Hi Danielle! Thank you for the 5-star rating and thank you for thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear you and your family loved the home, especially the pool and game room. Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad that you enjoyed your stay in the home but we're sorry to hear about the inconvenience with the trash and toilet paper. Just like at home, our vacation rental follows a scheduled trash pickup day. Unfortunately, if a previous guest has generated more waste than usual, we don’t have the ability to have it removed before the designated collection time. We do our best to manage this, but there are some limitations when guests overlap or check out close to pickup day.

Hi Jeffrey. Thank you for your honest and thoughtful review — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and honest opinion. We're very sorry to hear the pool wasn’t up to standard and that some expectations weren’t met. Your feedback is extremely helpful, and we’re already looking into the areas you mentioned, including the pool service and patio. We’re also reviewing how amenities are communicated to ensure more clarity going forward. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to have the chance to provide a better experience in the future.

Dear Guest, thank you for stopping in at Shaker of Salt. Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your stay. We truly appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to address them. Guest feedback like yours is extremely important to us, as it helps us identify areas that need attention and improvement. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment surrounding the pool during your visit. We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially when planning a weekend stay with family. Thank you for highlighting the condition of the pool, the water level, temperature, and cleanliness, as well as the heater issue. We want to assure you that these concerns are being actively addressed to ensure the pool is fully operational and properly maintained going forward. We also appreciate you bringing the washing machine issue to our attention. We understand how inconvenient this would be, particularly when expecting to return to clean laundry after a busy day, and this is likewise being attended to. Thank you as well for noting the positive aspects of your stay. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the game room, the spacious layout, comfortable gathering areas, and the well-stocked kitchen. Your comments regarding the master bedroom mattress have also been noted, and we appreciate you sharing this so we can review and improve guest comfort. We truly value your feedback and are grateful for your help in highlighting these issues. Please know that we take guest concerns seriously and are committed to making the necessary improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide a stay that fully meets—and exceeds—expectations.

Hi Cynthia! Thank you for your feedback—we’re glad to hear you found the home clean, well-maintained, and a good fit for your group. We're very sorry the pool wasn’t in usable condition during your stay. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our guests, and we understand how disappointing it must have been, especially given your advance booking. We’ve followed up with our pool vendor to ensure better service moving forward. Regarding the supplies, as outlined in our guest charter, the home is stocked with a very basic starter pack, which includes minimal paper products and essentials to get you started. We truly appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and hope we’ll have the opportunity to provide a much better experience in the future.
