Ellerthwaite Place - X3 Bed House with Hot Tub

Summary:
Ellerthwaite Place is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Windermere Lake District. Located on a quiet road, just minutes from the shops and restaurants of Windermere town centre, this home offers easy access to all that the beautiful exiting Lake District area has to offer.

The Space:
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is situated in the iconic Lake District town of Windermere. One of the two bathrooms located under the stairs and the main family bathroom found upstairs. The shared family bathroom includes a bath. All three rooms are equipped with linens and towels for all guests. Toilet paper can be found in both bathrooms.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials needed to cook a delicious meal including but not limited to an electric kettle, toaster, electric oven with four ring hob, fridge freezer, pots, pans glassware and utensils. Plastic glassware can also be found in the kitchen for use while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub. The open-plan kitchen dining area also leads to the rear garden through the backdoor that can be found just off the kitchen.

Guests are welcome to use the hot tub at their own convenience! We respectfully ask that guests do not use the hot tub between the hours of 11PM and 6AM. Within the garden, there is outdoor furniture including seating and a fire-pit-chimney that guests may use at their discretion. While we do not provide logs for guests, all fuel needed to make sure of the outdoor fire can be purchased at any of the nearby petrol stations.

The living room found to the front of the house has a Smart TV with apps such as Netflix for guests to enjoy. Along with a super comfy sofa and armchair, the front living room also has a log burning fireplace.

Guest Access:
Parking is provided for two cars to the rear of the house. Additional parking can be found as on street parking where restrictions allow.

WIFI is available throughout the house.

The garden is not ‘pet proof’.

The Hot Tub is only allowed for guests that are aged 16+

The Neighborhood:
Windermere is where you will find an array of café’s, bars, restaurants and quirky independent shops. Closest of all is the well-known Home Ground cafĂ©, renowned for being the best place to brunch in the whole of the Lake District.

Exploration and brunch over, it is then time to head down to Lake Windermere, found on the shores of equally iconic Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can again find more fantastic shopping and a thriving cafe and bar culture for you to enjoy. Rounding your afternoon off, take a leisurely walk along the glebe or, if you're feeling more adventurous a boat ride on one of the many lake cruisers, alternatively, hire a private boat for a more personal experience and live out any sea fairing pirate fantasies you might have had as a child.

Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is at the end of the road at the Windermere Library. Busses that stop at this particular stop travel on the routes 6, 555, 597, 599 and 755 – the most up to date routes can be found on the Stage Coach website. The main bus hub for Windermere and the surrounding area is the Windermere Train Station.

Windermere Train Station is the nearest Train Station and is a short 5-minute walk from the house. Lake Windermere is a short 5-to-10-minute drive away in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware that the hot tub is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age, and the tub should not be used after 11 PM.

Children are welcome, however, we do not supply a travel cot or childproofing!

Our garden is typically tended to on Wednesdays or Thursdays twice a month. However, please note that this schedule is subject to weather conditions and other external factors.

Perfect getaway

Long weekend with my partner, the house was incredible, much nicer than the photos do it justice. We had amazing weather and it was great to sit out in the garden with log burner on throughout the evenings and the hot tub was lovely to relax in.

Splendid find

In the heart of Windermere village, the property is delightful. The walk into windermere is minutes and 1.25 miles to bowness. The property is clean, modern and fully equipped. We all enjoyed the hottub one evening too

Home from home

What a fantastic cottage with everything we could have needed. Very homely and it was such a nice touch to arrive with the heating and lights on. Just a short walk into Windermere so was perfect for the whole family. The dog settled really well and our 6 year old son said it was the place place he'd ever stayed! The owner was super accommodating when we needed a late check-out due to the heavy snow. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back.

Nice property in good location

Property was as expected but some areas needed attention. Kitchen floor hadn't been cleaned, the work tops felt sticky in places and there were discarded bottle tops under the fridge door and half used bags of chips, pizzas etc in the freezer. The lounge was comfy but smelled as though dogs had recently stayed there. The hot tub area is nice but the water needs cleaning. Bedrooms were lovely and the bedding fresh. Great location, short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. I am a little disappointed at the overall cleanliness of the property but otherwise had an enjoyable stay

Lovely property, great location, nice stay

The property was lovely, the rooms were decorated to a good standard and were all of a good size. The house was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding clean and of good quality. Really enjoyed the stay and the location is superb. A few things could be improved, there was only 1 towel a person supplied, when you have a hot tub you need more towels. The front garden was also very overgrown with brambles across the pathway, and the amount of cutlery supplied in the property wasn’t enough. These were small things though and didn’t spoil the stay. It’s worth noting the garden isn’t secure for dogs, even though the listing says it will be in a few weeks, it said that in Feb when we booked and it still isn’t secure now.

Incredible location and property

The house is located a 2 minute walk from coffee shops/restaurants with a bus stop around the corner. The hot tub was amazing and the house is decorated to a very high standard. We would stay again
