The original building dates back to the year 1000, and has lost nothing of its ancient charm, although it has undergone significant alterations over time. The owner has rendered the dwelling functional through a skillful and meticulous renovation, equipping it with modern comforts. Yet the air is still replete with the magic of ancient memories.
Situated in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, the ancient historic church of San Giusto in Salcio is already recorded in a document from the year 1018 originating from the archive of the Castello di Brolio, although what we see today is fruit of the restoration carried out in the late twenties.
The church has maintained the basilica-style three-naved layout, with the arches supported on quadrangular pillars without any real capital, and with three apses and a roof formed of trusses in wood and terracotta.
The entire church, completely bare apart from a modern wooden crucifix, an exceptional work by the English sculptor Matthew Spender, has managed to preserve in the interior a superb austerity.

The property is surrounded by an extensive private garden looking out on a romantic landscape of orchards and vineyards. In the characteristic, spacious stone cellars, which have also been carefully restored, guests may taste and purchase the excellent wine and extra-virgin olive oil produced by the owner of the estate.
The property lies about 4 km from Radda in Chianti, 40 km from Florence and 30 from Siena.
All the rooms of the villa have air-condition, refrigerator, plasma TV, satelite system and safe.

Ground floor:
A big room that guests use for dinners/lunches, and next to this you have the wine cellar. After the wine cellar you have the room for the sauna. After the sauna there is a door that leads to a relaxation room and the outdoor Roman bath, an outdoor Jacuzzi pool with patio 3x6 m.

First floor:

After 40 km you'll find Panzano
Go straight direction Siena
After 5 km, turno to the left direction Radda
After 11 km, in Radda follow directions for Castellina, Poggibonsi and Siena
After 1 km, turn to the left for Lecchi, Pieve di San Giusto
After 3 km, turn to the right, direction Pieve di San Giusto
After 400 m of an unpaved road, you arrive to Villa San Giusto, located next to the San Giusto church.
