A luxurious, welcoming, spacious and bright bungalow close to Milan with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Ca' dei Girasoli is positioned on a quiet cul-de-sac in the residential area of Villagio Ambrosiano, Segrate, a short drive from Linate Airport.
I was thrilled to find this house in the same neighborhood where most of my family lives. Conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants if you have a car. Quick drive to the closest Metro station to get into Milan center. Clean and spacious property with wonderful air conditioning. Great communication with the owner. communicatiprmanager.
We have stayed one week in July 2023, six persons. The Vila is in Segrate, at 30 minutes from Milan City Center or from Statione Centrale. For those who came with the car it is a perfect option, otherwise one must use taxi or common transportation.
The Vila is perfectly clean, equipped with all the devices needed, had a big courtyard with proper furniture, it is a very safe and quiet area. Everithing works perfect, it is recently renovated and very well maintained.
This location is ideal for a family of 4-6 members, it is a very cosy and spacious area to spend some time close to Milan.
We had an emergency with our son who was stranded in Italy for 2 days before we were to arrive. Manuella graciously arranged to allow our son to stay there for the two days before our arrival. Renato, her property manager was wonderful to deal with. A very nice home but not very close to the metro or trains but there is a bus I think. We did have to buy paper towels and toilet paper while there for 3 days. Highly recommend them.
We used this home as our base as we traveled each day exploring Italy. As a base location, we did not cook or use most of the kitchenware so I can't speak to its adequacy. I would suggest providing more trash liners and some ziplock baggies for guests. The beds were comfortable and the owners were very responsive when we asked about a remote to change the tv to english and also addressing the drain in one of the showers. The area is on a residential street in a nice neighborhood and very quiet at night. We did struggle a little with properly identifying which container the recycle, compost and trash go. Italy does a much better job than the USA in reuse and manufacturing recyclable materials. I think this is true of all european countries. The only area of improvement would be to provide more than one bath towel per person for showering especially for guests that are staying more than 3 days. We received one bath towel and two hand towels each. While there was a washer available at the house, there is no dryer so it took two days to dry unless you draped it outside in the sun. We had a lot of rainy days during our stay so that really wasn't an option. We had to use the two hand towels to dry our body and hair after showering. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting to stay outside of Milan's city centre.
