Stayed there for 6 days. Nice small apartment with good kitchen on the 11th floor. Nice view of the ocean and the surroundings. When we were visiting, there was construction left and right of the hotel, quite noisy, but since we were gone most of the day it didn't bother us.
When we got there at 3pm there was no key in the lockbox, so we had to contact the agency (there was another guest who also had to call), that could have been a little better. Also, make sure you have a parking space in the garage (make sure there is no double booking! - happened to us and we didn't have a parking space after all, which was a bit annoying since we learned about it only 2 days prior to arrival).
Other than that a nice play to stay in Honolulu if you like the big city, not as many people there as in Waikiki.
Better than expected! Small space but has everything you need plus great views!! We really liked the area being away from the crowds. We enjoyed are stay!!!
This our third time staying in this building with this property management team over the last two years. Each experience has been great and we look forward to our next visit. Communication is great, rooms are clean, location is awesome. Parking was a slight issue this trip but not unexpected. A very beautiful visit.
Older unit but clean. Fridge did not work Property manager promptly responded to have it repaired but we refused due to tight schedule and also the fridge was not a must have for us
A/C was old and noisy but in good working condition.
Loved the property, loved having a full kitchen and loved the outstanding views. The twin sized blow up bed was very useful and unexpected. Stayed for 10 days and had several weather changes. Rain, very strong winds and perfect beach days. A few recommendations for the future. 1. Need new beach chairs 2. Need to supply a spare blanket 3. Less throw pillows.
Definitely would rent this unit again.
Property is accurately described, I agree with other reviewers-nice clean place, great views all around unit. If you want to sleep with A/C unit on that would be difficult because it is very loud and right by the bed (there is a fan which works just fine at night though). The shower head needs to be replaced asap and the patio chairs are almost falling apart. Great quiet building away from main city noise.
Clean with nice ocean views to enjoy without having to get out of bed. Great views of the park too. About a mile walk to get to Waikiki restaurants and shops.
We were very happy with our stay. As all the other reviews mention, the views are spectacular, and panoramic as well. The condo is comfortable and has everything you need. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom as well. The place is very small, but not a problem for us since we donât come to Hawaii to hang out in the room. We like this neighborhood a lot and have stayed in the area before. Itâs much quieter than Waikiki, and there is a lovely park across the street. Kaimana beach is a block away and is an excellent swimming beach. We would definitely return.
This is our second stay at the Diamond Head Beach Hotel. We were somewhat disappointed this time with the condition of the furnishings in general. The condo was very well equipped, the refrigerator needed to be defrosted and the Ice Machine in the hotel did not work. Other than that, you can't beat the location and probably will stay at the hotel again.
We stayed for the last two weeks in unit 1105 and it has been our home away from home. The views from the balconies are stunning, you get the amazing ocean view and the view of Diamond Head. For being a studio, there was lots of room for the two of us. The kitchen is well stocked and there are extras in the bathroom as well. The only bad thing I can say is that the hot water was spotty and in the morning it took about 3-5 minutes to get hot. However being on the 11th floor, it is understandable and that would be my only complaint. It was so clean and welcoming. There is a wonderful quieter beach only a 5 minute walk away and a beautiful park right across the street. We have fallen in love with Oahu and will return to stay at the Diamond Head Beach Hotel and Residences. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We loved the views of the Pacific from the patio and Diamond Head at the front door. Saw the full moon rise. Gorgeous. Nice common area. Would have liked some more staples in the kitchen, but I understand that I am a rarity in wanting to cook. I left olive oil for the cause! I would have preferred a better mask- no nose coverage and difficult to use. I appreciated the towels and extra sheets for the beach. Please consider some plastic glasses due to rule about no glass on the common areas. Very prompt with deposit refund. Totally recommend this place. Do purchase the parking. Very convenient and secure. Many thanks for a wonderful beginning to our Hawaiian adventure.
Aloha - Thank you for viewing one of our property listings - My name is Mark Howard, and I am the Principal Broker, President and Property Manager for Hawaii Americana Realty, headquartered in Waikiki. Originally from New Zealand I have made Waikiki my home because of the sun, surf and sand. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to stay in one of our vacation properties sometime soon. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have, and Aloha!
You'll also have access to our gorgeous communal gardens with sun loungers. There's also a communal patio area on the ground floor, ideal for out door dining when friends join you. Need to store a surfboard while staying here, not a problem, the front desk will find you a spot and combo lock for a nominal fee.
Bright and airy studio with full kitchen. Private lanai with ocean and Kapiolani Park views. The other side of our suite has amazing views of Diamond Head crater Beach Towels & Chairs included along with Boogie board. Full bathroom with shower tub combo. The unit has A/C though on this high floor having one window open provides a fresh ocean breeze.
