Wonderful View

We loved our stay in Porto Ercole! Enrica was wonderful to work with and what a view from the balcony! Her home was lovely and if we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay there!

Peaceful, coastal escape!

Incredible hosts and beautiful sea views! Great property on all levels! Parking can be a challenge, but 5 star review in every other way! Everything we needed was provided.

Porto Ercole Stopover

From beginning to end Enrica was extremely helpful. The house gave us everything we were looking for - living in amongst the locals, amazing location where we could walk to bars and restaurants and incredible views across the Marina. We enjoyed a very relaxing time. Being situated in the Old Town, parking is approximately 700 meters away at a cost of 10 Euro per 24 hours.

Rustic 2 level accommodation

My wife and I spent 5 nights in the quaint dated apartment but it was perfect and had a cottage feel to it. It was very well equipped and was in a great location with a bus stop within 2 minutes. From here you are free you travel as the buses were very reliable. There are also many restaurants within walking distance which offered great food. The hosts were amazing to deal with as well which made our experience top notch. We recommend this location if you are in that area.

Lovely apartment, great views, quiet but convenient location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Porto Ercole in this lovely apartment. Well equipped and comfortable for our family of four. We had the good fortune of arriving during the start of the nativity scene performance - WOW, what a fantastic community effort! After the show it was a lovely quiet neighbourhood. We cooked some meals and also walked to the waterfront restaurants. We did have a car so drove to sight see elsewhere although it is possible to walk to one Spanish fort from the house ad walking around the old town was interesting. Parking was convenient, just up the hill from the house. Enrica was lovely to deal with. All and all a fabulous place to stay in a lovely small town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

PERFECTO!!!

We LOVED Enrica's apartment. It was simply perfect for enjoying Monte Argentario and as a seaside base for visiting Southern Tuscany's hill towns and wineries. You cannot beat the apartment's location! It's just abo/ve the lovely Piazza Santa Barbara, handy for loading & unloading luggage (although you cannot park there for long). The apartment's patio has a gorgeous view of the sea from which we enjoyed many breakfasts and sunsets. A five minute walk down the road and we were in the harbor, enjoying the small promenade of restaurants and shops. Porto Santo Stefano and Orbatello are just a short drive away and.we went to both several times for dinner and to take the ferry to Giglio for the day. Simply perfect. The apartment was well equiped and the decor tasteful and sweet. Since we were 2 couples, the 2 bathrooms came in handy. Our bedroom was spacious with an additional baclcony and that same breathtaking view of the sea. The second bedroom is very tiny and has bunkbeds. The only negative was parking but we often found open metered spaces on the road beyond Hotel La Roqqa. Enrica had graciously found us a paid parking lot on the other end of town but we preferred the closer street parking. Enrica and her family were lovely and communacative from start to finish. They clearly love the place -- Enrica's father reconstructed the building after it was destroyed in WWII. It means a lot to them. Grazie, Enrica!!! We can't wait to return!!

Great comfort with the best view in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Enrica’s. The place is very comfortable, charmingly decorated, and well-furnished. The view and the sea breeze can’t be beat, and the location is quite close to all the necessities. Enrica is easily reached and always helpful. Drawbacks for some may be the inability to get a vehicle close to the door, and the need to pay for parking. Be sure to establish your checkout time in advance. We would definitely return to this cozy residence again. Thank you Enrica.

Unschlagbare Meersicht

Super Lage mit wunderbarer Aussicht (einfach leider ohne direkte Sonne Anfangs Oktober). Wohnung ist schön und gemütlich, Küche und Bad etwas veraltet und es war leider nicht so sauber. Trotzdem eine gute Gesamtbilanz.

Home from home

A beautiful duplex with a sensational sea view, situated in the old town overlooking the harbour. Well furnished and cosy, ideal for a couple or a family with two children. The main bedroom is spacious with an amazing sea view from the double doors leading onto the upstairs balcony. The second bedroom is much more essential overlooking the narrow pedestrian backstreet. The kitchen and the two bathrooms are vintage, functional and well equipped. All very much in keeping with the "old town" atmosphere. The living room is very pleasant with double doors leading onto the balcony below the main bedroom and with the same view. The balcony is furnished with a small table and two chairs that we used frequently for an aperitif after a day by the sea or for dinner in the cool summer evening. If only we could capture the experience from the two balconies and take it back home with us... Paradise found! Check-in and check-out worked perfectly and the hosts were very obliging and accommodating during our whole stay. We felt very at home. The old town is a quiet residential area overlooking the harbour , with a labyrinth of narrow streets that climb the sea cliff. The apartment is north facing, so it remains cool during the hottest summer months. We stayed in August and we did not need to use the air-conditioning once during the whole week we stayed. Parking in Porto Ercole is not the easiest thing to find but our hosts suggested off-street paid parking a short walk outside of the old town. It worked well for our needs. Did we have a great holiday? Yes Was it as we expected? Yes Would we go back? Yes Would we recommend it? Yes Beaches or boat? To truly appreciate the coastline and a seaside holiday on Argentario we suggest you hire a boat for day trips rather than climb down to the crowded small bay beaches. Thank you Enrica! You were a perfect host.

Dario has been the ultimate perfect guest. I often find guests who like the house but it is rare to find somebody who really gets in touch with the heart and soul of both the old town and the house itself and this is something that matters to me as this property is part of my family since the 50's when my father built it, and we haven't changed much ever since. since the check-in he has been supernice and understanding, cleanness was impeccable after the staying and the review he wrote is most accurate description ever so much that I should probably copy/paste it… he even left a surprise present we appreciate so much, me and my husband were overwhelmed! if it possible to award six stars to a guest, then Dario would be a seven stars guest.

Porto Ercole- best view in town...

Dear Enrica and Frederico, Again, thank you so much letting us stay in your lovely home. So laid-back and comfortable. And with the best view in Porto Ercole. Being in your appartment was a blessing. Just to wake up in the morning to the sound of the fishingboats leaving the harbour. Well, the balcony doors were wide open all day. Porto Ercole was such a friendly place, we also found the restaurants and the bakery. And the beaches, where we had a nice swim - in October! Well, the place is still on our mind, and we look forward to come again. All the Best Sven and Annelie from Stockholm

Very nice flat with wonderful view

We had a very beautiful week in Porto Ercole. The flat is in a very quiet location and has a nice view to the harbour. Everything worked well and the communication with Enrica was always very quick. The area offers a lot of activities.

Great location in old Porto Ercole town

We enjoyed our stay and Enrica our host was so helpful, even arranging a taxi to pick us up from the station. The apartment, housed in historic buildings has a fantastic harbour view and we often sat on the balcony in the evening to enjoy it. It's a short scenic walk down the hill to the harbour and sea wall or the main village and the cafe's, bars and restaurants.
