owner accommodated a last minute rental.
Interior of the beach house was quaint in decor, but carpeting was very dated. The lower level was a partial walkout basement. The lower level had a strong mildew smell. I found a dehumidifier in the lower level living area. The carpet on the twin bedroom was very damp. After two night stay and use of downstairs bath/ shower it was evident a slow leak was between the common wall of the bedroom and shower wall. I texted the owner directly as we had to depart before the rental company was open to notify of this concern. I have not received any text from the owner as I felt she should be aware of this and have it investigated for future guests.
Hello and welcome to Marion's Gray Gull. My parents, Marion and Dana built this house in 1963. Nearly all of the maintenance on the property is done by my father and myself. We moved to NC in 2010 and now only spend two weeks a year here.
My mother grew up spending her summers at Biddeford Pool and her parents retired there. It only made sense to build a larger house closer to the beach.
