Peace and serenity

The River Chalet was perfect! The views and sound of the river brought a level of peace to this otherwise chaotic world. Definitely recommend this property for those looking for a true escape.

Great house

Had a wonderful couple days with friends. The house was close to town but far enough away for some quiet by the river. Delightful.

3 couples spent six nights in this house and it was the perfect, relaxing week. The kitchen was well appointed with an excellent supply of glasses, plates and overall kitchenware. The kitchen was sufficiently roomy so three people could easily prepare meals without being on top of each other. The best part of our stay was the abundant wildlife. We had daily visits (across the river) from black bear, bald eagles, beavers and various water fowl. We spent hours enjoying the solitude from the upper deck and from inside when it was too warm to be outside. It was a short walk to an amazing candy store and brief drive to town. If we plan to return to Leavenworth we will definitely consider staying again. Some advice to future renters (none of which is a negative in our mind):1. Follow the owner’s guidance explicitly on entering and exiting the driveway. Hwy 2 can be very busy. 2. Check fishing regulations in advance. We did, so we were not taken off guard but the river is closed to fishing. 3. There is quite a bit of road noise. This did not bother us and we barely heard anything from the back deck. Just an fyi if you sensitive to this. 4. Common with vacation rentals, but the ice maker in the refrigerator/freezer is not connected. Plan to bring lots of ice if you need it for drinks. It was the perfect retreat for us. We hope to be back!

Wonderful Home close to Leavenworth

My Husband and I brought our two kids (2 years, and 9 months) to stay. We loved the location so close to Leavenworth, but felt very secluded although right off the highway. The views from the home were breathtaking. It had pretty much all the amenities we needed including for cooking at the home most of the trip. We really enjoyed the hot tub and cleanliness of the home. I do wish I would have researched better So I knew there were only showers and no tubs (made it difficult for my littles) maybe include a picture of the bathrooms showers? Anyway, we would give 6 stars if we could! We loved it.

Absolutely Stunning Location & House

We spent a 4-night honeymoon stay at the property & would definitely return! We immensely enjoyed sitting in the living room chairs which were oh so comfortable in front of the fireplace gazing out the huge windows, soaking in the hot tub, & enjoying the fresh air on the decks (upper & lower) all while gazing at the breathtaking river & mountain views. The house had multiple spacious bedrooms & bathrooms & all the amenities you could possibly want. We did try out most of the beds & found the mattresses all to be too firm for our liking but we do prefer a softer mattress so it just depends upon your preference (we were able to use the extra bedding & pillows for additional cushion). The property is conveniently located to Leavenworth (I recommend going to The Alps Fudge/Candy shop on your way) & we found so many post card picturesque spots along the way to explore & take pictures. Also, don't forge to sign the guest book (just one of the cute extras in the house). I would highly recommend this property & the communication with the property manager was easy!
