Waterfront Log Home Quiet Lac-25 Minutes -Dimanche River Ski

Evadez-vous de tout cela ... Niché sur le bord des Montagnes Blanches dans la région des Grands Lacs de l'Ouest du Maine, est le grand maison idéale, au bord du lac journal si votre idée d'obtenir l'écart implique diriger vers l'extérieur et loin de la foule.

Pendant l'hiver, profitez de la grande cheminée en pierre dans la pièce principale, à proximité de ski, la motoneige et le patinage sur glace sur le lac. Au printemps et automne profiter Peeping feuilles et de la randonnée dans les Montagnes Blanches. Pendant l'été, profiter du lac paisible avec privés 230 pieds. Propriété au bord du lac, l'entrée de sable de l'eau, la natation, le grand canot, barbecue sur une grande terrasse et d'un hamac avec de belles vues sur l'eau et les montagnes.

Lovely location

Great isolated getaway location. Short drive to get to shops, restaurants, but the location is serene.

Just what we needed

Check-in was a breeze, Wi-Fi was excellent, the cabin was comfortable but best of all the location was perfect. We were looking for a quiet, pretty place to relax and that’s what we got. We swam, hiked a little, watched the birds and had a wonderful week.

This is the quietest, most serene place we have rented in all of Maine. The Papoose Pond may not be a big body of water, but it was great for kayaking at any level of inexperience. The Crooked River, however, was a pleasant challenge among the zigs and zags and was loaded with large brown trout.If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to go.

Great vacation for 2 families!

This house was a perfect get-away! We travelled as two families of 4. The house acommodated us very well and the views of Papoose Pond were incredible. The pond access allowed for a great swimming spot as well as a great place to fish. The owners were super helpful, by sending a bunch of information ahead of time as well as checking in mid-stay to see how we were doing. We took a canoe ride down the crooked river, as suggested by the owner and it was a blast. We would definitely recommend booking a stay!

The cabin is placed right next to a beautiful lake and it’s a perfect place to go and relax.

Very nice weekend getaway

Very cute house and lots of extra stuff to do. We loved kayaking through the pond, and having a fire at night. Will definitely stay here again!

Cozy New Years Stay

Lovely lakeside retreat

My family enjoyed staying at this property. The house was secluded and private, the pond access was ideal for kayaking and swimming for our young son, and the surrounding area was very nice. I appreciated that the house had some helpful safety features for a toddler including stair gates. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great stay in a secluded cabin!

We had such an amazing time at this location. It was exactly what our group was looking for and the pond was such a great backdrop. We enjoyed kayaking and just relaxing by the fire pit. All of our friends said it was one of the best trips they have had and want to return again and again. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Great weekend getaway for ski trip

The house was great for our weekend ski trip to Sunday River. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner both days. The three bedrooms plus the loft beds were comfortable and views of the pond out back were great.

Great authentic Maine winter experience

First off, so there is no confusion, we loved our time at the house, on the property, overall great. A couple things definitely would want to convey. If you’re going in the winter and there is snow, the house is truly in the woods, and a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle was very necessary.

Glad you had a nice stay. We don't have 4 wheel drive vehicles and have never had a problem getting to the house. That said, if the private driveway was icey, I would have been happy to send my plow company over to sand it (our plow company is very responsive). It's Maine, it does snow a lot and sometimes it's icey. But, I find that the roads are usually well plowed and sanded.

Wedding weekend

We had a wedding in the area so we found this spot. It was a cool cabin right on the water. Wish we had more time to enjoy it as it was a beautiful secluded area.
