Brooklands Cottage is stunning… just a five minute walk from the pretty village of Llanmadoc, this traditional Gower longhouse is beautifully presented with immaculate interiors for eight guests. Complete with woodburning stove and French doors onto the courtyard and lawn, this really is a house for all seasons.

Stroll to The Britannia, one of the best pubs on the Gower; The Britannia is a great place for a pint over lunch with amazing views over the Loughor Estuary. Get out and about and discover this beautiful area… visit Whiteford Lighthouse and the beach. Walk around the new salt marsh awash with wildlife at Cwm Ivy. Visit Langland with its pretty beach huts, great for kayaking, paddle boarding and surfing. Perfect for a family holiday.

Ground floor - gravel drive with 9 steps up to the front door.

Main lounge : inglenook fireplace with wood burner, 2 sofas, flatscreen TV, DVD player and double doors leading to rear courtyard and garden.
Sitting room: large sofa, flatscreen TV, DVD player, double doors leading to courtyard.
Kitchen/diner : large island, electric range cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Farmhouse dining table with seating for 8.
Shower room: double shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.

Ensuite: shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.

Pets : one welcome.
Accidental Damage Deposit : you may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver for this property. Where applicable we will contact you in good time before your holiday with further details and to take payment.
Notes: no smoking. Please be aware that the front and rear gardens both have drops from the lawn area so small children should be accompanied at all times. The sloped rear garden (lawned area) is set above a natural spring so at certain times of the year or during a period of prolonged rainfall it can become waterlogged, making it not suitable for use.

Excellent property and area but in significant need of a good clean.

This is a delightful Welsh longhouse property set in a lovely rural location. There is easy access to beautiful beaches and lots of great walks. The property is really lovely and well equipped, but we had to report the poor quality of the cleaning on arrival. We spent the first hour hoovering everywhere and the windows were absolutely disgustingly dirty having not been cleaned for a very long while. We had no satisfactory response to our complaints. Having said all that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay after sorting out the cleaning ourselves.

Fantastic cottage for a family holiday

Brooklands cottage is an absolutely beautiful property. It is finished to a very high standard throughout with a particularly well designed kitchen and excellent bathrooms. It is spacious and certainly plenty big enough for our group of 6 adults. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, we stayed in the summer but I can imagine it being really cosy in the autumn or winter months. The surrounding countryside and beaches are stunning. A great base for exploring the Gower Coast and surrounding areas. If you stay here, make sure that you pay a visit to The Britannia in the village - great food. Can totally recommend a stay in this cottage.
