Cet appartement d'une chambre, ensoleillé et tranquille de 30 m², est situé au cœur de la région florissante de la Bastille, mais il est niché dans une petite cour offrant intimité et tranquillité. "Le secret "est une fois que vous entrez dans l'appartement, vous n'entendrez aucun des sons de la ville.
Situé dans la rue animée et bohème de la rue De La Roquette, juste à côté de la place de la Bastille, vous avez le choix parmi des centaines de restaurants, boutiques, cafés et marchés. La rue regorge d'activités jour et nuit et vous ne manquerez jamais de nouveaux lieux à visiter.
Le magnifique marché en plein air de la Bastille est situé à quelques pas de votre appartement sur le boulevard Richard Lenoir tous les jeudi et dimanche. Alternativement, plus haut sur le boulevard Richard Lenoir se trouve le marché en plein air "Popincourt" chaque mardi et vendredi. Tous deux proposent d'excellents produits artisanaux de toute la France. Vous pouvez acheter tous les ingrédients les plus frais du marché français pour préparer votre propre repas spécial dans votre cuisine.

La chambre a un lit double pour 2 personnes. Le canapé-lit double dans le salon peut être ouvert pour accueillir 2 personnes supplémentaires et fermé pour créer un espace de vie.

Great location in the 14th ..

We loved walking and getting to know the 14eme in Paris. The apartment was clean and had lovely light when one opened all shutters. Bed was comfortable; we had everything we needed. Hostess is a perfect communicator and very responsive via text. Lots of small businesses around for good cheese, bread, staples and eating out when one wanted. We loved the choice.

Charming and safe

Nadia is amazing and so helpful especially since the building had no power and refrig/freezer from apt above started to drip in ours. Everything was resolved but she offered to relocate us if needed. Never felt unsafe and close to metro stop. Shower does have narrow opening & you step up a bit to get into it so keep that in mind. Place is on 3rd floor with winding steps (no elevator). A/C was great, also has a fan. Busy street with lot of food options. I would stay here again and would recommend staying here. Building is secured with a double entry door that you need a key for. Courtyard in pic where the garbage cans are it is only something you pass through, not someplace to sit. Outside pic of the place from street could be updated to give you a better view (right now its a gate with grafitti on it).

Lovely quiet apartment

The best part was the proximity to a wonderful bakery and to the metro station. The street is very lively, but since the apartment was off the courtyard, you couldn’t hear the noise. It had an air conditioner, but after the first night we were fine with just the windows open. Even though there was construction on the building, we weren’t disturbed at all. Although the apartment is small, it is well equipped. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful apartment in the Bastille District

My mom and I stayed in this apartment for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The apartment was pristine (very very clean). In addition, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pans, dishes, etc. Our host greeted us and gave us an overview of the area and attractions to do in Paris which was very helpful. The metro stop down the street was safe, easily accessible, and gave us access to all of the attractions that we wanted to see during our time in Paris. Would definitely stay in this apartment again on our next trip to Paris!

Bastille for the Olympics

We (myself and my two children ages 10 and 12) just finished a 7 day stay here during the Olympics. This charming apartment was absolutely perfect for the three of us. Washer/dryer was a necessity, and worked overtime as this was week 2 of our trip! The neighborhood is wonderful, and we ate dozens of pain au chocolat from the boulangerie across the street. The metro stop is literally steps from the front door. The apartment manager was incredibly kind - checking us in personally and providing wonderful gifts that really impressed my kids! She also made sure to check with us several times during our stay. Even my tween is raving about our stay - would absolutely book again in Paris!!

A Dream Come True!

I had been dreaming of traveling to Paris since I was a girl. Finally, my whole family found an opportunity to go. My husband, our daughter, and I loved living like a temporary local in a real Parisian neighborhood. Rue de la Roquette is a very busy street with a lively nightlife, but as soon as we were behind the many doors to our apartment, it was quiet and peaceful. The Cobblestone staff was out of this world. They gave us fantastic guidance, but were hands off enough that we could experience our Paris. In addition, I can not recommend the photo shoot enough. Ask the hosts about signing up for a photo shoot with David. The most fun we had in Paris was chasing the perfect Parisian light as the sun was going down. David took us all around town, with camera in tow. We saw things we’d never see on a tour. We had an absolute blast and have the best family pictures! I’m already dreaming about our next trip. ❤️

Appartement tres bien placé

Très bien situé avec plusieurs cafés / restaurants a juste à coté de l’appartement, ainsi que plusieurs « street food ». Très vivant, mais aussi calme grâce à l’appartement qui donne sur arrière-cour. Bon accueil et communication avec le locataire, propre en bien aménagé. Nous sommes restés une semaine, et je ne trouve vraiment rien à reprocher

Great location and setup for a long stay

We stayed at the apartment for 3 weeks and found in conveniently located and set up nicely for the long stay. The washer/dryer was particularly helpful, as was the separate bedroom, plenty of clothes storage, and dining space. Nadia was very helpful in getting us set up and recommended nice restaurants nearby. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the ongoing construction to the atrium access to the building and stairwell needing further repairs.

Cozy, quiet, convenient

Great location, quiet, sparkling clean, lovely decorating, felt like we were neighbors. Great guide books which we used everyday. We walked over 12K a day and bed was comfy. Close to bus lines and metro, market and bakery, restaurants and amenities. Wonderful service and responsive to questions on the app, able to leave bags last day and pick them up later. I will stay at another Cobblestone location next time I’m in Paris!

Charming apartment

The property is charming and is located in close proximity to transit and within walking distance of some major attractions and pretty much everything you need is steps away. There are 37 well worn steps up a spiral staircase which I hadn’t realized when I booked it as I had been under the impression it was on the ground floor. I do have mobility issues but with the help of friends was able to navigate. Consider that if booking. The property is clean and has everything required to make your own meals. It is also pretty secure with electronic code and key fob access before you even get to the apartment which is double locked.

Cute but small. Shower is small. They should put a comfy chair in the living room since there is only a tiny couch. Overall nice , clean space. Bed should be replaced, very lopsided.

Everything was clean and the location was great!

The location can not be beat. Very close to the Metro. Even though it is on a busy street, it is so quiet inside that we all slept wonderfully. The home was also very clean.

Beautiful Parisian Apartment

We enjoyed our stay in the Bastille area apartment. The space was small, but it fit our needs. It was well stocked with all that we needed and in a very convenient location just steps from the metro. The only thing we had to get used to was the lack of AC, which is typical in Paris, but not what we are used to. We were also there during one of the hottest times of the year. It did cool off at night, thankfully and fans were provided.

Fantastic value & location

This is a charming property in a vibrant neighbourhood. Lots of great cafés and restaurants within walking distance, fantastic market nearby, super close to metro but surprisingly quiet. The only drawback was that it was very hot, even with the fans in the apartment.

Perfect place to stay

We loved how quiet the apartment was (even though we read the description of the apartment, we were absolutely shocked at how quiet it was when we got in off the busy and loud street). We adored the charm of the apartment and how it *felt* like a Parisian apartment (which is essential, since with young kids, we are in our place once they go to bed around 7:30pm). The proximity to everything we needed (groceries, wine, bakery, metro, etc) made staying here the perfect location. We really enjoyed the free river cruise, the welcome bottle of wine and chocolate. It was such a personal and welcoming touch. If we ever come back to Paris one day, we will 100% stay in a Cobblestone rental.

Le Secret Du Bastille.......La Perfection!

The greeter was friendly, informative and amusing. The apartment, the amenities and the location were perfect. The apartment is cozy and quiet; a welcome respite from the frenzied (but amazing) first few days in Paris. In no time at all, it seemed like home. The apartment is a few steps away from the Bastille Market, Starbucks and the Metro. Most of the usual tourist destinations were within walking distance or a quick ride on the Metro.

You really can become a temporary local here.

The apartment was fully furnished and well-stocked as advertised, and just as charming, comfortable and convenient as it appeared to be on Cobblestone's website. We loved its great and vibrant location, which allowed us to make multiple forays into the city each day by Metro and on foot, often returning to the apartment for lunch before setting out again. A well-connected Metro station is just down the street. The ability to shop locally (there's a great market a block or two away that’s held twice a week) and to eat at home saved us some significant bucks. The apartment was secure and quiet (again, just as advertised), and really helped us feel like we were temporary locals. We are now totally spoiled for any future visits to cities where we are staying more than a couple of days. The reassuring booking process, the thorough email communications and the wealth of detailed information available in advance and throughout our stay were greatly appreciated. Cobblestone's customer service is excellent every step of the way, which is pretty refreshing in a world where too many companies who are providing a service have forgotten its value and importance.

Perfect Apartment in Great Neighborhood

My husband and I stayed at the Secret du Bastille on our visit to Paris for my birthday and loved everything about it! First of all, the location is perfect! Because the apartment is located in a quiet courtyard, you'd think you were miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but no -go through the courtyard and everything is right outside your door! The Bastille neighborhood is a bustling, busy neighborhood and shops, cafes, markets, and easy access to the metro greet you as you step outside the cute red door onto the street. Secondly, what you see in the pictures and in the description online is what you'll get. I had hoped that the place would be half as cute as it looked online and I was not disappointed at all! As a matter of fact, I didn't even bother to take additional pictures to show friends of the inside of the apartment, because it looks exactly as it does on the website. It was also pristine and well-appointed - The owners have definitely thought of everything when it comes to what a visitor staying in a Parisian apartment would want to experience and included a bottle of wine and some chocolates sitting on the table to welcome us when we arrived. Obtaining the keys was also easy. Because we didn't have them arrange a ride from the airport (although they would have), the manager of the property met us promptly at the place that was designated, showed us around and made sure we were comfortable. Within a day or two, we felt as though we were truly living in Paris I've already recommended this apartment to friends and family - It's a great place to stay when visiting Paris. We'll definitely stay here again if we get a chance to get back to the City of Light!

Nice! Comfortable! Convenient!

- Home was close (hop, skip & jump) to the Bastille train station and all the Bastille, Marais action - Excellent service by Cobblestone thru'out. A very big call out to Lauren who met us on time, was very responsive to emails and also, gave us the "lay of the land" so we could enjoy our stay in Paris

Excellent accomodation solution in Paris!!!

Since the planning phase of our trip we thought that to find a decent and affordable solution in Paris was very difficult...then we found this cute, clean, comfortable, well-located and affordable apartment in the heart of Paris. Since the first steps of booking everything was so easy and clear as never before in our experience of travelers. The great opportunity to be able to book a dedicated shuttle from CDG to the location at very competitive price was amazingly helpful for the easy beginning and relaxed ending of our trip. Then the meeting with Cobblestone representative was so pleasant like the discovery of the apartment itself rich of all the attention and amenities and the atmosphere of a very warm welcome we found during the entire journey. We strongly suggest this solution if you need comfort, well organized facilities and friendliness during your stay in Paris.

Perfect Place for a Parisian Getaway!

Le Secret du Bastille is the perfect place for a parisian getaway! We were 4 adults staying in the apartment which is small, cozy, very clean, and centrally located. The apartment has all the amenities you need: washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, all cooking utensils, iron and board, hairdryer, bed sheets, towels... everything! The only two negatives are that there's no AC, therefore summer months could be challenging, and the shower is very small especially for big guys. Other than that, the place is perfect for 4 people. The metro is just 1 block away from the apartment and the area has so much to offer... shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, street markets, and more... The cobblestone staff was very helpful and was always available for any questions. They are detailed oriented and very nice. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Paris. We are very happy with the experience and are looking forward to staying at Le Secret du Bastille again! :)

Perfect Paris Palace

What a wonderful place. Stayed for 3 nights, couldn't have been happier! Despite being very late on arrival and not having a working phone the owners, Monique and Louise were patient, friendly and helpful. Really great location, friendly area, close to the markets and a station. The apartment was fantastic, everything we could have hoped for and more. Such a joy to be able to have our French friends over for dinner (in an apartment twice the size of theirs :-) with a lovely view. I will never stay in another hotel, thats for sure. Highly, HIGHLY recommended !

Better than Expected !

Merci to Jennifer and the company Cobblestone Rentals. This apartment was very nice home for my visit to Paris. I have never put a review before but I think that this apartment should be praised. The market three times a week brings the best fresh vegetables, foie gras, cheese, and smoked meats from the countryside. My wife is an avid cook and she was in a culinary trance every time we went to the market. She refused to do her shopping at the supermarket after our first visit to the street market that was just outside of the apartment. We were met with a personal greeter at the apartment and she gave us a very detailed explanation of how the internet worked and explained how to use the telephone to call our family in the Canada. We took the cobblestone shuttle to come from the airport, and it was alot easier than the metro or the train would have been because of our luggage. We were also very tired upon arrival, so the shuttle was very convenient. We also took the river cruise that Jennifer reserved for us. This was a great way to see the city from the river and it was very romantic. We did not have to wait in line because we already has received the tickets in the email. We cannot say enough about Le Secret du Bastille, it was comfortable, lovely, and just as good as the photos. We thank you and send a big MERCI ! from Montreal.
