The location, 3 minute walk to the beach, was great. The beach was never crowded in the 6 weeks we were there. The property manager, Georgina was very helpful. The downside of the property is the kitchen. The refriderator is fine, but the dishwasher doesn't clean things well and the stovetop needed repairs which took almost a month. The glassware is almost non-existent, the silverware is poor and the cooking utensils are worn out. There needs to be a couple of sharp paring knives (there were none) in addition to some better cutlery. Finally, at least 4 lights did not work at all and the overall lighting is poor for reading.

We stayed 5 days at the Bendita house and everything was great. The house has everything you need. Lots of towels, linens, pillows etc. The kitchen is well stocked as well.
In the morning we would see monkeys in the trees and so many birds and butterflies. The beach was a few steps away and our 10 and 11 year old loved it. The tide pools were so interesting and the ocean warm. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The waves were a bit big at times, but we wouldn't go in deep.
Georgina, our house manager, was absolutely incredible. My brother had to go to the emergency room, because of a burst appendix and Georgina helped us so much with that.
If you are looking for a quiet place, this is it!!!
The location is great for an almost private beach just a few steps away. The house is nice, we had quite a few spiders & scorpions inside which we took care of. The kitchen is ill equipped. The local neighbors are pleasant. Neighborhood dogs bark incessantly and some are aggressive. We had several appliances not working properly and the house manager had them repaired. The pool did not work the entire 3 months we were there. As hot as it is a pool is a must. Villa Linda, next door, has a new in ground pool, itâs a very nice rental also.
This cute little property was accurately depicted and was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The beach is very close and very secluded. It is not really a surfing beach but a fun wave is just short drive away. Georgina was very responsive and helped coordinate fresh fruit and vegetable delivery. We also found that a fresh bread and pastry truck makes regular visits down the street. Junquillal is a rural community but we found plenty of good restaurants and grocery stores. We spent a month at this home and will cherish the experience.
We loved our stay. The house is beautiful, the beach astoundingly close, and the neighborhood is accessible to tourists without being the least bit touristy.
We found the house clean, with a lovely double-height kitchen and large bedrooms (the master bedroom on the second floor is luxurious). Georgina, the property manager, is fast to respond. No views of the beach from the house, but it really is just steps away.
And the beach is the reason to come. Though there's a few eco-lodges and more popular spots a half mile down the road, no one ever made it to our stretch of beach, on account of a rocky outcropping that separated us from the lodges. The result: most days only one or two people in sight along a mile stretch of magnificent coastline. I collected seashells and went on long walks, my son took to running every morning.
There are a few good restaurants around, too. We especially recommend the Guacamaya Lodge for lunch & the Eco Lodge for a sunset drink. Though we came with vague aspirations of hiking and exploring beyond the immediate neighborhood, it became apparent that the good hiking was all over two hours' drive away. No worries, though, the beach was more than enough for us, especially after a visit from Juan Carlos, a local fisherman, and his tons of fresh, cheap tuna.
Highly recommend!
