Modern ground floor apartment - family friendly, Benamara, huge pool

Ground floor apartment, fully equipped and suitable for sun worshipers, golfers, families and those who want a relaxing holiday. This apartment is spacious and has new and modern furnishings to make your stay there easy and fun, now with wifi and air con. Great garden with bbq and a huge communal pool only a minute's walk away. Benamara beach and the Salduna beach restaurant is just a few minutes walk (400m). Fantastic restaurants nearby too (Salduna, Vanity, Chilli Tex Mex, Robin Hood Inn, Senator Hotel to name a few!)

We are the owners of the ground floor and first floor apartments (both 2 bedrooms) so if you are a larger group or need more space, why not rent both of them? They have a connecting staircase and interlocking door so are ideal for 2 families or a group of 4 who would like their own bedrooms and bathrooms (see listing 8946285)

NB - the issue with the electricity tripping mentioned in the reviews has now been resolved (Feb 2017.)

perfect holiday apartment

We had a wonderful week in Banamara the apartment was spacious and has everything you could want. The apartment was clean and although didn't have A/C there are plenty of fans to use if need be. It is in a lovely complex although at 1st we were concerned because it is near a main road but this does not cause a problem at all. On site there is a lovely pool and some very good restaurants It was also a nice surprise that the apartment on arrival was well stocked up with important essentials i.e. loo rolls, washing up liquid,salt,pepper,oil, sugar,tea,coffee etc I could go on and on We can definitely recommended this lovely apartment

Some concerns

The apartment is a good size with a great shared pool but we had issues with the cleanliness and condition of the apartment which we raised with the owner on return. The owner accepted our concerns and offered compensation however we would suggest asking for a deep clean if you are allergic to pets.

I was disappointed to find out that there were some issues (primarily with the cleaning) on this guest's return. If they had been brought to my attention on her arrival, they could have been resolved immediately with an extra clean, and she could have enjoyed her holiday fully. The matter has been addressed with my property manager and cleaners, and the policy on allowing pets in peak season has been reviewed. Whilst I am sorry that the standards fell below what was expected on this occasion, I would have appreciated the opportunity to resolve them at the time, as I take pride in ensuring my guests have a really enjoyable stay at the property. However, all feedback has been taken on board to ensure the standards do not fall again.

Great apartment, fantastic location and great owner

We have recently stayed at Laura's ground floor apartment on Benamara. I must say that the apartment was fantastic. Very clean and spacious and a perfect location near the pool, restaurants and bars. Also, Laura was great to deal with. Nothing seemed like too much trouble and was always very quick to respond to queries. I can highly recommend this property.

Modern, spacious, & child friendly apartment

Stunning property with great facilities - above and beyond the norm - the owners have thought of everything, including an electric juicer for that freshly pressed juice in the morning! Super bathroom with fab shower as well as an ensuite. Comfy beds and great space to relax when having a break from the heat. Kids delighted by TV and plenty of seating. Large dining area too. Apartment feels very secluded with its enclosed and gated garden. Privacy whilst having all the benefits of being on a complex; kids can make friends, local shops and a stunning pool - again gated so no concerns about little ones. This was by far our most relaxing family holiday to date. Hope to book again soon!

convenient location

We stayed in this convenient, well maintained ground floor flat for 6 days. It had easy access to an enormous pool a few minutes walk away and my wife and I were the only ones ever to be in the water. (a bit cool but very refreshing). Also another few minutes on we were on the beach which as a small playground and bar and eating facilities. Many very good restaurants on either side of the highway with access to either side by means of a footbridge. Flat was just the right size and we could have accommodated another couple. Area has lots of open space and nice walking trails. Bus service possible to nearby towns. Overall good value.

Fantastic , beautiful apartment .

Just got back from the most wonderful holiday in this beautiful Newly decorated apartment . First impression was wow by all of my family . This apartment is spacious and has everything you need it really felt like home from home . It's so comfortable lovely comfy couches with a modern flat screen t.v to my husbands delight sky sports was a bonus . The kitchen has all mod cons . The bedrooms are beautifully decorated too with lovely Art Decor pictures . The huge pool is a couple of minutes walk away . And beach about 5 minutes. What is also nice is that there is lots of gorgeous restaurants in walking distance . A short 10 minute drive to puerto banus . If you are looking for a chilled holiday this beautiful spacious apartment is the place to choose . In all honesty this is the first apartment we have hired and not wanted to leave . We are definitely going to return to this apartment . I would just like to add that the lady Laura Shipley the owner was the most lovely lady to communicate with and kept us up to date always happy to help with any information we needed . Thanks so much for one of the best places we have ever stayed . Joan Antony & boys

Fantastic Apartment, Great location

Me and 3 friends spent a week in this apartment in May 2013 and we were thoroughly impressed with it. The apartment was lovely and clean when we arrived. It is very spacious which is great for 4 adults staying there and having two bathrooms was fantastic. It really was like a home away from home. There was everything we needed to stay in and eat on the few occasions we didn't fancy visiting the very local bars and restaurants or the short bus ride into Puerta Banus. There was a TV with English channels and we did spend a couple of nights in with a DVD (when the hangovers got a bit too much from the local measure of gin!) The apartment is a stones throw from supermarkets and some great bars and restaurants. The local bar had some great evening entertainment and the newly refurbished beach bar had some excellent food. This apartment was great value for money and I will definitely visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends. I look forward to visiting again. Thanks.

DIRTY, SMELLY & DAMP -DONT BE DECEIVED

This apartment is NOT as advertised recently refurbished - it is however damp, smelly and dirty. This is a de-humidifier that has to be kept switched on at all times to try to rectify the damp, this needs emptying daily. Both bedrooms have bathrooms attached (one officially ensuite) they both have really bad drainage smells and need re-grouting as mould has begun to come through. The entire apartment was dirty and dusty on arrival - in particular the lounge rug was covered in hairs and food particles and had not been hovered for some time. Both bedrooms were surface clean, but behind the bedside cabinets there was lots of dust and dirt. The fridge door did not close properly, therefore contents inside were going off very quickly. The bin lid was broken along with the camp bed. We were unfortunate enough to need the extra camp bed - which was years old and several slats were missing or broken. Our child slept on the mattress on the floor is was so uncomfortable. The bed settee in the lounge was also many years old and very uncomfortable. The owner advertises English Tv channels and Sky - this isn't true. We could only find one childrens channel that was in English with Spanish adverts - the music system is very old and plays cassettes, therefore we had not entertainment at all during our stay. The electrics were also shoddy and unable to cope with more than on appliance at a time, therefore insufficiently sized at the time of installation...don't think you can boil the kettle and make a piece of toast at the same time, it will blow a fuse!! The only reason we want this all to be brought to the next holiday makers attention is that the owner is unable to recognise any of the above faults with her own property and yet more than happy to claim we caused damages during our stay (including the state of the camp bed) for which we were NOT responsible and with held our deposit. Please make sure you take photographic evidence of the apartment before and after you leave and make complaints immediately or you will also fall victim to the same unprofessional 'scam' and have your deposit with held for the owner to pocket and make herself some easy extra money.

As the owner of the property I feel that a full explanation is required for this review. This guest rented the apartment with six friends during August 2013, and sadly they caused malicious damage to the property during their stay, which resulted in their security deposit being retained. Following their departure, a large hole in a cupboard door was discovered (I can only assume it has been kicked with some force,) an electrical socket had been pulled away from the wall, and several of the slats of the camp-bed were broken or missing. I accept that fair 'wear and tear' does occur, but this damage was wilfully caused - and I had no choice but to retain their security deposit to pay for the repairs and for a replacement camp-bed. At no time during this guest's stay was I (nor my on-site property manager) made aware of any shortcomings with the property. The terms and conditions of the booking clearly state that any issues should be raised immediately, so they can be dealt with promptly and resolved satisfactorily. If such issues had been raised during their stay, any shortcomings could have been resolved. The apartment is regularly updated and items are replaced when they have become worn or broken. My property manager is available to resolve any maintenance issues, and I have had several enquiries from guests who have loved the apartment and are looking to re-book next year. I therefore find it difficult to believe that the alleged issues raised in this review are any more than 'sour grapes,' and a deliberate attempt to cause damage to my business.
