The FATTORIA CAMIGLIANO‘s gated entrance is approached on a paved road through its private vineyards, but the trees soon open to a vista of the region’s rolling hills that can be enjoyed from the pool or the seating area on the panoramic terrace by the main floor of the villa. There’s an outdoor barbecue and an al-fresco dining area.
FATTORIA CAMIGLIANO‘s interiors still have their beamed ceilings, tile floors, and stone walls but they’ve been given a modern twist with neutral-toned rugs and sofas and graphic metal accents
If you’d like to try local specialties during your stay, head to the restaurants or grocery stores 5 minutes away. It’s a 5-minute drive to the nearest village with supermarkets and shops, and a 20-minute drive to the town of Lucca and 35 mins from the beaches.
If you like stories, then you should know that FATTORIA CAMIGLIANO was the farm of the Villa Torrigiani Estate, the only baroque Villa in Tuscany and once the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Lucca to the King Louis XIV’s court in Versailles (the Sun King). Villa Torrigiani estate is located within a 2 mins walk away and it is well worth the visit of its manicured garden and grand interiors!
FATTORIA CAMIGLIANO lies at the middle of a wine estate and it is a real farm!
The main floor of the villa is the first floor, one above the ground. There you can find a grand kitchen with central counter for cooking classes, a grand living room with a fireplace (not usable), a grand dining room opening onto a panoramic terrace with seating area and access to the pool. A bathroom with shower.
On the first floor there is another living area, 3 bedrooms with double beds and 1 bedrooms with two twin beds and 2 bathrooms with both built shower and tub.
In the same farmhouse building there is an hayloft which is composed of a second kitchen, a dining/living area with fireplace (not usable) and a toilet on the first floor. There are 2 bedrooms with a double beds and a bathroom with both built shower and tub on the second floor.
The ground floor of the farmhouse serves as the wine cellar, housing wine barrels. Occasionally, the proprietor accesses this space to collect wine bottles. When the winemaker is present on-site, guests have the opportunity to access and purchase wine. In September, guests can observe the grape-picking process if you wish.
Within the premises, separate from the farmhouse, resides the dwelling of the elderly winemaker, who currently resides there in solitude.
Please note that fireplaces are not usable.
