Stayed with my family of 5 (3 children) and we had a blast. The place was fully equipped, clean, and spacious with a beautiful view from the deck. Close to lots of outdoor activities as well! We really enjoyed it...thanks!

Great view ,
The view was awesome , however there was no central air and the temp was in the 90s. Called owner and was advised there were air conditioners in the closet . There was no hot water and had to call owner and was informed it was a breaker . No wifi at all .. ( although I was informed that the WiFi code was on the router .. but there was no router . Not so relaxing for us . Overall I give the cabin 3 stars .
This trip was just what the doctor ordered. The view is gorgeous and easily enjoyed from the big porch that has plenty of comfortable seating and room to share with friends. We were able to enjoy the outdoors all day from sunup to moonset from the porch and surrounding well-kept grounds. The house itself is welcoming and well-equipped and we were all very comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking peace and quiet with the option of myriad things to do if you so desire.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this comfortable cabin. It was fully furnished and felt like home away from home. The view from the porch was fantastic and we spent hours relaxing here and watching the birds.
Beautiful large deck with a large table and many chairs and a swing for outdoor seating. The deck is covered so you can enjoy sitting outside even if it's raining. The touristy towns of Asheville and Brevard are a bit of a hike, about 50 minutes drive to either, so don't plan a lot of back and forth to the towns. Pisgah National Forest is close by with popular attractions like Looking Glass Falls (amazing swimming hole) and Sliding Rock. It's about 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, I recommend going south for jaw dropping scenery.
The cabin is cozy with good sized beds and bedrooms and a full kitchen so it's a very convenient place to just hang back and relax if that's what you seek.
(Yes, the road up to the cabin is a primitive gravel road for about a mile but you have to be a die hard city slicker for that to bother you).
The stay was very nice. I loved being in the mountains, but I didn't expect the drive up to the house. It was a gravel drive, so it could have been difficult if we didn't have the car we did. After the initial trip up, it got easier. It was not a game changer. It was nice being so close to Pisgah national forest and sliding rock. Stephanie let us bring our dog and that was so appreciated. Overall, great stay.
This house has a spectacular view which our family enjoyed for meals. The owners are very friendly and left every kind of spice for cooking one would want. If you have small children, you need to watch them carefully out on the balcony as they could slip through the rails. Negotiating the road was difficult for us, as it is unpaved gravel and narrow.
My husband and I along my brother and sister in law are the third generation to call this "Bit of Heaven" home. We work hard on keeping the cabin in awesome shape as a tribute to our grandparents. We call it "Young Haven" and have spent the last 10 years adding more land so that we can keep the area peaceful! The reason we LOVE the location is that it is close to everything that is cool about the mountains. We are 12 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just over the Blue Ridge Parkway you will find the famous "Looking Glass Falls" and "Sliding Rock". You can be at the Pisgah Inn in less than 15 minutes and in the charming town of Waynesville in 20. I can make it to West Asheville in 25 minutes, 30 minutes to downtown and the AVL airport in 40 minutes.. It might take you a bit longer if you are not used to driving in the mountains! Did I mention that we are within a mile of the well known "Springdale Golf Club at Cold Mountain?
Nearby you will find tubing and flyfishing as well as antiquing and tons of great dining in both Asheville and Waynesville.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with an amazing view looking out over Mt. cabin is perfect for you. We spend most of our time in rocking chairs on the deck. This is our real family vacation home for the past 30+ years so you will find it fully stocked with everything you need. It is only available for rent when we are not actually hanging out there! We own 15 acres from our cabin down to the scenic highway leading up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Please note that there are two other guest houses on the 15 that disturbs your piece or has the view of our main cabin!!
Location, Location, Location! You can get anywhere you need to go in a jiffy. We love it here. We finally have both Direct TV and Satellite Wifi. You can choose to disconnect or stay connected!
