Prestigious apartment for rent in Florence, located in via dei Calzaiuoli a stone's throw from the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. Duomo Prestige has been completely renovated with great attention to every detail, using high quality materials and modern design furnishings. The house has a large and bright living area divided between a relaxation area with sofa and TV and a dining area with table and kitchen. The living room leads to a beautiful terrace, equipped with an outdoor table and oven, ideal for dining outside while enjoying a great view of Brunelleschi's Dome and Giotto's bell tower. The sleeping area consists of two double bedrooms, both with a view of the Duomo, and a modern bathroom with shower and bidet. Perfect for hosting a family or two couples of friends, this apartment has been equipped with everything you need to ensure you have a comfortable stay in Florence. Great location, clean and nice flat. Only issue is that The air conditioner did not cool the place. It has been about 80 degrees in here the entire stay. No response from host on a resolution.

Communication with the host and the check in process were both excellent. The location is very central (and, as such, you will hear noise at night). Unfortunately, there is no mention that the apartment is up 5 flights of stairs with no elevator. There are nearly 100 steps each time you enter or leave - for someone who is physically unable to navigate stairs this would be an insurmountable problem. Instead we lugged our bags up all the way. Inside, the unit is dire need of a paint job on all walls and doors. Some doors have rusty hinges. The bathroom is updated but seems out of place as the rest of the apartment is in "well-used" shape. The beds were clean and comfortable, however there was no additional bedding for anyone using the sofa bed. There was not a single picture or decoration in the apartment - just dirty white walls. A coat of paint, some decorations and CLEARLY indicating the 100 steps would be highly recommended. As such we cannot recommend this apartment.

Factual and objective review of our stay.Inaccurate Listing: The apartment was dirty upon arrival and looked significantly worse than the listing photos. It had a fundamental cleanliness issue, with dirt and debris visible on the floors and surfaces.Immediate Issue: Upon check-in, we discovered an active ant infestation across multiple rooms in this 5th-floor apartment and immediately notified the host.Inadequate Remedy: The host sent someone who heavily sprayed an aerosol pesticide (Raid) throughout the unit, including food preparation areas, bathroom, and the bedroom, rather than utilizing professional pest control or cleaning services.Lack of Communication: We evacuated the apartment to air out the chemical fumes and informed the host that the surfaces would need to be cleaned before we could safely prepare food. We received no response for two hours.Host's Response: When the host finally replied, they dismissed our safety concerns, stating there was "no health hazard" and telling us to "just open the windows." Dead and live ants remained on the uncleaned surfaces.Resolution: Due to the persistent infestation, surface contamination, general filth, and lack of host cooperation, the unit was unlivable for a family. We had to book an alternative hotel at our own expense to salvage our trip.

Florence Visit

We were very pleased with our stay at Duomo Prestige. The location is conveniently located to many popular sites. Having a patio for outside entertainment is an added bonus. The apartment to close enough to the Duomo to hear the bells ringing throughout the day adding to the charm of the location. If you don't mind climbing stairs, this is the perfect place to stay.

Perfect Location

We loved our stay here- the apartment is located right in city center with proximity to everything. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed, beautiful views and AC!! Sure there is a number of stairs to access the apartment, but you’ll be well-fueled with gelato so no problem!

Gorgeous flat in the heart of Firenze

This was a great flat and I would definitely stay here again. You can see the Duomo out the window (which is about two-three blocks away). It was clean and nice, and would have been great for a longer stay. It's less than five minutes walk from everything, and the five story walk up was charming and great exercise.

The apartment was amazing! Modern and clean in the heart of Old Florence. Awesome location. We didn't know it was 97 stairs up to the "penthouse" apartment before we arrived but we managed.

Great Stay - lots of stairs

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. Clean, AC worked well, good water pressure. Great location. Two notes: 1) VRBO address is not accurate but is close to the actual location, which was sent day before check in. 2) We stayed in the top unit, 5 stories up. It’s a long haul with heavy luggage.

Fantastic 3 days in Florence

Great 3 days in Florence. The appartment was beautiful and location could not be better. Yes there are a bunch of stairs to climb but it does not take away from the apartment. We did hear a bit of noise from the street down below, but nothing too bothersome. Would definitely stay again.

Description of property did not tell you that there is no elevator and a 97 step hike to apartment. Once in apartment it is a nice place. We had to wait for concierge to check in. Only about 10 minutes but it was 95 degrees outside. Location is awesome. So close to everything.

Good place in Florence

The property is clean, spacious, and was comfortable for the three of us. Rooms are good size, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is a bit small and okay, but challenging if planning to do a lot of cooking. Also, it was not stocked with anything (e.g. coffee filters, cream/sugar, salt/pepper), so be prepared to bring everything you may need. Also, it is on the sixth floor with no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of heavy luggage. But, it is one of the few places with an outdoor/rooftop patio, which was awesome. All in all, a great place right in the Center.

Great location

My family and I were very pleased with our stay. The communication preceding the trip was very helpful as we were able to prepare adequately. Our questions were answered within a timely manner and we were provided with the check-in details ahead of time. Very accommodating as our flight was delayed causing us to get in later than originally planned. The location is ideal; near to all the sights, many food options and great shopping. Also close to the tram that takes you directly to and from the airport. Our only challenge was the stairs. Narrow and a lot of them. Be prepared to get your workout in. In all though, we were very pleased with our stay.

Lots of stairs but beautiful space!

First of all, this apartment could not be in a more perfect location! You are STEPS away from the Duomo, great shopping, gelato, restaurants and other sites. The two downsides that we found were the stairs and the lack of kitchen supplies. The apartment is on the top floor, which gives you gorgeous views and a lovely outdoor patio, but hiking up those stairs is a challenge. The kitchen has the basic pots pans, dishes and silverware/cooking utensils. We like to make at least one meal a day in the apartment so having salt and pepper, olive oil, paper towels, etc on hand is helpful. Neither of these issues was a deal breaker for us, the positives of the apartment far outweigh the minor negatives.
