Exactly what we needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Seamless check-in and out. Seascape was very responsive and great with communication. I wouldn't recommend sleeping on the pullout couch (pretty dirty) and the kitchen sink handle broke off early in our stay, but none of this deterred from the fun we had here! Would stay here again if needed.

Musty smell

Terrible musty smell in the condo, and not very clean. Needs a good scrubbing and updating. Beds are not comfortable and tv in master bedroom is the size of a computer monitor, very small! The dryer did not work very well, several runs to dry clothes. Location is great and Majestic Sun is overall a great place to vacation. The smell was the worst part!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: View was awesome, location was fantastic.Room was not so nice. Dated, air freezes up at 75 degree setting not the 72 it state on the thermostat . Makes it super humid and smells musty. Vents on the last few days where staining ceiling black possibly mold. Kitchen is not stocked well and items that are there are dated and cheap. Floor and baseboards are filthy. Very little provided in soap, dishwasher detergent r laundry soap. Tissue- 4 rolls for 19 days and it was terrible brand. Bed was comfortable but sleepy sofa was a torture rack. Box fan saved us from the temperature and humidity. Pool was crowded and cloudy.

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately I don’t have anything positive to say about this rental unit. We checked in at 4 pm on Sunday June 18. The AC was not working so after an hour of not getting any cooler I called the front desk and the person I spoke to said to give it more time and call after hours maintenance if it didn’t start working. Another hour later and we are sweltering. Spent a miserable first night. Despite multiple calls the AC was not fixed until the next afternoon. The unit is severely outdated and smelled bad. We ran the dishwasher which smelled really bad but no luck. Utensils are worn out and broken and the countertop is stained. This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Majestic Sun 0207B.

Disappointing room

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at Majestic Sun many times. Love the property and especially the location. But room this year was HORRIBLE. 207B. Don't ever rent that unit until COMPLETE renovation. Sofa was absolutely disgusting, very limited furniture, extremely limited kitchenware (better bring your own utensils), major painting needed on walls and trim. Other than appliances, unit seems to have had nothing done since the 80s (glass coasters say Destin 1984!) All furniture, which isn't much, looks to be from a thrift shop, third hand. No exaggerations AT ALL.

The unit could use some updating as there was some mold under the sink in the bedroom. It did have fresh clean carpet. The bed and couch was uncomfortable but unit was clean. Pool and other access key codes were not correct on the paper in the condo and luckily people shared the information.

Palm trees partially obstructed the view to the East, but they were lovely and it was nice to hear the wind blowing through them. We would definitely book this room again.

However, the last two rental has been lacking. These units needs to be refresh. The furniture smells and wore out from many years of use. The bed mattress is horrible to sleep on. We never used the kitchen, except for a cup and spoon. There was only a couple of them. I brought my own coffee pot. Again, the unit needs to be cleaned and refresh. But hey, we were there for the Beach and the view. Best on place to stay for that.

Seascape Majestic Sun - #207

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved Seascape resort and the amenities! We were originally booked in The Majestic Sun - #606, upon arrival we were going to be moved to Ariel Dunes 2 with no Gulf view. We worked with William and checked into Majestic Sun #207. William gets an A for handling this issue! Although we love the overall experience at Seascape, condo #207 has some serious issues! The master bath sink doesn’t work the handle comes off in your hand and no water comes out! The kitchen sink faucet doesn’t move so you can only get water on one side. The master bathroom toilet runs constantly and cannot be stopped! In general very few dishes, no pot holder no dish soap, etc. All in all Seascape gets an A, MS 207 gets a D! I would recommend the Seascape resort, I would recommend rented MS #207!

The road was very easy to walk across and I think that actually minimized the wall across the beach. HOWEVER, the condo was fair at best. Bare bones furniture, an outdoor metal table in the kitchen, horrible twin mattresses in the bunks, and DIRTY laundry room (we dropped the cap of the detergent beside rhr washer and said forget it because of so much dirt, dust, bugs/corners of all rooms has dust and dirt/ceilings needed a fresh coat of paint in the hallway.

Bed was like laying on springs and the tv was so tiny like a computer screen. Utensils to “use” aren’t that great, only 2 forks so you have to keep washing them.

First time, good time

However I was less than happy with the instructions to utilize the property and it’s amenities. The code that was included for the building was incorrect. I had to call the info center to get the correct number. Seems like there were several other folks with the same issue. Also it was not explained about the process to reserve chairs and umbrella on the beach. You had to get in line at 9 am at the rental shack and show your resort card to get a spot. Normally we were out at the water for the morning sun. 7-7:30.

Lovely to have store in lobby for essentials you can’t have on the plane. Severe black mold in reservoir of coffee maker. Just needs $100 worth of new small appliances (toaster and coffee maker). Would recommend.
