Bright and spacious with splashes of turquoise and blue mirroring the clear waters of Carbis Bay below, this luxury penthouse apartment offers guests an exceptional coastal holiday home overlooking one of south Cornwall's most beautiful seascapes.
Inside you'll discover oodles of sumptuous space to unwind in with an open plan design to the living area creating the ideal layout for socialising in. Framed by views of the shimmering bay beyond and featuring stylish leather sofas, the space incorporates an amply equipped kitchen where whipping up anything from a humble sandwich to a lavish three-courser is a cinch. A fabulous dining area is great for converging around to enjoy the designated chef's creations, and on warmer evenings the sliding doors in the brand new kitchen can be opened to invite the evening breeze in while an additional table and seating makes the perfect place to indulge in hours of good conversation and a glass of bubbly or two.
Just a short stroll from the beach, the apartment is perfectly positioned for days spent paddling the waves of the bay or for lazing on the sand while soaking up the Cornish sunshine. And after a long day of salt and surf guests can de-sand in one of the penthouse's three modern bathrooms (including a luxury en-suite to the master bedroom) before retiring to bed for a night of deep and comfortable sleep.
Fairsky's four generously sized bedrooms are arranged on the upper two floors and include two kings (each with stunning sea views) and two twins with televisions. Airy and elegant with premium beds and high quality linens, they offer a relaxing sanctuary to retreat to meaning you'll wake up refreshed and energised; ready to make the most of another beautiful day in Cornwall.
Cornwall is famous for its delectable seafood and earthy produce and what better way to experience the delights of the local area than by a dining experience at the coveted Ugly Butterfly, just a short walk from Fairsky. Head Chef Adam Handling's new restaurant is the talk of the town with his flare for creating exquisite dishes from locally-sourced quality ingredients.
Fairsky is situated in a quiet residential area and is best suited to families or couples looking to enjoy a relaxing break near the beach. If your booking falls outside either of these groups, please get in touch before making your booking to discuss your requirements.
We ask our guests for a ÂŁ400 security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. Fairsky is a fabulous apartment- clean, comfortable, well equipped with fantastic views and easy access to Carbis Bay. The excellent train service into St Ives only takes 3 minutes.
We booked Fairsky as we were attending a wedding at the Carbis Bay Hotel- it was a terrific location- close to hotel & very close to station for trips into St Ives. ( property is actually at the end of the station car park).
My 2 grips about the property are;
1. The stairs! ( 3 flights outside)
2. The cleanliness. Whilst most of the apartment was clean, some areas ( sofaâs, floors, coffee machine were a bit grim)
( we didnât use the coffee machine)
but a quick hoover & wipe over & it was better but not really how you want to start a holiday.
To end on a positive- there was a bottle of wine, milk in the fridge & biscuits on arrival, thank you!
Have stayed in many apartments in Carbis Bay and this compares well (great location, ample space. excellent contact) except for some shortcomings. The cooker was not really clean (inside or out) while the Nespresso machine was fairly disgusting (I cleaned much of it - but then decided not to use it). Having the heated towel rails as part of the central heating is a very poor option for lots of wet towels (could not see how the washing machine could function as a tumble dryer). The upstairs bathroom hand held shower is not useful at all especially for teenagers so we all shared the other two showers (en suite, general). Couldn't open one of the windows and another wouldn't lock. Apart from that, a really nice place. Would be interested in Chy An Eglos next year I think (we need 4 bedrooms, location near the station, and as many bathrooms as possible!).
