Summary:

Huntcliff View Apartment is a beautifully designed apartment located in a stunning listed building. Situated in the seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this two bedroom apartment boasts incredible views across the cliffs of the North Yorkshire coastline. You can enjoy all the town has to offer with just a short walk to the selection of independent shops, eateries and the soft sands of Saltburn beach.



The Space:

Beautifully decorated throughout, Huntcliff View Apartment is a stunning holiday apartment which has been recently renovated to the highest standard. Based within a listed building, you can expect plenty of character and charm. With a luxury yet minimalist style, the apartment features splashes of jewel tones and textures like velvet and rattan.



The apartment benefits from a large living room, kitchen and dining area. Ideal for spending time with your loved ones, you can snuggle up on the blue chaise lounge style sofa. Whether you’d prefer to watch the flat screen TV or take in the incredible views of the coastline, this is certainly the perfect place to unwind.



Huntcliff View Apartment has two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a Super King bed whilst the second is a comfortable double. Both rooms have a tranquil feel so you can enjoy your night’s sleep. You’ll also have gorgeous views of the beach and Huntcliff in the distance from the tall windows. If you would prefer the Super King to be split into two singles, this can be arranged for your stay.



The family bathroom features patterned floor tiles and navy panelling which gives a real vintage feel. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the freestanding bathtub or make use of the large walk in shower. The space is complete with a WC and Victorian style basin.



Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.



Please note the apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift access in the building.



There is free on street parking available and no permit is required.



Two high chairs and one travel cot are available for guest use at Huntcliff View Apartment.



The Neighborhood:

Huntcliff View Apartment is located in the centre of the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.



Located in the heart of the town, alongside the shops, bars, bistros and restaurants, with just a short walk to the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.



Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are truly stunning.



Getting Around:

Huntcliff View Apartment is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.



Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.



There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

Really enjoyable stay in the apartment. Even better in real life with stunning views! Everything worked, was clean abd very comfortable. Definately stay again!

Lovely place. Very comfortable and spacious with great views over the sea and of the cliffs. Well equipped modern kitchen.Just be aware that there are a good number of stairs to get to this 3rd floor apartment.Very responsive host with great communication.

Simple seaside experience with deluxe accommodation

Saltburn is the perfect simple & traditional family seaside resort with a glorious beach. The apartment is perfect & has a view to die for. Modern & clean with everything you need. The only drawback were the stairs - six flights can be an issue but worth it if you’re able to manage them.

Poor experience

We were very disappointed with the lack of response from the management company to issues which we reported on day 2 of our stay.These included:-Only one bathroom hand towel, toaster & oven dirty, no shaver socket, no instructions for the heating thermostat to alter times as we were cold, wardrobe mirror dirty.They did send a cleaner to attend to the dirty sink, kitchen waste bin, bed 2 radiator not working.Other issues we didn’t bother to report as it seemed pointless were:- pillowcase stained, bathroom extractor didn’t work.The entrance stairs & hallway were disgusting, with cobwebs, dust, rubbish & walk paper peeling off due to damp.Quite frankly “thanks for your feedback, we’ll look into these items” doesn’t cut it from the management company !All in all vastly overpriced & to be avoided. We won’t be back.

It’s clear that we fell short in both the condition of the property and the way your concerns were handled during your stay — and for that, we sincerely apologise. While we did respond to some of the reported issues by sending a cleaner and addressing the radiator, we completely understand your frustration that other concerns were left unresolved or dismissed. That is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we take full responsibility. We’ve taken your comments seriously and are conducting a full inspection of the property. The entrance hallway, heating instructions, and missing amenities will all be addressed as part of a broader review. Cleanliness and communication are two areas that must be improved, and we’re making those changes now. We’re sorry to have lost your trust and disappointed that your experience was not what it should have been, especially given the price point. While we know this doesn’t undo the frustration caused, we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so we can make meaningful improvements.

Apartment lovely but entrance filthy.

The entrance and stairway was filthy but the apartment was lovely. The 60 stairs to the apartment was hard going as there is no lift and no fire escape.

A superb little getaway

Arriving at this property was a special treat. A beautiful period building with the apartment situated on the 3rd floor. Don’t let the grimness of the common entry area fool you, the apartment was delightful - clean, very tastefully decorated, spacious and provided stunning views. It was larger and more impressive than I had expected from seeing the website photos and we were very very pleased. We didn’t plan to cook whilst we were away other than breakfast but the kitchen was pretty well equipped to cook a meal. All key facilities were in full working order including a washing machine and dishwasher. One little thing we found, we did not have enough coffee pods for our stay there or ground coffee to use with the filter that is provided. However, we easily rectified this with a trip to the coffee shop around the corner. Restaurants and bars are all within minutes of the apartment including a Sainsbury’s if needed. Our favourite position during the stay was sat on the chair by the open window, soaking in the views. It was breathtaking. The apartment provided the perfect base to explore the local area with parking available right outside. We found the Wi-Fi to be a bit hit and miss during our stay but we would love a property like this!
