Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
Decent property but not sure about owner
Comfortable and renovated space with good air conditioning, clean bathrooms, fresh linens etc. Good views from the balcony and roof top.
Not directly accessible by automobiles so pain to get to (like most places in Positano) - approx. 100 steps up from the street. The local contact was v helpful and kindly arranged a porter at $10 per bag
There’s no coffee, water or jug in the kitchen (tap water is warm). There’s a mini market about 5 mins away by foot - in the heat you’re completely drenched after the 10 min round trip. It’s closed on Sunday, however, when we arrived.
Best way to get to town/beach is to walk down (about 14 mins). Best way back is the bus (every 30mins and under $2). Taxis are all crooks - no meter, they just quote a price (anything from $30-$50 for a 5min ride). One of them thought I should give him 50 euros instead of the agreed 35 because he didn’t have change - can’t make it up. And they’ve successfully lobbied (it seems) to keep Uber away.
Finally, on our last night power went out at 2 or 3am. It was just our unit (others had lights on), nothing was tripped. I didn’t get a response from the local contact so assuming they shut it off somehow - maybe they meter out a certain amount per stay. Needless to say it was infuriating.
With a little better management and less stinginess this could be a great place but the owner knows it will still get rented in high season by people who book late (like we did)
