The cabin is so comfortable and has such personality. Even though it poured rain one day, we had a great time sitting on the covered deck or feeding the wood stove inside while watching movies.

Home Away from Home

Cozy and close to the ski resort! Home had everything you need except for the groceries! Nestled in a quiet little neighborhood, this cabin is perfect for everyone. Fenced yard for pets and small kids, an open floor plan made it easy to stay involved while in the kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub under the cedar trees. You can hear the train when it comes by, but it is faint and enjoyable. The quiet neighborhood is a great place to walk with your kids or pets and it's an easy walk to the river where there is a small beach area. We felt safe and secure during our stay. Beds are comfortable and the woodstove is great to cozy up next to. There is plenty of seating with a kitchen bar and a dining room table. Even the extras are there if you look - boot dryer, misc. tea & coffee, lots of spices for cooking and plenty of towels. Even laundry soap if you forget yours!! It's centrally located about 20 minutes to the local grocery store and 25 minutes to the slopes. We were very grateful to find a house that accepted a big dog and had a yard to play in. Josh, the host is great to work with and very responsive! Definitely worth every penny! The welcome basket and note were very personable and appreciated as well!

We loved staying there and the cabin was so relaxing. Especially having the hot tub made it very relaxing. You are still in driving distance to sights to see in the area. Having the property fully fenced was a huge plus. It was not only good for the dogs , but also for privacy. The fencing is over 6' tall which made it private. The only downfall of the fenced in yard was there was a lot of weeds grown pretty tall which made it a challenge to find the poop if we were not watching them closely. The only other thing is we wish the house rules would of been on the listing instead of finding out at the last minute. Our 2 dogs are used to sleeping on our couches and bed which the property does not allow. We made sure we brought extra beds for the dogs . It was a challenge keeping them off the bedding and couches since they are not used to it.

Really great stay! Peaceful, relaxing, well-equipped for all the little bits and bobs we needed to stay, and our dogs had SO MUCH FUN running around the yard while still having the shade from the gorgeous trees to keep everyone cool and happy. We’ll definitely be back again!

LOVED it!! , Had a great trip!! I missed it as soon as I left and will be back.

This place is wonderful!! Very clean and everything I needed was there. Comfortable and cozy. The yard is definitely my favorite thing, it is big and fenced in with personal touches from the owners that just topped it off!! Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the snowy mountain is just perfect! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.. Short walk to the river and lots of places to hike and fish or whatever you want just a short drive away. I can not say enough about the host Josh, he is great and was very helpful and made sure I was happy on my trip. I stayed for 2 weeks and at the end just could not bring myself to leave so added a couple more days =) I am planning on returning in the future for sure! Definitely recommend to all!! Oh, and my pups loved it also and say 5 stars !!

Stay at the Chalet

The house is very homey. Kitchen is a little small but we were still able to make do and cook foods like steak, mushrooms, soup, and even bake. The hot tub worked really well the 1st night, but we had trouble starting it on the last night. It seems like turning on the jets in the tub caused the tub to lose power, so we had to switch the breaker back on a few times. Eventually we found out from reading online that some hot tubs needs a certain level of water otherwise they automatically shut off themselves (I think to prevent air getting into the filter system or what not). After adding more water into the tub, it worked just fine without it losing power. The owner/host responds really quickly, and was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Other than we enjoyed our time here, and it's really close to Steven's Pass if you want to go snowboarding/skiing.

Thank you for your stay and review, Oliver! It was great to host you. I wanted to follow up to mention that we were able to get the Hot Spring repair specialist out to fix the hot tub. It was actually a bad circuit board which was causing that inconsistent issue. All fixed and ready for more chill times. Look forward to having you back next year!

My love for the mountains and travel has brought me to this place. My kids have been skiing/snowboarding since they were two-years-old, and I spent my life before they globe-trotting, having travelled to more than 30 countries. This spawned my motivation to create an incredible space to share with others, and I love seeing the joy that it can provide.
