When we arrived, the front door where the key pad is located was wide open. Instructions from the owner indicated another box with keys. There was not. Owner was messaged about this. No response. There was no exterior trash can. The property is fine, but a little sparsely furnished on a couple things. No hand towels for the bathrooms and no kitchen towels, only a washable sponge. There were a couple extra pillows, but no pillow cases. The kitchen was nicely furnished as far as pots, pans, dishes.
The check in and information concerning the cabin was good. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the floors and the condition of the hot tub. We entered the cabin with wet shoes (from the rain) and when we wiped the floor to dry it, the towels came up filthy. The hot tub would not maintain a warm temperature, it was only 92 degrees, The cover was internally broken and white styrofoam chunks were floating in the tub. P.S. I complained (off the record) last year about the hot tub cover being broken in another cabin, obviously it didn't matter.
Me and my wife, we love the property and my kids. We had a good time. Everything was perfect and clean. We like the view and the Jacuzzi and the property.
The property was beautiful. Great location. Some frustration with cleanliness when we got there. Drain in master shower was completely plugged. My husband cleaned it out with a needle nose pliers. One of the beds had not been changed. Gritty dirt in the sheets on the first night but washer and dryer allowed us to wash them
The couches and bed was very uncomfortable. The photos of the property need updating. There were things that needed fixing like the master bathroom tub was cracked. Also the oven burner were broken which we didn't useuse. The
We very much enjoyed the location's mountain scenery and central proximity for our planned activities. everything we planned was within 20 - 30 minutes of our cabin. We spent time in Asheville (River Art District, Biltmore, Grove Park Inn), hiked Graveyard Fields and Fryingpan Lookout, horseback riding in the state forest, beer at Sierra Nevada. Overall an excellent time! Only downsides were scarce cooking utensils and a charcoal, not gas grill, but no charcoal provided. We managed fine.
We stayed in the cabin to be close to the Biltmore Estate
It was very clean. I was also impressed that they had name brand paper towels and toilet paper (the little things make a big difference). There was graham crackers, chocolate bars and marshmallow to make smores! I would highly recommend staying in this house/cabin.
We had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin! It was well-appointed and cozy, with a great location - close to Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, but still far enough out that itâs very quiet. The kitchen was well-equipped with almost everything you could need and the home was very spacious. On the whole, the house and linens were very clean, but there were some issues with the cleanliness under the beds (we found a bread roll that was not ours), of some dishes, and the washing machine. We did take advantage of the hot tub that was extremely clean and wonderful. All-in-all we would definitely stay again and appreciate the hosts for the use of their home! Thank you!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet. The cabin is indeed a double-wide trailer as others have mentioned and did need some maintenance such as fixing some broken slats on blinds, the faucets squeak with each turn, and many of the doors have to be propped open to stay open. But, it was very close to everything and the boys loved playing in the woods. The hot tub was nice on a chilly night once warmed up and the firepit was fun for smores if you dare to light a fire with dry leaves everywhere.
We couldn't find a lockbox with physical keys as instructed, so had to use the door keypad the whole stay, which worked fine.
Overall it was a nice stay, especially for what we paid.
This cabin turned out to be awesome. It was clean, had everything we needed including a sweet set to make sâmores. My self and family had a great time and it as so convenient to downtown. The owners were great!!!
Everything was clean and in order and the location was beautiful! I enjoyed all the nice touches like the fire pit, and sâmores materials the owners left. Also it was very quiet at night so we had no issues trying to sleep due to outside noise. I had seen some comments that the hot tub took a while to heat but it was already warm when we arrived so it didnât take any time to get a bit warmer for us. We loved our stay and would gladly book again if we are in the area.
Came to spend a girls weekend in Asheville to catch up. Nice, clean and good amenities. A little out of the way from actual downtown, but leaves you with a peaceful evening if you want to be away from the huddle and bussle. We all had a good time and would definitely consider staying again if we ever came back. Thanks for hosting! :)
Les points faibles : Emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce
Underwhelming
Overall it was not bad. But there were many little things that we noticed. The exterior doors did not close without using the deadbolt. The bedrooms did not have locks. The neighbors were pretty close. The faucets felt very cheap and creaky. No ice maker, but had trays. The dryer and iron did not work. The bathtub drain plug was broken and nasty. The well water had sediment. The hot tub took over 24 hours to fully heat up. The view was not as good as we expected considering the price and the pictures in the listing. The GPS was complicated.
We had a great vacation there. The cabin was cozy and clean. Beautiful location and views. Very close to the attractions we wanted to see. Downtown Asheville was wonderful and the Biltmore was spectacular.
