Located in the beautiful coastal town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Riftswood @ Ruby is a recently refurbished, ground floor apartment with plenty of style. Perfect for solo adventures and romantic retreats, this luxury escape provides a comfortable base for exploring the North Yorkshire coast.
The Space:
The apartment features a cosy living room which is complete with a bold blue, velvet sofa, a TV with Freeview and a log burner. Ideal for relaxing after a day of fun by the beach, you can snuggle up and enjoy a night in front of the box watching your favourite shows.
Open the double patio doors and you’ll find an enclosed yard space. With outdoor seating for two, this is a sought after luxury in Saltburn. Start your day with a morning coffee outside or enjoy al fresco lunches in the sun. In the summer months, retreat to the living area and keep the doors open to let the warm breeze drift in.
The kitchen is ultra stylish with pale grey cabinets and light wood worktops. Crisp white walls contrast with grey brick style tiles to create a modern look. The stone feature alcove is home to a range cooker so you can prepare meals easily. Fully equipped for all self-catering stays, the kitchen is complete with a kettle, toaster, microwave and a coffee machine.
Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a tranquil space. Enjoy your nights sleep in the comfy King size bed which is complete with plush bedding and premium linens. Rich colours of teal and fuschia are added through the soft furnishings and retro chair. There is a black metal rail for you to hang your clothes up and a round mirror on the wall.
The spacious bathroom includes a bath, walk in shower, WC and vanity cabinet with basin. Beautifully decorated with neutral coloured tiles, powder grey walls and indoor plants, this space is perfect for relaxing.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
On street parking is available free of charge.
The Neighborhood:
Riftswood @ Ruby is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.
Located in the heart of the town, the apartment is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.
Riftswood @ Ruby is close to all local amenities including independent shops, bars, restaurants and bistros.
Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!
Getting Around:
Riftswood @ Ruby is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

Just what we needed
My husband and I and 2 small dogs really needed a weekend away by the sea! and this was perfect! newly refurbished, it was clean and had everything we needed.....and the location was perfect for the beach...5 mins and you are there! We are used to country cottages so we were concerned the street might be noisy but it was very quiet!! street parking is available- not always right outside the flat but it wasn't an issue for us. Would recommend!!

Great short break in Riftswood @ Ruby
Had a short break here from Thursday to Sunday, Saltburn is a great base for exploring this coast.
The accommodation is very close to shops and bars on a very quiet street with ample free parking.
Easy access to property as keys in box.
Once inside nice layout, could do with a blackout curtain to calm the light from the street light outside the bedroom but didn't bother us that much as we were tired.
The lounge area was comfortable but once again curtain badly needed to cover patio doors at back as property overlooked and with lights on leaves one open to being exposed on mid night visits to the loo if not covered up and forgetful like me.
Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom comfortable.
All things considered this is a lovely apartment and nicely furnished, the curtain requirements are a minor issue.
Would recommend a stay here and we really enjoyed our time.
Our dog Thea was also really chilled out here as well......thanks.

Clean property, well decorated and good communication. We encountered a few issues like bright lights outside bedroom window, no blackout blinds and noise from upstairs made sleeping quite difficult for us. Otherwise we had a nice stay and would recommend

The property had a smell about it. We subsequently found this was coming from the carpets. All if the cutlery and crockery was dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. The toaster was full of crumbs and so was the knife and fork draw. This could be a really nice property if the cleanliness issues are addressed. Very well located for the seafront and local shops etc. Car parking was a problem as there were no dedicated space. It was on the street on a first come basis. So you have the risk of not getting a space and having to search in adjacent streets for spaces. Not ideal with luggage and belongings.

Great stay
I think the place is great. It just neds a few slight updates. Privacy window/curtains in living room, moss to be cleaned in garden and mould and mildew in bathroom. I know I being rather picky, but it such a great place those things just let it down. I would definitely stay again

Lovely
Clean beautiful apartment. Needed blinds in the lounge as bathroom is at the back of house. Also no use able mirrors for hair and makeup. Very quiet and close to all amenities. Lovely independent restaurants near by.
