Claife View - Parking, Balcony, 1 min walk to central Bowness
Claife View is found hidden on a quiet estate in the middle of the beautiful Bowness-on-Windermere - literally a stones throw from all the local shops and restaurants one could need. This apartment is on the second floor, with a balcony looking out to the fells in the distance. There is ample parking in a private car park.
It is within easy reach of the world-famous Beatrix Potter Museum and all the pubs that can be found in Bowness. An extra hundred meters, and you will find yourself on the shore of Lake Windermere.
The apartment is on the second floor with 2 bedrooms - one king-sized and one twin (2 single beds)
There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath
Parking: There is a locked parking area for guests to use.
The property was discribed as with parking. On arrival followed instructions for parking but there was no parking space available, contacted agent who said it was a known problem was told to park in public car park that was also full. After a 5 half hour drive, you just want to relax, not go looking for parking. It means every time you go out do not expect a parking space on your return.The flat could do with a deep clean especialy the cooker and hob, do the agents ever check it? The location is ideal, the flat is small and access is via narrow concrete steps, that would not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The parking issue means I will not return and willpoint this problem out to others.
Really handy location for the town. Well equipped and clean. Stairs to apartment might be a struggle if you're not fully mobile, but good work out!
Parking wasn't an issue which in Bowness is a bonus.
Excellent apartment - right in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere
Absolutely perfect for our needs. Very nice 2 bedrom apartment on 2nd floor with ample parking. Literally a one minute walk to the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere - the location could not have been better: the Co-op is on your doorstep and there is a selection of great dining (do visit the Flying Pig pub and Porto restaurant!). Communication from Andrew was spot on throughout our stay. We will be back and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
We found the property overall good but there were lots of cobwebs, bathroom wasnt as clean as we would have it and the floors weren't as clean as expected. Everything else was fine
The apartment was perfect for spending a few days in the lake district. It was beautifully presented with everything we needed. The location was perfect, plenty of lovely restaurants and a co-op right on the doorstep.
There is so much to do nearby, we enjoyed some lovely walks and great cycling. What a beautiful place!
We have just come back from our stay, we had a fantastic time and we highly recommend the accommodation and location. The facilities within the apartment are brilliant, very clean and modern, all that was needed for our family. The beds were really comfy and the bedding provided was lovely and fresh. Ample space for our family of 4, a lovely little balcony too and onsite parking. We have enjoyed our stay so much that we are looking to book again for next year.
A quiet residential area with only a stones throw walk to the hustle and bustle of central Bowness makes this a very unique property, perfect for both drivers and train-goers given it's free parking and short distance from local stations.
