Idyllic North Cotswolds Cottage for Couples (and dogs!)
Dolly's Cottage is self-contained detached cottage in the grounds of Nineveh Farm, set in the beautiful north Cotswolds near the village of Mickleton. The cottage is beautifully appointed and well equipped. Large sitting room and kitchen, separate bedroom with king size bed and en-suite wet room. Private outside seating area with beautiful views. Off road parking. Perfectly situated for exploring the Cotswolds and only eight miles from Stratford on Avon. EV charger available. Great local pub just seven minutes walk.
We had a lovely few days in Dolly's cottage. It is perfectly appointed and in a great location for discovering the many beautiful villages and towns in the Cotswolds. The cottage was spotlessly clean, Judy was extremely helpful and responsive and very kindly left a lovely little welcome gift for us on arrival. Lovely views across the field with sheep grazing, and within walking distance of some lovely pubs serving great food.
The loveliest little cottage with stunning grounds. Friendly hosts with very good communication before and during even though away themselves. Dollys is in a fabulous location for visiting the beautiful Cotswolds and Judy makes the cottage home from home with a lovely welcome pack. Highly recommend we had an amazing time and will definitely visit again.
Clean and felt welcomed. A relaxing hub for the top part of Cotswolds. Next time we would rent a car since that is the best way to get around despite a few walking destinations. Best hosts we have ever had!
The cottage was just what we needed for our stay. It was well located for our touring of the Cotswolds. Our hosts were very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
We stayed at Dollyâs Cottage in the beautiful Cotswold village of Chipping Camden for 4 nights. Our host Judy was very friendly and left some delicious goodies in the cottage for our arrival. A lovely thoughtful touch very much appreciated .
We had a lovely few days at Dollyâs cottage which was lovely and clean and had all the amenities you could need. We were also left lovely welcome gifts of wine, cake, eggs and bread which we enjoyed very much! We would definitely recommend staying here.
Lovely place , quiet , relaxing and amazing comfortable bed ! Perfect location we were out and about in the day and back in the evenings to walk to local pubs The Kings Arms and The Butchers Arms both excellent ! Definitely recommend and we will be back
What a beautiful cottage!! Judy thought of everything to welcome her guests- breakfast goodies, wine and oh that yummy lemon cake. A perfect location to explore the Cotswolds with a family of robins visiting us everyday. Thankyou!!!
Great little property, very well equipped, beautiful wet room, large garden, stunning sunsets.. very welcoming hosts & Gardener! Strong WiFi .. arrival & property instructions very clear .. would definitely recommend & will return ..
A very stylish and comfortable cottage providing everything you need for visiting the northern Cotswolds, or simply to relax in the spacious and secluded garden.
Lovely cottage, ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and Shakespeare Country. Judy set the cottage up perfectly and left a few treats as well. The views were stunning. Very very highly recommended.
Great little cottage - comfortable bed and quality wet room, kitchen, and smart TV.
Short walk from mickleton though do note that there is no pavement for a 300m ish stretch at the start.
Judy was communicative and helpful throughout - we had a small issue on check in which was resolved speedily and with great consideration of us as guests. Thank you Judy!
Amazing little gem!
The host was absolutely amazing to accept my request at such last min!
She gave me ideas to visit places that best suited me and was spot on.
The home was very cosy with lovely little thoughtful touches of goodies upon arrival and had a large safe garden for my dog.
We will be back! :)
We had a good stay here, excellent location. everything we needed was available. kind host with welcoming extras. You don't normally get some butter supplied!
Internet a little dodgy at times
The cottage is situated just outside Mickleton. It has a lovely view over the fields. We even saw a barn owl hunting one evening. The accommodation is an ideal size for two with a kitchen which was ideal for our light breakfasts and an occasional dinner in. Lovely place to relax in the evening. Judy our host made us very welcome and supplied bread butter milk wine and a lovely home made cake. Will love to return again when we visit the Cotswolds.
We enjoyed our stay at Dollyâs. Itâs in an area close to plenty of beautiful Cotswoldâs villages and gardens and with a lot of walking opportunities. However, we found the lounge chair particularly uncomfortable - too low and the seating too deep - and discovered itâs not the one shown in the photos which looks far more comfortable. And weâre wondering why the âhome-made chairâ (not in the photos) was there at all. It would be far too uncomfortable to sit on it and it took up so much space in an already small area.
Judy was a great host and we loved our stay at Dollyâs Cottage. We took our spaniel and there was enough outside space to walk him in the evening and mornings. We didnât let him off his lead because of the pond, which Judy warned us about before we booked. However the were plenty of walks nearby where we could let him off his lead. Dovers Hill was a five minute drive away and was perfect in this regard. The cottage is small but a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. Had great wi-fi, comfortable bed and excellent shower. 5* stay for us.
Dollyâs Cottage was the perfect little place for my wife, myself, and our little doggy to stay. The property is small but incredibly cosy, clean, and possibly the best shower I have ever experienced! The bed is very comfortable. The sofa and living space which includes the kitchen is the perfect place to unwind after our long walks. We only used the kitchen for breakfast in the morning, but everything was very easy to use and well equipped. The nespresso coffee machine is wonderful. The outdoor space was lovely too. We used it when we first arrived to have tea and the delicious cake Judy baked for us.
As for the location, it is an ideal spot to explore this area of the Cotswolds. You are very close to Mickleton which has the lovely Kings Arms pub and is also a great starting point for walks. Chipping Campden is about an 8 minute drive away which is also a beautiful little town as well. Highly recommend walking the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden to Broadway, another lovely quaint town. The countryside around here is stunning! This was the perfect short break and will hopefully come back again soon.
