The property was great for a small getaway. All your amenities were stocked , along with board games, movies and video games. You are in close proximity of Blue Ridge and Ellijay if you want to spend the day in either. The cabin is really tucked away and very quiet. You do have a small hike down to the boat dock but itâs nothing that you canât handle. The only thing I would suggest is changing the mattress in the master bedroom because it is a little hard along with the pillows. I would also add some shades in the kitchen to the side windows . Other than that the cabin was wonderful. I would definitely book again. The owner is very hospitable and communicative . I appreciate the card and peach cider! Oh and be prepared for the narrow road leading to cabin.
We finally stayed at a cabin in the mountains like we had been wanting for a while and it did not disappoint. The view from the porch and dining room was breathtaking. The cabin was nice and spacious, and beautifully decorated. Also had all the basics in the kitchen where we made breakfast and dinner everyday. The trip up to the cabin is a bit difficult for those who have never driven up a mountain with narrow roads so I definitely recommend to get there before it gets dark. Also I wouldnât make plans to go fishing or going to the dock unless you have experience hiking down difficult terrain because the slope to go down to the dock is very very steep. We really enjoyed our trip to this beautiful cabin and would definitely come back again. Also I would recommend it to any couple or family that would like a quiet retreat away from the city.
This cabin will not disappoint! It was very comfortable and had every thing we needed for our get away in the mountains. We really enjoyed the views of the lake off the back deck. It was very private and quiet there. We loved going down to the lake and had a lot of fun canoeing, fishing off of the dock, and watching all of the wildlife. Absolutely perfect!
You should know the path to the lake is very steep and long. If you arent going to the lake, the cabin and view is nice. Also the road up the mountain is narrow and steep. We left after 1 night instead of 5. Will not return.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were able to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful setting this cabin is located in. We were also able to take in the fun that Blue Ridge has to offer and some of the surrounding area. We really enjoyed it
A great place to stay! Minutes to Blue Ridge where we rode the train and shopped and not too far to the Georgia Mnt.Fairgrounds where we took in the Montgomery brothers concert. We had a wonderfully weekend!
The cabin was everything that it was advertised to be. It was clean, bright, and stocked with everything that you need. Sitting at the kitchen table, watching the sunrise over the mountains and the lake was stunning. I loved sitting on the porch at night listening to all the crickets. It was close enough to everything but just far enough away from it all.
This cabin was everything that was advertised! We love it and the views it offered. The owner communicated with us and was very receptive and responsive when we needed to ask a question.
Highly recommend this cabin!
We had an amazing stay enjoying the peace of the lake and the mountains. The host was fabulous and always available. We truly enjoyed our welcome gift!
Cabin was beautiful but the drive to the cabin was difficult. The road was one lane yet two-way traffic on a steep incline. The kayak was full of mud and the canoe was tied up on such a steep slope that we couldn't launch it. We chose this cabin because we wanted to do some paddling.
My youngest adult son and I spent a few nights at this rental. Gorgeous lake view. We only got to fish for a short time due to a major cold front but still so serene and beautiful. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace which is rare these days and we spent most of our time in the cabin around the fire. Overall a fun and relaxing time and Sheena is top notch with communication. We even had a welcome large bottle of apple cider and a very nice hand written card.
You will not lack anything when you stay here- the peacefulness, being totally relaxed and calm surroundings. If you need a place to celebrate with your partner/spouse, do some soul searching or just get away from the busy lives that we live- Itâs perfect!! The owners were responsive to every text and email. They have everything you need to not have to go anywhere besides getting the groceries. You will fall in love with this placeđ
First time staying at a cabin. I did not know what to expect so I decided to bring everything I thought I would need. What a waste of my time, this cabin has everything you can possibly need and more. Iâm a clean freak I even brought Clorox to clean my bathroom but hey...this place is immaculate when it comes to cleanness. This views are beautiful. My girls enjoyed the place. Will come back again...just with my hubby next time lol.
Mostly quiet area, unless neighbors have kids-voices carry
Print out the directions. Beautiful cabin on a "pond" not a lake. We had quiet for most of the week we were there, however the cabin next to this one had lots of new guest with loud kids. The cabin is amazing with rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking a pond. The birds singing & nightly fireflies were truly enjoyed. I was surprised that there were 2 towels & washrags for a week stay. ONLY 2 rolls of t.p for a week (bring extra) I didn't want to do Laundry, but did because we use fresh towels every 3 days. The trek down to the little dock was scary-couldn't bring anything with us. The canoe was too heavy to pull down from the area it was kept for us. Had a grill we used to grill hot dogs. Note: the enclosed fire pit is seasonal & this isn't mentioned as we made our choice based of off a lake & ability to have a fire. It's a short drive down to get to both little towns near. I would recommend stopping at Walmart on the way in to get things needed for your stay. We enjoyed our stay, but felt it was misrepresented. The welcome gift of peach cider was appreciated. The bed was comfortable & water pressure great. Kitchen had ok pots & pans. Couch to sit was very uncomfortable- go outside and rock. Lots to do in the area.
We had a wonderful time at Sheenaâs beautiful lakeside cabin. The home and view are amazing and came stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sheena was a pleasure to book with and always accessible for any questions we had.
We had a great time at the Lake Hideaway cabin. The cabin is cleaned and well equipped with everything you need, from kitchen, bathrooms, beds and even a canoe with live vests for everyone. The views from the cabin are awesome.
We appreciate the owner left us a bottle of strawberry cider and a nice holiday card.
Getting to the cabin is an adventure, you must follow the directions to avoid getting lost.
