Such an amazing part of the world, and this cottage is perfect for enjoying it! Natalie was an amazing host, super helpful and kind and just overall a great host.
This was the perfect place for us and our two dogs to stay and explore the area. It was so quiet and peaceful. There were some trails near the cottage to walk with the dogs. It had all the amenities you could want and in a great location. The host was very knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
I was unable to enjoy the cabin due to a last minute medical issue. Friends of mine stayed and have said they enjoyed their week and were so grateful for the time away.
I am unable to rate anything since I was not there. I am guessing everything was lovely.
Tucked in the trees away from the hustle of city life, Kootenay Cottage is the perfect place for a quiet get-away. Natalie has created a cozy and welcoming space and Abby the dog is a lovely and friendly companion on walks. The cottage had everything we needed - comfy bed and well equipped kitchen but best of all is that it's dog friendly! Our dog enjoyed romping around the property and the close proximity to the lake. It's the perfect place to be cozy when it's raining and perfect home base for venturing out for hiking, kayaking or exploring other towns like Nelson and Kaslo. We would definitely stay here again!
Whole process was amazing. Natalie's timely communication leading into our arrival was perfect. We have an older dog who struggles and Natalie's accommodations were very kind. Her lab and ours became soul mates and played endlessly during our visit. Natalie respected our privacy yet we enjoyed her company. The area is tremendous and will require another visit. We had car trip days, beach days, hiking days and paddling days. Did not want it to end. Harrop-Proctor is a gem.
I had this property on my âFirst Choiceâ list for almost a year & I am so happy I went. Natalie is a five star host. Beautiful cottage, luxury bedding, comfortable furniture & well appointed kitchen.
Itâs away from everything, but close to cities and the best hiking. There were deer in the yard, right outside the door every day I was there.
I travel with my dog & this was the best trip weâve taken as far as dog friendly places to go. Natalie provides a binder that lists all the best things to do and notes if they are dog friendly.
This cabin has so many five star reviews for a reason. Iâm so glad I picked this as our spring vacation and I canât wait to go back.
I have been living in the Kootenays for 20 years and would be happy to suggest things to do and see or answer any questions you have about the area. I love to hike with my dogs and enjoy kayaking.
