Great location and quiet place with river view, Good security. Few minutes walking to many supermarkets like waitrose and morrisons. Excellent home appliances.
Overall an excellent property. Very well equipped in the kitchen area with generous worktops, good quality appliances including separate fridge and freezer, easy to use cooker and freestanding microwave. Overhead cupboards for plates etc are a bit awkward to use as they wonât stay open but thatâs a minor quibble.
Washer/ dryer housed in a separate cupboard is a plus point.
I would have preferred a shower cubicle rather than a shower over the bath but thatâs maybe an age thing.
Having a separate bedroom is a real bonus. Plenty of hanging and drawer space. Mattress maybe a wee bit soft.
South facing windows let in lots of light. Places to sit outside, very few people going past.
Definitely the best apartment Iâve stayed in over the last few months.
The apartment was as expected however the main problem was car parking. The information pack that is supplied by 'Stay York' suggests the closest car park is Shambles Q Park which isn't correct. Having taken this information at face value and having pre-booked with Q Park and paid pennies short of ÂŁ70 for 3 nights parking it was extremely disappointing to find that parking was available outside the apartment block. Admittedly the charges would have been similar to that at Q Park however it would have been more convenient given that the walking distance of approximately 500 metres from the apartment to the car park caused a lot of discomfort in my ageing joints.
