Getting there
From Richmond
Take the A6108 out of Richmond for about 4 miles and then take the B6270 to the right towards Reeth. Entering Reeth up the hill across the large green to the top and stay on this road as it veers to the left towards Gunnerside/Kirby Stephen. Continue for 3 miles, passing through the village of Healaugh, before entering Low Row.
Approximately 200 metres after the Low Row sign, there is a lamp post at the junction of a very sharp right turn, going back on itself sign posted to Langthwaite. Take this turn. Take care as the turning is very tight. Go up the hill for 50 metres only and you will see a pull in on the left. Pull in here. Make sure you stay on the gravel as the grassed area is very unstable.
You are now in front of 4 cottages. Moorview is the third to the left, it is clearly signed on the gate.
There is no parking for vehicles outside the cottage itself. We ask guests to unload belongings by pulling into the roadside outside Peat Gate House. We would ask you not to park on any of the verges in front of Moorview as these are deceptively dangerous and can be unstable, especially in wet weather. After unloading your car should then be parked either on the slip road in front of the church and pub or in the Lay-by on the road in front of the church and pub or in the layby on the road side opposite and below the pub which is just a few yards away.
From the M6:
Junction 37, head into the Western Dales on A684 towards Sedburgh and Hawes. Go through Sedburgh and still on A684 heading out of Sedburgh turn right after less than a mile, still on the A684 signposted Hawes. Follow this road for approx. 20/25 minutes and just before Hawes bear left signposted Hardraw and Askgrigg.
Go through Hardraw past the Green Dragon Inn and turn left signposted Simonstone and Muker via Buttertubs. Follow this road up and over the pass until you drop down into Swaledale. Turn right at the junction signposted Muker and Richmond on the B6270. Continue through Muker and Gunnerside.
The next village is Low Row. Immediately after the Punch Bowl Inn there is a lamppost at the junction on the left turn going uphill signposted to Langthwaite. Take this turn. Go uphill for 50 metres only and you will see a pull in on the left. Pull in here. Make sure you stay on the gravel as any grassed area is very unstable.
