Great place to stay, definitely recommend and the hosts are very kind and helpful. Will note if you stay there, definitely follow the written instructions they left. Do not just follow your Google Maps because you won’t get there, lol. Overall we enjoyed everything about being there and have no complaints.

Everything was perfect. We had direct access to the river and spent most of our trip fishing (but not catching) and playing in the water. Middle of October so it was plenty chilly. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances. Knives weren't dull (a constant with rentals like these) and we had no trouble cooking for ourselves. Porch was about perfect. Pretty sure I wore a rut in the chairs sitting out there. I do advise that you make it in during the day. Have a confident driver take you down as it gets tight at times. And try to make sure you get enough supplies. You don't wanna be going in and out. We were down for the Apple Fest and traffic is kinda crazy in the morning but cleared out decently around midday. You're right around the corner from it though!

Loved the peaceful atmosphere. The cabin was very nice. We would sit on the porch every day and enjoy the calming stream. Loved seeing the deer and turkeys every time we left the cabin. Brian and Cindy were excellent hosts!

I absolutely loved the location. If you're looking for solitude, this is the spot. The river water was refreshing, clear, and clean. I enjoyed my stay and will likely do more solo trips in the future here. My only note to add: If you're in an 4 door F150 or similar you will need 4WD (H) due to the gravel and it will take you an 8 point turn on the edge of the river bank to back in the driveway so that you can pull forward when exiting the property. So know what you're doing. I would not recommend taking anything larger than a 4 door truck.

This cabin is located in a large resort area. It was nicely situated on the River, very private, with neighbors near, but out of sight. It’s a bit of a trek by car getting back to the cabin, but no difficult or challenging roads, just a bit of gravel near the end. You’ll find everything you’ll need at the cabin. It is superbly equipped and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The owners are super responsive to any needs. Lots of things to do and see nearby. It was a great long weekend!

The neighbor downriver running the air compressor most of the morning was kind of annoying. Generator running up room for a couple of evenings also annoying. In the rocky road running uphill out was a bit of a challenge

If we had known, we could have reached out to handle. In the heavily wooded area, most properties have generators (as do we) that kick on in power loss situations. Great cabin, great location, pretty private with only 1 cabin past you almost zero traffic. The owner, Cindy's, turn by turn directions were spot on to get you right to the front door. My only complaint would be the neighbor next door (last house) has driveway , lights and house lights , they never turn off.

The hosts Brian and Cindy were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and went far above and beyond for us! Fantastic log cabin (situated right on the water) was well maintained and beautifully decorated in true rustic style for mountain top living! Highly recommended stay!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Coldwater cabin is secluded, comfortable and clean. The poarch overlooks the river; the ideal place to relax to sounds of nature and the gentle rippling of the water. The location is close to shopping, hiking and the Blue Ridge Railway. The perfect place for the perfect, relaxing getaway!

This mahestic place is very deep in the mountains. Make sure your vehicles are equipped for sure. An absolute Beautiful spot right next to the river. The house is perfect. Be prepared to loose celluar service and just unplug.

Great place to stay! Very quaint very well decorated and conveniently located. The cabin was very clean, the bed was comfortable. We had no issues with anything working. The owners checked in with us to make sure everything was alright when we arrived. Would most definitely recommend the rental to family and friends!
