Relaxing getaway

The property was beautiful and met all our needs for a relaxing family spring break trip. We loved the fire pit and dock for outdoor fun. The house had the space we needed and comfortable, clean furniture. Check-in and check-out was simple and easy. Thank you!

girls trip to deep creek

enjoyed every minute but since it was after labor day many resteraunts were closed. Played golf which wasn't far from the lake house. house was well stocked with dry wood for fire pit, kitchen had every utensil we needed.....enjoyed the peace and quiet

Great for families

Great for our two families of six. Clean. Comfortable beds and common space (family rooms and kitchen). Just the cabin/lake house feel I was hoping for. Beautiful path down to lake. Private community. Convenient to Swallow Falls state park and Walmart Supercenter in Oakland. Would stay here again. For owners: grill pieces are falling apart and barely produce flames. Wasn’t able to use.

Wonderful Home for a Family!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took our six adult children to Deep Creek for the first time and cannot say enough about this home. Spotless! And we all had plenty of space for privacy too. The management company was easy to work with and very helpful! The only complaint was that the TV in the family room had a "snowy" picture, so we all could not watch together.

Great house and location!

The spot on the lake is perfect! Very nice fire pit. The best pool table I’ve come across in a vacation house. Not huge, but very spacious and accommodating. The cons would be not even one roll toilet paper in the house when we arrived and the lawn around the fire pit was not maintained. It was not necessary, but it would have been nice if they had some 9 volt batteries some ware for the smoke detectors. Overall very much worth it!

Magical!!!

Magical cabin in the woods with all the amenities! When our outdoor plans changed because of bad weather, this beautiful cabin had plenty to do!! We made a big dinner, watched movies by the fire, and played cards and pool all while surrounded by the beautiful landscape. The huge window made it feel like you were part of the outdoors!

Excellent property with all the privacy you need. Very secluded natural setting. Great bass fishing right off the dock. Easy access to area attractions. Will stay here again as our entire group had a wonderful time.

Wonderful Stay

Property is exactly as described. Short walk via private trail to the water; perfect for kayaks/canoes. Beautiful home with a back yard/deck that has a secluded feel even though neighbors to the left are close by. There was a small mess on the side deck from the previous visitors dog, but otherwise the home was very well maintained and very clean upon arrival. I would definitely recommend this home.

Great Spring Break Getaway

The house and location were amazing! Everything was exactly as advertised in the listing. It would have been nice to know that the dock was removed until April, but we could have found that out with just some minimal research into Deep Creek Lake's regulations (all docks need to be out Nov 30 - April 1). The house was very clean, which is great to walk into and feel comfortable. Our only complaint is that the beds were very uncomfortable. Replacing the mattresses or adding those eggshell mattress toppers would make a world of difference for sleep. Overall, it was a great property and we had an amazing time.

Wonderful stay!!!

Our stay was wonderful! Everything was clean and beautiful and exactly what we needed for our family of 9. The views were amazing, and we were thrilled that it even snowed one day while we were there! We got to experience the landscape in both fall and winter. Only two items to note: * Initial communication with the property owner was odd. I asked a couple questions about what was provided (linens, towels, etc) and what small appliances existed (i.e toaster, traditional coffee pot vs Keurig, etc) and those questions weren’t answered until my second message. * The dock was either under repair or perhaps pulled up for the season. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Other than those minor things, this was a fantastic place for us and I can definitely see us returning.

Wonderful Memories Made

The house is welcoming and relaxing. This is our second winter stay. It has everything we need for three sets of adults and four kids. You'll want to bring containers for food storage and all basic necessities. We had to scrape the snow/ice off back porch both times we came. The front porch was cleared but with warm weather, we were able to go outside and wanted to take advantage of the the semi-lake view. I'd recommend adding games or puzzles.

Nice Visit and property but wish the fireplace would have worked.

We have been going to Deep Creek in the summer for a few years and wanted to try a visit when the weather is cold. I was looking forward to curling up by the fire with a good book. Unfortunately the gas fire place did not work. Needless to say that was very disappointing. A technician was sent to the property the second day without any tools so he couldn't repair it. He said they were scheduled out over a week until he could return. But the property is great and we still had a nice time.

Nice house but a little disappointed

Listed that there was a hot tub but there was not one. Struggled to regulate temperature in the house. Basement cold while the upper floors got hot. Snow storm hit the week we were showing up and property managers didn’t shovel or plow anything before we arrived. Overall satisfied with the layout and space in the house just a little disappointed in those minor details

It would have been nice to have a bit better view of the lake. We were surprised that there was nothing stocked in the kitchen. Past rentals have had basic spices along with salt and pepper.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thought the house was great and we enjoyed our first time at Deep Creek Lake. We liked the location and the house had plenty of room for our two families. Only suggestions we would make is to stabilize the dock a bit more (it was a bit wobbly getting on and off) and add a clothes line for summer months to dry off towels and swim suits. Our families enjoyed being able to be on the water to fish and swim. Would have enjoyed seeing the lake more from the house but we also enjoyed the natural setting of the location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good experience. House was very nice, clean, and well apportioned. Keyless entry code didn't work upon arrival, but with one call to rental company we were quickly given a new code that worked. Only complaints are that we couldn't find the hot tub key, and the private dock had been removed from the lake during our stay. Otherwise everything was perfect.
