Unité 507 - Unité East View Platinum avec laveuse / sécheuse!

Ce condo de vacances en bord de mer est situé à Destin, en Floride, le long de la côte d'Émeraude. Ce condo magnifiquement rénové a été achevé à la fin de 2017. L'unité aura de beaux carreaux de céramique tout au long. La cuisine et les salles de bain ont été entièrement rénovées avec toutes les nouvelles armoires, comptoirs de quartz, éviers, robinets, baignoire / douche et matériel. La salle de bain principale dispose d'une douche à l'italienne. Ceci est l'une des rares unités dans le bâtiment à avoir une laveuse et une sécheuse. L'unité peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes avec un roi dans la chambre principale 32 ', une reine dans la chambre d'amis 32' et un nouveau canapé-lit dans le salon. Cette unité dispose d'une télévision à écran plat et le salon dispose d'une nouvelle télévision intelligente de 55 pouces. La plage de Destin est à quelques pas et offre une vue magnifique sur l’océan depuis votre balcon privé. Vos vacances au Islander Condominiums and Resort vous attendent.

Perfect Location

The location of this property is perfect! My family enjoyed being able to walk right over to the beach. We also enjoyed the other amenities such as the pool and hot tub.

May vacation at The Islander 2024

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to The Islander many times and this year’s visit was wonderful as always. The room was comfortable with a great view, the staff was friendly and the weather was spectacular! The only negative thing was one side of the sliding glass door had been damaged last year in a hurricane and we could not see the full view of the ocean from inside the condo due to shattered condition of the glass- but replacements , we were told, have been ordered.

2nd time staying at The Islander

Easy in and out because of red light at Gulf Shores Dr.Close to everything: Dewey’s on Harbor, The Local Market, and Destin Ice House. We will be returning soon . Allan is always helpful with beach setup. Everyone we talked to has been vacationing here for many years.Well kept grounds and buildings. Only complaint was very firm bed, but did not hamper our stay at all.

It provided some laughter but it just took up space with absolutely no comfort for a normal sized adult!! That was disappointment.. Another thing was having to ask for our loyalty discount post check out following our trip back home when reviewing our final invoices.

Wonderful Stay!

When we walked in, we could tell it had been freshly cleaned and ready for us! It was a big plus having the washer and dryer in the condo to keep laundry up and not having to pay extra for the convenience. We all had a wonderful stay. Beds are a little worn and not very supportive. Could use better mattresses. The 5th floor gave a beautiful view from the balcony and master bedroom window! We will be back!

Beautiful property and condo

The unit was as advertised. Clean and with a spectacular view. Only item I found a little annoying was the toilet paper holder was loose so the roll kept falling to the ground. Otherwise, the unit was great! The only issue I had with the property was one of the elevators would bounce very dramatically several times when it reached the fifth floor. It made me nervous enough to make me choose to use the stairs instead if it was the first elevator to open. Wasn’t enough to disturb my vacation tho. Overall a great place to stay and we will return.

But couple of things that would have made it better is the bed was very uncomfortable and it was hard to sleep on in the master bedroom. It was very hard. I would recommend the owners to get a mattress that is medium firmness instead. Also there was not a Keurig machine for coffee and that is a popular item that people like to use. I would recommend getting one for the condo.

2 week vacation room 507

Unit 507 had everything we needed and great beach views. We had two great weeks and hope to return next year. Alan was great with the umbrellas and chairs as always !The pool seemed to have more sand than normal. We thought the faculty did not allow pets but this year saw 2 families with dogs - specifically saw a dog on leash being led out of a room. Just puzzled over that...didn’t know the rules had changed.

The Islander Unity 507 September 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have stayed at the Islander since 1988. Second time staying in unit 507. This year the living room furniture and dining area was new. Very nice and comfortable. The recliner is way to small for adults. The master bedroom mattress is a bit uncomfortable. Needs to be flipped or replaced. Gorgeous view of the balcony. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. All and all a great stay. Would stay in unit 507 again. The Islander in general is a great place to stay.

love the islander but..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had smokers on the floor below us, and it took days for the smoking to stop. Hopefully next year we won't have such a thing as we never had this issue before. The beds are still the same, they are very hard for us so we bring mattress toppers so we can sleep comfortably. It would be nice if the thermostat would go below 68 as well; as the bedroom seems so much warmer than the living area. But we choose to book again for next year all the same. Location, location, location.

Great Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice two bedroom condo that was clean and had all amenities. Easy walk to the beach and loved the beach chairs/umbrella. Beach chair setup was a bit weird; U-shape. Would’ve been better to spread everyone out. Would suggest a Keurig for the condo. I didn’t want to make a pot of coffee and have to clean it all up. I would also highly recommend a mattress pad or topper for the king bed. It was uncomfortable and hard. A simple mattress pad/topper would solve that.

Great vacation!

Everything was clean and nice. Only ‘complaint’ is The hair dryer provided needs to be updated as it barely worked and we did not pack our own as we were told one was provided. It was a smooth check in/out process. Front desk staff were very friendly. We spent our time on the beach- the attendant Allen was really great. We did have to go buy 2 additional beach chairs to use instead of paying for the beaches chairs through the resort, as that was pricy- you get 1 umbrella & 2 chairs per room rental and we had 4 adults in our rental. We never used the pool or hot tub but nice we had the option. The beach was so nice- soft white sand & clear water where we saw jellyfish, crab, sharks, and a baby seahorse. We will stay here again!

Little getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful location and spent lots of time at the beach. Unit was not up to par with the furniture or having stuff fixed. Open a drawer and it fell out along with wobbly towel racks. Fixed it right away but racks were still wobbly. Used the sprayer in the kitchen and wasn’t attached. Looks like it needs deep cleaning. We were in this unit a couple of years ago and washer still had buttons pushed in so touchy to turn on. A plus is the view of the gulf. Can’t beat it. Some great amenities and then some not so much

1st Family Vacation to Destin

We were so sad to leave and wish we would have booked our stay for a few extra days! The Islander is in a perfect location and the staff and management were so friendly and kept the property clean and refreshed every morning before all of the guest were up and about! The beach service was incredible and extremely helpful and friendly! It was so convenient to have private beach access, so we could just walk to the beach everyday we were there! Our condo was great! It had everything we needed for our stay to start us off on our vacation. The only down side was that our sliding glass door was shattered and not from us, so when we got there it blocked our view of the beautiful gulf waters from the living area. Other than that, we would have given this 5 Stars across the board! I would definitely recommend The Islander for your stay in Destin if you are looking for the perfect place for you and your family! Until next time Destin! We miss you already!

When we arrived in our room it was not clean, there were empty water bottles and dirt under the beds. Made us question the cleanliness and sanitation procedures of the resort. Also during the stay the common areas were very dirty. Elevator floor had black blobs on them. The room we booked said it included premium chair service, we found out that that meant you must be on the beach at 6 am stand in line until 7 ish to get a chair.. this was very counter productive for a vacation. We did have a great time and enjoyed the beach and the pristine emerald green water. The sand was beautiful and cold on our bare feet. Maybe we expected more for the price but maybe not cleanliness and sanitation should be a priority!

Only 3 stars unfortunately.

While the location and walk to the beach are undoubtedly 5 stars the condo itself was very disappointing. Side note-Alan-the chair attendant-he also gets 5 stars. Greeted with a smile every day once we arrived on the beach. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with what smelled like a herd of cats. Each day it began to smell minimally like “the beach” but due to the overpowering “cat smell” we had to wash everything we brought. One of the bathrooms still had 2 bars of soap on the rack indicating the shower hadn’t been cleaned. Yikes. Outside the other shower, there was some water on the floor. After wiping it up with a towel the towel was primarily brown indicating THAT bathroom had not been cleaned. Double YIKES. The kitchen had nothing to clean dishes other than running an entire load and when we cooked eggs one morning the spatula still had eggs on the end. EW. I know in past reviews there was mention of hiring a new cleaning company. This company definitely isn’t cutting it. Lastly, yes the sprayer attachment next the kitchen sink is still broken.

We will make sure to get with the housekeeping company about the cleaning issues so this can be resolved. We will make sure to reach out to the Owner's and give some recommendations for our future guest bookings. However, we are glad that you enjoyed the location of the unit being that it's very convenient for most guests to get to the beach and pools. We hope you will come back and see us soon!

The property is well maintained and the staff are friendly. I would have given our stay five stars, but the bed was very hard. This was our second stay and we plan on a third.
